Salty Soul Island Kitchen

What a great find. We went to Dunedin to visit a couple of breweries and found this restaurant right down the street. The hostess was super friendly and we were seated right away. It's a really lovely restaurant with lots of outdoor seating and indoor with a cool surf theme. Our waitress was equally as nice and she took our drink order very quickly.They have a full bar and lots of wine and beer selections. We stated with an appetizer and selected the Tune Poke Cups. They are very interesting and we loved the contents of tuna, avocado, cucumber and green onions. They were tossed in soy sauce topped with Homemade spicy Volcano sauce and black sesame seeds. They are in 3 plantain cups which were good but also very thick and were a bit thick and seemed to overtake the contents.I went with a 3 taco combo the Volcano Shrimp, Fish-blackened and the Shrimp-blackened. The Volcano Shrimp has fried shrimp, Mango Jicama slaw with Spicy Volcano sauce topped with shredded cheese. Super flavorful.The Fish tacos were similar in term of ingredients but with blackened whitefish.The Shrimp tacos had corn & bean slaw with Homemade Shaka sauce. They all had very unique flavor. I did a side of hush puppies with the tacos and they also were super good and sweet.Really enjoyed the experience and will definitely make it back to try so other menu items, there are a ton of other options besides just tacos.

We were looking for a family friendly place to have lunch in downtown Dunedin and this place came highly recommended! There is plenty of outdoor seating of picnic tables and great for big groups! We found a nice table on the side. They are very kid friendly and our kids got a kids menu activity sheet and crayons to draw which they loved! Kids menu was decent- my kids had the chicken bowl and the quesadilla and came with rice or fries. I took 1 star off as there were no veggies offered or included! I ordered the taco bowl and hubby had the burrito. They were tasty and flavorful and big enough portions. The service was top notch- they were super attentive and they kept checking in on us if we needed anything. This place had a great vibe and would definitely come back here again! Also love the decor and the cute photo op places! Overall I rate it 4/5

It is a beachy-feeling bar and restaurant located in downtown Dunedin. The menu has so much to choose from. The staff is welcoming and attentive. It has a great patio, indoor and outdoor bar, and a good-sized indoor area for gathering with friends. My GBLT sandwich was delicious!

We just stopped in to enjoy a drink and an appetizer of chips and salsa. I have to say the Coco mojito was wonderful. They actually use Don Q Coco rum also known as coconut rum. They used fresh mint and true coconut. The presentation of the drink was just wonderful and The taste was even better. The service was quick and prompt and they were quick to ensure we were well taken care of and received any refills as needed. The ambiance is a light open air venue that is welcoming and tropical feeling even though you are sitting in downtown Dunedin. Definitely a place to go and enjoy not only a great drink but they have a great selection of food as well.

Good service, great atmosphere and food. We're not drinkers but the cocktails looked beachy and generous. Definitely a place we'll add to our "regulars" go-to list.

After leaving honeymoon island, we wanted to try a new place to eat. We found Salty Soul Island Kitchen and was not disappointed. It is located in what looks like a neighborhood. Looks like it was a house that was transformed into a restaurant. They have inside and outside seating. We sat on the outside where you would think a front yard is. The service was great. We also ordered the Tropical Pork Cups, and they were delicious. Full of pulled pork. For entrees, we ordered the Baja Bowl with Tuna, the tortilla Bowl was cooked perfectly, and the tuna was seared amazingly. We also got the Island Poke Dinner. The description would make you think it's a pretty spicy meal, but it actually wasn't. It had just enough spicy to eat it and enjoy the taste. A place we will be back to for sure.

Absolutely LOVE this place!! Super chill vibe, extremely friendly staff and mostImportantly! Cold drinks and good food. My favorite are the smash burgers, I have tried other menu items that were also very tasty, but the Smash Burger calls to me! You won't go wrong popping in anytime of the day, however there is usually live music in the later afternoon- evenings.

We stopped in after we got back home post hurricane Milton. We were happy to see that Salty Soul was up and running no worse for ware. We sat outside like we always do al a two-top. We were in the mood for fish tacos so I ordered one blackened fish and one shrimp. My wife ordered one grilled fish. Both came with a generous portion of chips and salsa. We also ordered the nacho cheese sauce to dip the chips. The food was great, the beer was cold and the service was friendly and attentive. We love this place.

Visited this place for the first time and loved it. It's in a cute historic little building with a bar that opens to the outside. We stopped in for some lunch on a weekday. We had the steak burrito and the chip trio, both of which were outstanding. The guac was probably some of the best that I've had (outside of Mexico, anyway). The service was quick, and everything was fresh and delicious. The atmosphere was super cool, to boot. We'll definitely come back next time we're in palm harbor!

Enjoyable spot just off the trial and right next to all of the breweries. Good option for some lunch while drinking. The staff was friendly and they have a decent beer menu with a larger food menu. It is your typical bar and grill style menu but found all of our plates to be better versions of bar food. A cool vibe with surfboard shaped tables.
