20 min cook time - call ahead if possible.I ordered the Red Snapper (Spicy), Black Beans and White Rice. They were not prepared for juice on their menu - I guess that means it is fresh when available.Plantains were cooked in an odd or old oil.The Red Snapper, Spices, Black Beans and Rice were a home run! Excellent. The price was a bit higher than I anticipated, but the food is good enough for a return.

Yelping 2400 -- Rare Ethnic Cuisine 59, Haitian Cuisine. Although they receive five star, they are actually 4.5 stars in my book. This restaurant is a take out place. Not sitting area or dine in. I was wanting to try this restaurant when they just open. I want to be the first review but some one beat me to it.I got the goat in the sauce. This is goat with creole sauce. The goat is a bit smelly which mean the process do not include like soak in the milk to soften the smell. But the dish is still good. The second dish is the griot -- it is fried pork. This is popular item of the list. They have good fried systems. All dish come with rice and fried plantain. The rice have a choice of white rice and bean, mixed rice and bean or black rice. I would recommend the black rice. The black rice is actually their specialty. It is a mushroom rice. Very delicious. You need to be a little patient to come to this place. Because they cook all food right there. So it requires 15 minutes wait minimum from order.

Very good Haitian food for take out.Sabine's is a tiny little storefront that specializes in take-out. You can call ahead, and she'll estimate when the food will be ready. Be prepared to wait as I think she is overly optimistic about when she'll be done. Sabine is very nice and very enthusiastic. The food is good, but it's not my favorite. I tried the fried chicken and the fried pork. Neither kept well during the drive home, but a quick zap in my air fryer got the griot back to crispy goodness. The fried chicken was only okay -- it wasn't crispy, and seasoning didn't soak through. I like Alez's (on Fowler) version much better. The black rice and the rice and beans were both good, with the beans cooked until they were perfectly creamy. The pikliz were good, and she gave a generous serving.I ordered the mixed vegetables too, but she forgot them in my order. Oh well. It looks like she works with some of the food delivery services, so that might be a better option as the location isn't the best.

I went here on a whim I just googled Haitian food near my job and found this hidden gem. First off you can tell a lot about a restaurant by their piklis and hers is amazingly delicious. Her Pate is original old school style and very tastey. If you make it to Tampa you have to stop here. She also has an award for woman's business she won this year. Also try her smoothies! This is gonna be my lunch spot from now on.I went here the next day and got her Mac and cheese, chicken w sauce and rice and beans omg! Bon baguy! Me and my coworker loved it. Thank you!!

This place was a sweet surprise. So clarification, I didn't personally go, this was an Uber eats order. I ordered the griot with white rice and an order of cabbage. She called me to tell me they were out of white rice and asked instead if she can replace with beans and rice, made the switch! First time having hatian food and this won't be my last. Everything was so flavorful and the boxes were well packed. I especially enjoyed the cabbage. Never had it prepared that way but it was so good. This is on my places for go to good food. FYI: I could not finish it lol

It's been a minute since I last had Haitian food and Sabine's did not disappoint. We ordered legumes, griot, and the fried chicken plate all with rice and black bean sauce and an order of bannan peze and pikliz. All of it was very tasty and the owner was extremely nice and very friendly. The portions are huge and it was well worth the wait. Go check it out.

This small restaurant gives mom and pop vibes but is very nice inside and you know the BEST most lit food always comes from a momma's type of house! We enjoyed our food very much. It's hard to say which was our favorite... it was hot, very well seasoned and the customer service was excellent! Will come back again!
