Rumba Island Bar & Grill

We went at the perfect time in between lunch and dinner rush.Our server was excellent.We ate the shrimp trio and raw oysters appetizers. Oysters were fresh and the shrimp was amazing.Brother had the killer hot fish sandwhich....delicious. I had the jerk chicken which was great!

I'd like to say this was a great seafood spot, but it really is just a good seafood place. The shrimp looked attractive, but no fresh fried shrimp all look identical. The taste wasn't bad except for a couple of them had a soapy taste as if the bowl hadn't been rinsed properly.,The salad and muffins were really tasty. The mahi mahi was drowning in so much sauce that anything could have been hiding under there. There was a Santa convention that day and the staff were overwhelmed with not enough staff . Had to chase down the server for the check after waiting forever. The food did come out hot and that means a lot to me.

I love this place. Truly. The food is some of the best I've had. The all day happy hour menu can't be beat. The wings are FIRE. The fish spread is amazinggggg.Every server/bartender is the sweetest and friendliest! The establishment is always clean and orderly.Make sure to get the rolls!

This was our first time here, and I am speechless! It's another fantastic local spot that really hits the mark. I ordered the rice bowl with chicken, and with my first bite, I couldn't believe how delicious it was! My husband also enjoyed his wings. The drinks were a hit, with special prices during happy hours--yes, hours! Live music was playing as well. We sat at the bar, and our bartender was very attentive, ensuring our drinks kept coming.I would highly recommend this place for its excellent food, local vibe, and great live music, along with outdoor seating.

Been here a number of times with family and friends and it has pretty decent food and nice outdoor seating. On my most recent visit I had the fried green tomatoes eggs benedict which I probably wouldn't order again - good fried green tomato and country ham but the biscuit was dry and one egg was hard cooked (not poached) and the other was cold. My sister had the shrimp and grits though and really liked it. And the service here is great so I'll be back, I'll just try something else for brunch.

Matt & Genesis were both very knowledgeable and punctual! I got the bar bites nachos & a blueberry lemon drop. Both were great. Nachos were suuuuper wet so in the future, I would get all wet things on the side! But you seriously cannot be the happy hour. 2for1, good selection. Outside and inside seating. I will be back :)

We went for Happy Hour (Buy 1 Get 1 drinks). The weird thing is you have to get them both at once so it doesn't make it great because the ice melts in one before you can even drink the first one that and their flavors of their drinks are not good. Had a margarita and sangria both were pretty awful.. food wise we tried a variety of appetizers, including peel any shrimp, fish, bread, chicken wings, jalapeño poppers. The only one that I would recommend would probably be the jalapeño peppers and then a lot of our table was upset because it doesn't say they have bacon in them and so my poor friends who can't eat pork, were really surprised by this and had to not eat it, the fish spread is ridiculously small. Sitting outside is a nice area although traffic is loud. Staff was friendly and helpful, but clearly weren't happy with the idea of just drinks and apps

We went after lunch just to see what it was like. Happy Hours with $5.99 Apps! Can you believe that! We had the clam bake that didn't have clam but some sort of fish (you can tell clams don't flake like a fish) and no bueno here. The Shrimp was fantastic even though it was warm via microwave. The only thing on the Apps worthy of 5 Star. Fish spread, well what was I expecting for $5.99? The oysters were small and a bit embarrassing. I ordered one dozen. If you are going to charge $12 per half dozen at least make yourself proud. For the Entrée, we had the burger, Steam Mussels, and Chicken Jerk.The beer was flowing and it was cold but they ran out of Miller light.Omg, please be patient with the kitchen, and make sure you have time to enjoy the ambiance. There was music by a local girl, playing guitar and singing cover songs.My Jerk Chicken was good. It was worth the wait, the spices were blended well and made by Jamaica's finest chef. Steam Mussels- made like the famous drunken mussels, was not bad, and sauteed with wine a butter- and you can see tomato and onion. The Cheeseburger served with sweet potato fries was marvelous.You can overlook the wait, but do take advantage of the $5.99 apps and $2.99 beer. For now, a 3.5-star yet deserving of another visit soon.
