They are open with a fantastic updated menu. The chef, Steve makes soups and other main dishes from scratch. Some faves are red wine braised short ribs and miso marinated salmon. Chimichurri chicken and crab cake sandwiches are excellent. The menu includes wings and burgers. Friendly service! Full bar and Happy Hour from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. Beautiful outdoor seating!

This place is a gem. it's located on the grounds of the St. Pete Racquet Club. Their outside seating is in a beautiful patio with flowers and plantings all around. The food is good. They have many gluten-free options. I had the Greek chicken wrap with hummus, which was huge and delicious. The service was excellent. Also, the salads looked very good.

You'd never know it's there as no sign on street but don't miss having lunch or dinner at the "Root & Clay" located in the Racket Club at 170 47th Avenue in St. petersburg. We stopped by before going to St. petersburg Opera and were not disappointed. They have a selection of wraps, sandwiches, salads and a few entrees plus there is a full bar. The wraps we ordered were fully loaded with chicken, avocado, fresh lettuce and a special home made sauce. Delicious and so large had to bring half home. The decor is tennis clubhouse and there is outdoor seating when weather not too hot. Do yourself a favor and try "Root & Clay" because it won't disappoint.

We are so happy to have this gem in the neighborhood! We ate here for the first time last night and it was beyond our expectations! It's not just a restaurant to go to because it's convenient, it's totally worth driving across town for. Yes it's with-in a tennis club, but don't be fooled! The food and service is taken very serious. We had 4 in our party, and we all got something different. It all was outstanding! The one thing that shined the brightest was the Short-rib, the best I have ever had, WOW! Everyone at the table raved over what they had. They have a nice full bar, beer, and a small but decent wine selection. Really nice large outdoor patio space, the indoors is decent. The VALUE here is outstanding!$!$! Maybe the cheapest cocktails in town. Now the service,...The best service we have had in a long long time! We were extremely impressed with the two young ladies El & Ashley that waited on us! One of us at the table is a collage professor, and made the statement they were the hardest working young people he had seen in a long while. They were extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and seemed to love what they were doing. They both expressed the chef & owner was fantastic and it spills over into their enthusiasm. I really hope people give this place a chance!
