I really enjoyed my 6 day stay here. State of the art service and property with great amenities and I will definitely return whenever in Tampa. My only complaint is that small details matter with cleaning and maintenance. Behind the couch was filthy. The cleaning crew needs to thoroughly clean the space. Not only for customers but for the longevity of the property maintenance. Also, the patio door rails where it slides were also filthy and look poorly maintained. Again, this is a beautiful property and a little love and care for the minor details will ensure happy customers and longevity of property. Everything else was perfect!

Came here for my SO's birthday. We live locally but wanted to checkout waterside. There for several hotel and rental options, but decided to stay at the roost. It was a phenomenal decision. The location is perfect. We were able to walk to several different restaurants and bars. We walked to channel side and got an unlimited water taxi ticket and explored the different stops. That night we walked to the trolley station and took a trolley into Ybor and hung out. The lady at the front desk, I cannot remember her name was great with restaurant recommendations. The check-in was fairly easy with the exception of not being able to find the loading area, But we got checked in OK and from there it was super easyThe room was like a fully furnished apartment, with a full size washer and dryer an apartment size refrigerator, and freezer. The refrigerator had a water maker and the freezer made ice. there is also a oven stove, microwave, coffee maker, which they provide coffee beans, and a coffee bean grinder.The roost is a beautiful property with many amenities. One thing they did not have which surprised me with it being such a nice property is no USB outlets nor did the extension cords have USB outlets. It is a small thing, but when you leave your charger at home and have to buy a cord, you don't think about that. I was able to charge my phone by plugging it into the USB at the back of the TV, so not a big deal All in all, it was a wonderful stay check in to the front desk clerks to the accommodations. I would certainly stay here again.

Update to my previously submitted review11/29/23 update to my previously submitted review:The general manager Eli Kostbar, responded to my review which I will offer my rebuttal to certain points he listed:1) "However, as we were unable to accommodate your early check in......I was never told they could not accommodate my early request in fact when I first checked in at 1:30pm, the woman told me that my room was at the last part of being ready for me so it should be done shortly. I was allowed up to their 7th floor to sit and "enjoy in the interim". It is a floor that has seats and nothing else. I had been up since 5am flying and had half a bottle of water and nothing to eat. I have an autoimmune disease which makes me dizzy and nauseous without food and plenty of water. I sat for an hour and a half before I began emailing via the booking.com phone app.2) "Our team continued to receive multiple verbally abusive, rude and threatening phone calls and messages from you prior to our check in time such as "Don't bother, I will never stay here again and will be hitting all social media with my negative reviews.." This is misleading how it is listed by Mr. Kostbar. The only multiple things were my messages of which after an hour and a half watching others get their calls rooms were ready which was before the set in stone 4pm check in, yes I was upset. I called 1 time and the woman kept talking over me repeating the check in time is 4pm so getting nowhere I hung up. The "don't bother" I was telling the director of rooms in a phone call not to come down but he was saying things to me like "did you just say...?" and was strong in his manner and not at all what I expected from a "manager" with curt tones and sarcastic responses! 3) "We were attempting to upgrade you complimentary to accommodate your early check in request but we're hung up on..." yes I was offered an upgrade but it was never told to me to accommodate my early check in...I told the director of rooms I didn't want the upgrade but before I could add because I just wanted a room, I was told my reservation was being cancelled! 4) "We genuinely care about the satisfaction of our guests and aim to provide the best possible experience. Though your feedback does not accurately convey the full story..." The general manager's response does not accurately convey the full story. I'm a 62 year old woman with health issues coming to spend Thanksgiving with my kids. Instead I'm told by the director of rooms my reservation is canceled and was then humiliated by being escorted out of the hotel at 4pm with nowhere to go. This is people who genuinely care about their guests? Yes I was upset and yet was told Tommy and his team are not going to deal with me and escorted out! Tommy even told my son that I was verbally abusive about Hispanic people which never happened! So I'm still being harassed, abused and untruths are being stated now by the general manager! Please beware about this hotel and how they deal with upset people...me a 62 year old woman alone and put outside to fend for myself in a strange city! I cannot believe a director an now the general manager are going after me with stories of things that did not happen and reduce themselves to such unprofessional behavior. This is what your values are towards your guests or people in general.

Avoid for business travel even though near the Conference Center.The Roost is not an AMEX recommended resort. Though booked through AMEX nothing is refundable or adjustable. Made a huge mistake using them for business travel. My reservation changed and they would not refund or adjust as typical for anything booked with AMEX.Again a major reminder as a business traveler to never use anything local given the risk of them trying to charge for things not used.

The individuals on the forefront are the true face of a company or business. Oftentimes, companies forget to appreciate the ones that are actually the reason for customers' return. I visited The Roost Hotel in Tampa, Florida, this month and had an amazing week's stay! Had a minor hiccup the first night, but Josette assisted to alleviate the problem, and everything turned out fine. I loved the modern aesthetics of the property, including the smart vending machine that dispensed hot food. The hotel was also great for remote work. I was a little bummed that the pool closed at sundown. However, I was able to enjoy the pool and the jacuzzi one day after working. The location of this property is ideal. There are many things to explore and places to eat within walking distance. The customer service and support were top tier from Josette, Ashley, Griffin, and Betsy. I'm so grateful for the opportunity to cross paths with such awesome people. I hope this company's executives actually find a way to thank the people listed above! Looking forward to my next visit!

My wife and I frequent Tampa as much as we can. We like to try new hotels especially if they are close to where we need to go for that trip. We got to the hotel about two hours early and were informed that they would call when are room was available. We were provided with a key so that we could park our vehicle and explore certain parks of the hotel until then. This was also no big deal since it was a nice day so we just went for a walk. Once in our room we started to have issues that were no person fault. Attempts were made to correct this and it was unsuccessful. I went to the front desk to see if we could move to a room of equal value. As the front desk employees were looking in to this Tommy McCormick who is the Director of Rooms overheard the conversation. Tommy stepped in and took over the process for moving us and let's just say it was above and beyond. Tommy checked in with us the next day and even reached out two weeks later as well. Defiantly staying here again. All of the staff was amazing.On top of all of this, the fitness center is one of the best you will find in a hotel. Plenty of places in walking distance for food and drinks as well.

I used to enjoy The Roost, and have stayed there for business over a week every month for over a year. It has changed. I checked in this evening, dealing with a surly man at the front desk, Michael, who gave me keys to a room that had alarms blaring. I asked for help and a new room and was refused. I was told maintenance "might" come, but it was "after hours" so that wasn't definite. These all proved to be lies and the story kept changing. Every time I asked for assistance, the story changed. I asked Michael why he was lying to me, and he cut me off, told me I must be having some sort of problem, and hung up on me. The Roost costs over $400 a night, minus taxes and fees. This treatment is absurd and shameful. It not Michael's fault that this time I'm here mid-week for a funeral, but I did tell him why I'm here, and he continued to mock me. I'm disgusted and can only recommend that you stay anywhere else.

Roost hotel has amazing services, amenities, and staff. I am so very satisfied with my stay at Roost. The attentiveness from the front desk staff (Griffin, Jason, and Carter) was top notch, to the property contact, Tommy, who was accessible and accommodating the whole time. Elida, Savannah, and Eddy were very helpful on the amenities level as well. I would 10/10 recommend this hotel to my friends and family. So grateful for the experience and I am looking forward to next time.
