TLDR: best empanadas like no other!! Colombian bakery made for the best of foodies. We happened upon this bakery much by accident. We went for the notary and stayed for the food if you will believe it. The coffee is strong and the food is unbeatable. The salsa is perfectly flavored as well. The empanadas are made with a corn base rather than a wheat or flour based pastry shell and I have never experienced this before. It is a Columbia bakery so the corn based exterior with creamy interior make these empanadas like no others! Fresh baked breads and friendly staff. This is a MUST try bakery if you are in the area for sure! Ample parking quaint little bakery sometime the cashier speaks mostly Spanish but as an English speaker I have never had trouble getting my order communicated. I wish I spoke Spanish but Spanglish is my best. Last week the girl was so sweet and other patrons even gave us recommendations as I had brought my daughter. The guava pastry was a new try and my daughter loved it!

I went for breakfast here, and it was an excellent experience and the people were so attentive. I recommend this place if you want something new or try Colombian cuisine.

Love Colombian bakery, so we had to stop get some goodies. This is a smaller bakery with Colombian breads. They also have a few sweets, and sandwich and coffee options. We ordered a couple empanadas, arepas de choclo(yellow corn arepas) guava and cheese roscon(guava and cheese loaf), pan de Bono(cheese rolls) and pan de coco(coconut).Comparing to other places that I have tried these, they were just ok. I think my favorite was the arepas de choclo because I could make our own lunches with these. Other than that, the roscon lacked in the guava and cheese and the pan de Bono was dense rather than light and spongy, the pan de coco was flavorless. I think when in this area, I have my go to place and I'll stick with that.

My first time at this bakery was with my mother. We shared a cinnamon pastry stick with some café con leche. Both were good but I didn't feel like I could write a review based on just those 2 items. So, I decided to go back recently after my visit to Foundation Coffee. Why is that? Because that's where they get their amazingly fresh guava pastries. I'm so glad I asked about it because now I have 2 Colombian bakeries in the area that I love. Anyway, these guava pastries are my newest favorite. Most definitely the best in the Riverview/Brandon area. They are not only fresh but they are also pretty to look at. They have little vents at the top of the pastry layer along with crisp edges. It doesn't have the consistency of sawdust like a certain well-known bakery in Brandon (which will remain nameless). They are also a good size compared to some of my favorite bakeries in Tampa. Oh, and they are also very affordable (which is a big plus). The cinnamon pastry sticks are fantastic, and great with coffee. It was a great second visit. Both my husband and mother loved the pastries that I got for them.My visit this morning was all about the pastries and hot case of Colombian appetizers. I had to try their buñuelos, empanadas, and pan de bono. I didn't know that there was such a thing as pan de yuca until I saw it today. I had to try it. Well, I liked everything that I purchased today including the Energia smoothie blended with milk. The inside of the buñuelos were soft and had a little sweetness to it. I've never had anything like it. It was a nice treat! Both the chicken and beef empanadas were full of flavor. I'm glad I went back for them before writing this review. It's a small bakery but they do have places to sit. They also have a virtual menu of breakfast and lunch items that they prepare for you. The tables have various hots sauces to add additional spice. The staff is friendly and very helpful. They are also bilingual which isn't always necessary at a bakery, but it helps. I'll be back when I get that craving for pastries and fried Latin goodness.

We stopped by for some cafe con leche and found they had a wonderful bakery. We had a churro doughnut and pan de yuca. The cafe con leche was way to sweet, should have asked for half the sugar. The doughnut and the cheesy bread were delightful. We ordered a guava and cheese turnover to go. They were also very delicious. We will be back for more of the wonderful breads!

This place...omg. This place is so amazing, I can't even put it into words. So freaking cheap too!!! The ladies working were so sweet also. I bought 4 empanadas, a cheese ball thing, guava and cheese bread (thats a huge ring), 2 churro donuts, another bread and two croissant type things and it came to only $23. Whaaat?!?! I wish this was closer to my house. My friend got passion fruit milk and loved it. This place will be on my to go list for sure.

Driving through Hillsborough County today, we stumbled through the back roads and finally found an amazing pastry shop. It is dedicated to Colombian breads, pastries, and rolls. The absolutely amazing thing is they also serve breakfast, fast food , as well as, hamburgers!Coffee, avena, lemonade, Malta and other Colombian delights. There is a weekend menu also.Cheese bread, coconut bread, guava pastry, bread pudding, corn cake and the list goes on! So much to eat,so little time, and not enough belt holes! So when you're on a road trip or dining out in this area this is a great stop! It's a definite five star bakery, that I will return to the next time that I'm in this county. Thumbs up for Rolo's Bakeshop!

Why call yourself a bakery if what you're "baking" is not fresh. Customer service sucked i showed her the cookies were clearly falling apart and she insisted they are always like that. 1/5 stars do not recommend.
