This is a bit of a tough one.Hello, friends.It's a Rocco's Restaurant Review from "The Restaurant Guy" .. former owner of The Chart Room in Cincinnati Ohio.My wife and I enjoyed the old style restaurant ambience of this establishment. And the menu was interesting with some old standards and some definitely new chef created dishes. And we must keep in mind that it's not really advertised as a restaurant but as a "pizza and café" place. I'm not giving it a very high rating because of a few things. The service was OK, acceptable. The neatness and comfort of the place was good. The menu was a bit pricey for a pizza and Café establishment. And we were very disappointed that there was nothing served before the meal.No bread, no crackers .. nothing.And, lastly, our meal was "okay". Nothing great or nothing to rave about in this review or to recommend to others.Basically, I would say that it really is just another pizza place .. albeit a nicer one and a more costly one.Maybe direct competition to Brother's.It is right down the street.I think both places are too pricey for a pizza that is "good" at best.Take your pick.Everything has gotten too expensive when eating out these days. My wife and I joined another couple for dinner on Saturday, February 8th. Sabrina was our server and she is sweet and courteous. I ordered the linguine and clams and my wife ordered eggplant parmigiana. My dish came in a small pot. I make linguine and clams myself so I know how it's done. I noticed my dish was very soupy meaning a lot of what looked broth not sauce. It was mostly broth and some of the clams seemed undercooked. Actually, only 5-6 clams which is not much. My wife's dish was not done well either. Her eggplant was not breaded (or lightly breaded) and served over pasta and soggy with sauce poured over the top. We ate our dinners and tipped generously. However I woke up this morning feeling sick. I'm certain it was from undercooked clams and sauce/broth. We had looked forward to our dinner but after this experience, we would not return.

Month later , gave it another try .... The food taste good but that's where it ends . $30 for stuffed grouper that could fit in my palm . They were running a special at the restaurant but I had to go maybe there was a mistake . I was asked what salads I wanted and never received them , that's my fault for not checking before I left. The place is nice the food does taste good but between my two experience it's enough for me .

I love Italian food. I've had it all over the world. Rocco's however is NOT the place to look for good Italian food. At best it was mediocre. The "Baked Ziti" wasn't baked. Looked like Ziti noodles either a slice of mozzarella thrown on top before being microwaved and topped with Ragu. The Bruschetta was ice box cold and service was slow. Oh did I say there were only 4 people there. To top it off, $57.00. WE WON'T BE BACK

I enjoyed the Sicilian pizza very much, the first time I went there. The second time was terrible. We didn't order pizza, I ordered lasagna and it was such a small piece. Plus, I could've made that lasagna and it would've been better. We also got chicken florentine and that was nothing to be excited about. Also an order of calamari. 2 small glasses of wine and two miller light bottles. $113 plus tip. I won't be back. I wanted to try this place for so long, the pizza was good but I'll never eat there again for anything. Way to much of a rip off. I'm pissed at myself for wasting so much money.

Went for dinner last Monday. Place was full, one server, one busboy, one chef. Our meal was delicious! Vanessa, our server, handled the full house with efficiency and a great attitude. The busboy assisted Vanessa and the chef made us a perfect meal. Highly recommend.

Paid $30 for their shit version of Ossobuco. Made with pork instead of veal, the pork was dry and extremely fatty, left a horrible taste in my mouth. The sauce was tasteless and filled with frozen peas and carrots. Wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. We also ordered a pizza and picked 3 toppings. We only received one topping and a very greasy soggy pizza.
