Riverview Fresh Market

My family and I order from Riverview Fresh Market at least once a week. Some items can be a hit or miss but overall quality is always good. On this day we ordered a Ropa Vieja Plate, Spaghetti and meatballs and Acapurria. Ropa Vieja- 4/5- The meat was tasty and tender, the yellow rice was a bit stale and the sweet plantains were perfectly fried. Tip: I was able to fix the rice by putting it in a bowl and adding a little water to it and then covering with a paper towel. This softened it up. Spaghetti and Meatballs- 4/5- The small size was perfect for my son but it contained peppers inside. He was not a fan. I thought it was good but if you don't like peppers in your food maybe stay clear of this one. Acapurria- 4/5- I received it cold as if it has been sitting out. The other items I ordered were hot upon arrival so this too should have been hot. It was tasty and greasy as you can tell from the bag in the picture.

This is a Spanish grocery store that also serves some delicious Spanish food. My friend introduced me here and I bought 3 ribs with rice and potato salad. While the ribs were small, they were tender and flavorful. The meat had a nice smoky flavor too. While it was not fall off the bone tender, it was easy to get the meat from the bones. The yellow rice was plentiful with beans, peas, and corn added. The potato salad was richer than I thought, but still delicious, especially with some boiled egg pieces inside. My friend took some hot sauce and I tried some of it inside the rice, and it added some nice kick and flavor. With the generous amount of food, I would have expected to pay at least 9 or 10 dollars for this. But it was only 7.99 for the whole food. I could not believe it. It was a great deal! I also took some coconut flan and enjoyed it, but it wasn't homemade and I didn't remember how much it cost. The staff was friendly and helpful in explaining the items, and they spoke good English and Spanish. The store is small with fresh veggies, meats, and beverages (and other items) that catered to the Spanish community. Parking can be a bit difficult and the lines for the food can be long. However, for great food at a wonderful price, it is well deserved. Definitely a must visit for Spanish food and groceries in the Riverview area.

The line for the food was wrapped around to the back of the store but it moved fairly fast. There were so many options and their portions were huge! The Pernil was a little dry but still very flavorful and well seasoned. My daughter enjoyed her chicken and left nothing behind. We also enjoyed the beef empanadas. The only thing that was difficult is not being able to communicate with the person that was helping us as he did not speak any English and we did not know what the different foods were in front of us but we got through and pointed out what looked good through suggestions from our friends that were with us. We will be back to try other items and hopefully will check out the store portion as well next time.

The line for takeout food was long but moved pretty quick. I ordered the stew chicken with rice & beans. It was really good! The produce looked really clean, neat, and organized.

WOW!! Can't believe how wonderful this spot is. It's almost too much to even say. Everything looks delicious and my ribs were incredible. Tamales were off the chain. Grocery items were the best. These people are doing the most in the best way. Can't wait to return again. Get here if you haven't.

I love this place. Good food at reasonable prices with generous portions. I will go there whenever I'm in the area.

Newly renovated and better than ever! For your Caribbean and Latin foods, this place has most of what you're looking for. I'm so happy that they expanded the shopping area and made the lanes wider! I've been coming here for a couple years and it always felt congested. They carry produce, meats, canned food and typical grocery store merchandise. Prices are reasonable! There's a small parking lot and it can also get congested, especially around lunch time, weekends and evening hours! There's a cooked food line and it's usually full! I've ordered food from them once and it was tasty! They are a bilingual (Spanish/English) grocery store/cooked food restaurant.

This is my new go-to for all my Latin grocery needs. I made that decision after visiting the store this past Sunday. I must say that I'd rather drive to this store in Riverview than go to the Latino Supermarket in Valrico. Why? Because it's so much cleaner at the Riverview Fresh Market. I also noticed that they carry various different brands of hot chocolate bars. Publix stopped carrying my mother's favorite brands (Menier and Cortez). I had to get them shipped through Amazon until now. I was so happy to see them on the shelf. I ended up getting the Cortez bars because they had a better sell by date. None of them were expired, but I just wanted to get a couple that would last longer.While I was there, I noticed a long line leading to the hot food counter. I couldn't resist it. I had to try the food. I got in line but didn't have to wait too long. It moved quickly. I was overwhelmed, and it took me a while to make my selections. Everything looked so good. I ended up getting a takeout box full of lechon asado, rice with gandules, and sweet plantains. I couldn't believe it was only $6. I also added a small container each of habichuelas rosadas and avocado salad. My Spanish is very bad, but I was somehow able to pull some sentences together that made sense to the young lady who was helping me. Everyone was helpful including the very sweet girl at the register. I will be returning often.

I go here alot to get meat love the prices decided to try the food and the turkey meat I got smelt like it was spoiled and I went around 8am . Also burnt my sandwich very badly.

Just moved to the area. Looks like a great little grocery store with a deli. The deli looked amazing!!
