Rhythm Pon De Grille

Recently tried Rhythm Pon De Grille at the Krate market area. The interior is clean and relatively spacious compared to other shops in the plaza. The staff were super kind and friendly.We got the medium jerk chicken plate. This dish was delicious and packed with food! Very good deal for ~$11, especially compared to other restaurants in the area which give half the food for twice the price. Loved the glaze on the jerk chicken. The rice and peas were perfectly cooked. Plantains were excellent.Will definitely be back to try their other dishes!

Not the best photos to show you how delicious these plates were, since everything was devoured with in minutes. My bestfriend and her family raves about this place so we had to try when I was in town. One of the restaurants at the Krate in Wesley Chapel. Festive vibes, really friendly staff, & delicious food. Their oxtail stew with rice & beans takes the cake. Fall of the bone tender & absolutely flavorful. Jerk chicken also a winner. Love the fried plantains. Big surprise was also the Jamaican patties - the curry & the beef were both really good. Must try!

They have some very tasty oxtail stew! To be honest, I thought everything ordered was full of flavor. The steamed cabbage was the best I've had so far. I could even taste the coconut oil. The fried plantains were perfectly ripe and sweet. The oxtail was tender and savory. You couldn't see it in my picture, but the butter beans were all hidden under the oxtail.Everything arrived to our table hot, fresh, and delicious. We were initially told that the oxtail wasn't ready yet. It did take a while to come out, but it gave me time to catch up with my old work buddy. It was so worth the wait. I shared my Sour Sop Drink with my friend. It was her first time trying guanabana. We loved it! This particular Cariblend Juices brand is blended with cane sugar and lime juice. The juices are made locally. They had other flavors, but this one really caught my attention. I need more of these natural tropical drinks in my life. So refreshing! They also had many other Jamaican sodas (Ting), drinks, juices, and beer.As you know, these restaurants have fully functional kitchens and AC inside the shipping containers. The aroma coming out of Rhythm Pon de Grille at opening time was intoxicating. They have very limited seating inside. Not a problem. We took advantage of their fully shaded outdoor space. They have huge black umbrellas shading you from the sun. We were under a heat advisory that day, but it didn't feel like it where we were sitting. We got a cool breeze every now & then. Would I go back? Absolutely! I want to try the rice and peas next time. I was trying to be good by getting plantains instead. I missed my favorite part, which is the rice soaked in all the flavors of the stew. Next time!!!

First time ever trying there small size Jerk chicken. Brown rice and kidney beans with sautéed pepper and cabbage and 2 sweet plantains and 2 pieces of glistening jerk chicken ,and a side of RED STRIPE . Sat outside with island music under tarp as it was raining . Great price .. coming back

We have been craving Jamaican food. We decided to meet our kids here for an early dinner and it is well worth the 35 minute drive. Decided to get a Red Stripe while waiting for the food to come out. I got the oxtail dinner and my wife ordered the curry goat. Bothe we're very good. True Jamaican flavors. The dinner comes with steamed cabbage and rice and peas. This was enough for 2 full meals each.The Krate area is very unique experience. Rhythm was quaint and efficient. Plenty of tables available on the patio.We are planning to return for further exploration.

I tried the jerk chicken and rice mix. The chicken was very mild but good flavors. The meat was pretty good, even on the bone (I can be a bit picky with meat). Everything tasted really good though, I just wish it was a tad spicier. Next time I will go with the "hot" jerk chicken! This is definitely a place I would like to come back to though.

Best goat curry and jerk chicken I have had outside of Jamaica! This is good food! Authentic flavor with nice portions.

The food was delicious. Oxtails, chicken, and the curry chicken were on point. The new cook is amazing and nice. The medium portions are enough for two people, so you get plenty of food. Make sure to get a Jamaican Ginger beer as well. Also, very clean. Will definitely be back.

I had been intending to try the restaurant for a while. I was glad I did. I tried the jerk chicken. It had a deep, smokey, and spicy flavor. Some of the best I've had. The jerk sauce seems to be a modern interpretation of traditional jerk sauce and reminded me much more of a Thai sweet chili sauce. Some may think it veers too far from tradition. It pairs very well with the incredibly seasoned chicken. The rice & peas were moist and definitely met the Jamaican standard, and the plantains were a mildly sweet side that rounded out the small plate. I washed it down with a Ting. It tastes very much like someone electrocuted a bottle of Squirt. The entire experience was 10/10.I can see people *possibly* dinging this restaurant for their customer service. Those unfamiliar with the culture may not appreciate brief answers to questions or less than enthusiastic engagement. That being said, they're trying to serve good food, not be your next best friend. The food is the star, and it definitely shines.Give it a try. Prepare for just a little bit of a wait. It is worth it.

Although the food is good, the customer service is terrible Everyone has an attitude when you ask questions, plus they are always out of something when you go there no matter what time it is. If you can't supply it, take it off of the menu!
