Red Star Live

The location had potential, but the food and service were lacking. I think it is more about being a restaurant near the Harley Davidson dealership, and the ability to drink, than to actually eating though.

If zero stars were an option, that's what Red Star Live would have earned today. The service ranked among the top 10 worst we've ever experienced at any restaurant. It took 50 minutes to receive our lunch, and the order was incorrect. After another 20 minutes, we still hadn't received the correct items. We had to flag down our server multiple times and even went to the bar for assistance. Eventually, we gave up and just asked for our check so we could go somewhere we'd actually be served. The saddest part is, that we were one of only two tables in the entire restaurant.

We were here for the first time last month for a Blues Festival and I really enjoyed it, so I was happy to come back when I learned that the first Tuesday of every month is Blues night. Music was supposed to start at 6 so we arrived at 5:10 so we could have some drinks and food before the music started. There was only one other table of 6 when we arrived. The four of us ordered drinks and each couple ordered an appetizer. The drinks arrived quickly since the bar is right outside. We had ordered 6 wings and it took 25 minutes. Our friends ordered a shrimp appetizer and it came out 10 minutes after ours. Good grief!The wings were actually very good. I wanted a Philly Cheesesteak, and asked for no mushrooms, but they couldn't accommodate that. ‍. I settled on a Cowboy Burger which came with fries. 6 pm came and went and still no music and still no food. Finally, at 6:35 the music started and my burger came out, but nobody else's food. I asked the server and she said it would be out shortly. 10 minutes later the other 3 meals came out. My burger was dry and salty, and served on a stale bun. The fries were good. The music was not blues, but just a variety of songs. We only lasted until 7:30 pm. None of the tables had umbrellas on them like last month, so it was roasting hot. Our server was non existent practically the entire time, the music wasn't blues, and there was so much cigarette smoke, none of us were happy. I am so bummed as I really like the venue, but it's doubtful I will return,

I've been wanting to check this place out since Red Star Rock Bar closed in Seminole Heights. It definitely has the same laid back vibes in a much bigger setting. Here's why it's worth a visit:- Interesting location behind the Harley Dealership. It's next to a nice pond and they have a great outdoor space with plenty of seating- Large inside area with lots of tables and bar seating- Room for big parties- Tons of TVs- Live music and good music playing all other times- Simple food menu but everything was good- Strong drinks- Friendly staff- Great prices- Parking is easy- Free Wi-Fi

My wife and I attended the recent Blues Festival at the Red Star and since I did not eat here, my review is somewhat limited.First, I want to tell you how awful the place is and what a horrible experience I had! I want to say this because I would prefer that this gem of a place is kept as secret as possible. The truth is that I absolutely love Red Star. The setting is great! It is very rustic and despite the proximity to Rt 60, it has a country feel to it. There is a wooden plank patio attached to the bar/restaurant that has a covered stage for live entertainment and a small bar that seats about 10. The patio can accommodate about 30 four tops. I did not go inside the restaurant, but did look inside briefly and it looked like a fun space.The festival was very well run and all of the staff were very helpful and friendly.I will definitely return to enjoy the entertainment and have dinner!

Went Saturday night to hear our favorite band, Dirty Little Secret. Band was stellar, staff was super attentive, food was solid, drinks were cold. Weather was as hot as the band! This is a really nice place to hear a band. So tucked away, I've been driving by it for years and never knew it was here. If you haven't been, go check it out!

Good food but they had to adjust the check because they added a extra order. Came here to watch the fight sat & out of 9 tv's only 1 was working correctly smdh.

Just had one of their cheese burgers for lunch. It was delicious! Cooked just as ordered and juicy, as a burger should be! I'm sure you'll find the food as enjoyable as the ambience of this hidden gem! Adding to this review as they have changed their menu recently (6/21/22) Marissa our waitress and bartender was friendly and did a great job meeting our needs. The chips were freshly made and delicious but the salsa was yuck! Too much money at $6 for what it was. We also ordered the Cajun dry rubbed wings, they were just the right spicy, hot and fresh! A must try!

I decided to try here for lunch and got takeout. I ordered the chicken wrap and added bacon. The food comes with really thick crinkle fries. The restaurant seems to primarily be a bar and the meal I ordered was pretty good. The chicken wrap was huge and delicious . The fries were not crispy due to being so thick. The food was the perfect temperature and reasonably priced for the portion.

I love the Harley Davidson theam open air patio with fireplace. We were warmly greeted by each staff member as we made our way to our table.I give my highest recommendation without hesitation
