This place makes THE best sandwiches. I mean c'mon, they've been around since the early 80s. They know how to make a sandwich! You would be hard pressed to get a better Cuban anywhere else. ( see what I did there) " hard pressed " Anyhow ,do yourself a favor and get a Quick Nick's sandwich. Just an awesome place!

So during the day this is a three star joint. A gas station that has the bare essentials and premade sandwiches that they heat up for you from croissant to steak and cheese to Cubans. At night however this is a five star joint since it is open 24 hours a day which Dunedin does not have many of. So if you are a smoker you can get your pack of cigarettes here that you left at the bar or a very hot Cuban that might help in preventing the looming hangover. Add three plus five you get eight divide by two and you have your four stars.

Quick Nick's is a hole in the wall inside the Marathon gas station. I was tipped off to this super secret spot by some Dunedin locals who let me in on a town secret. Legend has it, every night at 3 AM an old Cuban woman comes here to make the day's supply of Cuban sandwiches. And what Cuban Sandwiches they are. They cost just a few dollars and come wrapped in foil. After purchasing, the cash register worker will press the whole foil sandwich wrap in the pannini press, just long enough to crisp the outside and warm the inside until its all alive and bubbling. I was shocked. The sandwich was hot pressed perfection. This is the definition of a hidden gem.

Had a conversation with the owner that left a rather unpleasant taste in my mouth. Suffice it to say that they are ill-tempered and entirely inept at handling customer complaints. Your business would be much more appreciated elsewhere. Trust me, the only thing you are missing out on be passing by this dive is a hassle.

Hey folks, my name is Charlie and I've been working at Quick Nicks for about 6 months now and am taking charge over the whole sandwich making section. I have 5 years of cooking experience in the kitchen at Florida Hospital where I bring extra cleanliness and some structure to Quick Nick's already delicious sandwich program. I plan to use my knowledge to make these the best damn sandwiches you have ever ate! My goal is to keep ALL our sandwiches FRESH and delicious and continue the legacy that has been around since 1983!

The sandwich was big but, was old and soggy.I thought it would have been fresh since it was Saturday at 11 ish but it wasn't. I would not ever go back. It didn't taste like any of the hundreds of Cuban sandwiches I've ever had. If there were no other options I would eat it but, I wouldn't like it.

Quick Nick's has the bare basics as far as groceries. It's a little cramped but they have a great selection of cold bottled beverages and pre-made sandwiches. I've only tried the Cuban which was good and the chicken salad croissant which believe it or not is excellent!.
