I was at a party the other night, & I overheard a guy from Texas singing the praises of the brisket at Southern BBQ. It's tough in Florida to ever find brisket rubbed & smoked & cooked as well as they do in Oklahoma & Texas. But upon his recommendation we tried it. I gotta say it's the real deal. I ordered my brisket to be lean, to which they obliged. The rub & the bark on the meat were perfect, & the flavor was so good that it almost didn't need sauce. But...you gotta try their sauces. They have Carolina, Kansas City Sweet, Hot, & their own concoction titled "TAMPA". The Tampa grew on me. It had an infusion of espresso in it, & I enjoyed it immensely. For a side I got mac & cheese. This mac & cheese was sticky & gooey & oh so good. One caution...Southern BBQ is only open as a restaurant a few days a week, so check before you go.

We felt like BBQ on a Sunday evening and have wanted to try Q Southern BBQ for a while. They are open Fri-Sun. I got the 2 meat combo, pulled pork & brisket with collards and baked beans. My wife got 4 rib bones with slaw and mac & cheese. The meats were perfect with a very good smoke taste and very tender. All four sides were classic BBQ house offerings and complimented the meat perfectly. Each dinner came with a large slice of Texas toast. We tried three of their house sauces, Texas hot, Kansas City sweet, and the Carolina mustard based sauce. All were very good; but, we used them sparingly to let the flavor of the meat come through. The few inside tables were clean and comfortable and the guys working made sure we had everything we needed. When it warms up we will use the outside tables.We will definitely be back on a Friday to try the burnt ends and Saturday for the beef ribs.

Had our Super Bowl family party catered and everything was delicious! We had the party pack for 15 hoping for leftovers.... We had 8 people, and the 4 hungry men were very satisfied! Ribs, pulled Pork, brisket and smoked chicken! Yum!!! Everything was packed up so nicely, and was extremely easy to place out and dig in. Will absolutely order for our next gathering!

Wow. Today was the first time I got the opportunity to get downtown Dunedin and try Southern BBQ! I've seen the menu and the reviews so I had to try the adult American grilled cheese. Holly cow it was amazing. I also got the sample the brisket, and it was so tasty, juicy and tender!!! My kiddos tore up the grilled cheese and tater tots. If you're downtown in Dunedin, and looking for a good bite to eat, that is family friendly, this place is amazing! That staff was amazing!

Good BBQ starts with attention to the meat quality meats the right temperature in cooking the right seasonings attention to detail. This BBQ is amazing now you top it off with a little service and you've got a home run. It's a cool place right in downtown Dunedin that I recommend you stop in and take a look at and enjoy some great BBQ

Indoor and outdoor seating with fire pit outside. Great service and food is delicious. Sangria is very good too. I love the Mahi Mahi but everything is delicious!

It was okay, maybe I got leftovers from the day before since it was just about noon. Slaw was only vinegar based, no mayo. Mac and cheese was the highlight with the Texas toast. Ribs and pulled pork were 5 / 10. Not what I expected.

I loved the brisket sandwich with bourbon baked beans and collard greens. Brisket was tender without falling apart. Great flavor and great sauces to try. The service was excellent and I enjoyed sitting outside dining on a sunny day.

Really hate when a restaurant labeled themselves as "southern" but serves poorly seasoned food . I ordered mac&cheese , backed beans, and collard greens . Out of the three I was only satisfied with the baked beans . The spoonful of collard greens I was served were not thoroughly cooked nor did the amount served equate to being charged $5 for 1 spoonful . An authentic southern restaurant will not serve you crunchy ,blandly season collards . Hate when I try new places and it turns out to be a waste smh . I would've been better off cooking it myself . Lesson learned. Seems as though this places is geared towards those with disabled tastebuds. The Mac and cheese was oddly tasting and overwhelmed with too much cheese . You literally have to find balance to say know how to make Mac&cheese . Otherwise it's just a block of cheese mixed with pasta shells
