Publix Supermarket at Southgate Shopping Center

12.28.24 Publix at Southgate is larger than I've ever seen. It's located in shopping center with Burlington's, TJ Maxx, Big Lots and several other stores. We went to get food for Zeus. Publix is always clean, well stocked, and good prices. Fresh Pet Dog food $16. The check out was quick. We were in and out under 10 minutes. I'd shop here again.

Only issue is prices .I am a very experienced shopper and I like shopping at Publix for a lot of reasons . Place is always clean and workers are helpful . I've been shopping this Publix for more than 20 years and it's the closest to my mom's and daughter's house, so even now when I am visiting- it's still my go to for any grocery needs. Plenty of parking and easy in and out for the store. This store is also one of the larger Publix in the area. It's had a couple of facelifts over the years.The store is always clean, employees courteous and a pleasure to shop at.

This is a nice older Publihx. Unfortunately the deli line is always backed up, But what are you going to do?The variety is good, it has the old layout that I prefer & always seems well stocked. The staff is friendly & the store is clean. They also tend to get backed up at the registers, maybe more help or better scheduling.In the express lane the man in front of me, had a minimum of 50, yes five zero items. I had 6 & had to tap my toes till his order was complete, to avoid being totally rude.What's a good time to shop in Florida, when the snowbirds arrive? If ya have any ideas let me know!

Publix is my choice for grocery shopping bar none. You have -everything- you need in one shop. Bakery, deli and one of the best produce selections around outside of a farmer's market. The staff is always friendly, always asking if you need help and most importantly seem to genuinely like their jobs.

I like this Publix, but there just isn't enough security.To much theft going on in the parking lot...Someone tried to steal my trike this morning. Publix needs more security...

No hand cleaning station at the beginning of pandemic. Pathetic and greedy, Publix ignores health concerns in favor of profit. It really makes me wonder how their employees are cleaning their hands (the butcher, bakery, deli, and produce departments all use hand sanitizer for the employees) so if Publix states that they cannot get hand sanitizer, are these employees still washing their hands? It should be very clear, if you cannot provide a SAFE shopping experience for your customers, you don't open your store. Publix puts profits above their customers. Its not a pleasure, its a pandemic.

The deli workers here are the absolute worst. It's a shame, but most do not appear to be capable of working quickly and or do they seem to care about the customer standing at the counter while they slice prepackaged items for the display case.

The people are nice and polite, the food is mediocre and the prices are outrageous. Today my daughter paid 4.89 a pound for red seedless grapes ,meanwhile, I paid $1.78 for the same red seedless grapes at Walmart. BOGO are good however, they do NOT make up for highway robbery!!!

Notice that this Publix has declined in the last 3 months. They are out of items on a regular basis. If it is advertised sale, you bet they will be out of it and even when there is no sale, they are out of items. The staff are unable to tell you why or when they will get another shipment as well. The Customer Service staff use to ask, can we order the missing items for you but they do not even offer that any longer. The staff has become not helpful as well. Was shopping the last few weeks and the person in the fruits and vegetables pushed me out of their way twice to move fruit around. I am trying to not shop here any longer as much as I can help it. It's sad because it is so close but the other Publix have items on their shelves and service is better.
