Worst deli service ever. I would not recommend anyone to come here for sandwiches, subs, or any other deli related purchase.

Love this store. Convenient and sushi is always fresh. Love the self check out options. Deli gets backed up pretty easy as sub makers can be a little slow, but order ahead online for that.

So I'm a fan of Publix. This particular Publix may not be the absolute greatest Publix in Tampa but it is certainly not the worst. It has all the same deals and a familiar layout, so if you know Publix you will feel comfortable here. The Good: Good selection of craft beer, very important. Recently added AFC Sushi like many other Publix locations. Shelves are always stocked. Easy location to reach if you live in Temple Terrace or a nearby suburb. Clean store. Checkers and baggers are friendly and I have always received good customer service. They seem to be able to keep the lines down to a dull roar. The Things that could Improve: Parking lot is a bit narrow. Nitpicky, I know. Checkers and baggers have a tendency to get into "discussions" while checking you out. Criticizing one's work environment in front of customers or asking the customers personal questions is probably not the best way to build the brand. Deli counter is always, always crowded. Sometimes it is extremely crowded and most of the time you cannot get through there to look at the items in the coolers. I have once or twice been approached by panhandlers in the parking lot or even right outside the main door.Even though there are several drawbacks to this particular location, invariably I still keep choosing Publix over the Winn Dixie across the street. So the goods outweight the negatives for now, hence the 4 star review.

Despite the other reviews I think the employees at this location are friendly and helpful. The bakery employees are especially nice! Maybe this Publix is slowly improving? The shelves are well stocked. Maybe the parking is a little annoying.

This review is about the online ordering service provided. If you are going to online order anything more than just a sandwich, for example a rib dinner for a family of 4, avoid yourself the headache and go personally to the deli. It seems that an online order that big will cause a sensory overload to the person assigned to complete it. God forbid if you complain about the order not being complete by the projected time given. You will then be considered the a$$hole to the eyes of the deli staff

This locations is always a little rough, and not because of the store itself. The first downside is the parking lot. It's cramped, it's awkward, and people seemingly lose the ability to park properly here for whatever reason. The second big downside is the layout - specifically the pharmacy. The pharmacy is RIGHT next to the entrance, and there are displays right in front of it, so the entrance gets super bottlenecked if there's any line at the pharmacy. There's also no signage or ropes to set up a queue, so the line is in a different place every time I visit. The biggest issue is the people that this Publix seems to attract for some reason. I never have problems at the Winn Dixie on the other side of the intersection. The Publix further up 56th is fine. Even the "Sketchy Fletchy" Walmart doesn't give me any issues! But for some reason, almost every time I'm here, someone is causing a scene. Maybe the verbal arguments are justified! I don't know why people are getting into fights with strangers so often, but who knows - maybe there's a good reason! But this only happens at this Publix, and it's always happening! People are just so rude here and it blows my mind every time. People here are rude to other customers and to the staff. I'm not sure what the store can do about any of this, but it's a lot easier to head up to the other location off of 56th and Fowler or just shop at a competitor.

Sad because I adore this Publix. The past 2 times I've ordered a sub through the app, it's not made until I come in and ask them to check on my order.

We're visiting in Tampa, so this was my first - and last - trip to this store. I'm a retired lady who uses an electric cart because I'm limited in my walking. At Publix, I'm accustomed to having the staff watch out for people using the electric carts and offering assistance, both with getting the groceries onto the belt, and loading them back into my cart, before accompanying me to my vehicle. Not here. The cashier barely made eye contact as I approached the register, and couldn't have been less helpful as he rang up my groceries. He turned immediately to the next customer without even asking if I needed help. A customer saw me struggling to get the (heavy) bags into the cart, and came over to help. Not even with a customer doing the work in front of him did the cashier offer any assistance or call anyone else to help. The customer offered to follow me to my vehicle, again something that's been done by staff at every other Publix I've ever been to, but I didn't want to inconvenience her any further, and told her I could manage by myself. The customers were perfectly pleasant, one even offering to help me get something off a high shelf, but a number of employees hurried past with no smile or greeting as I shopped. I expect that from Winn-Dixie or Walmart, which is why I don't shop there. I never expected to find a Publix with such poorly trained, uncaring staff. Today I drove five miles out of my way to go to a different Publix, where I was treated as I'm accustomed to being treated, with courtesy and caring.
