Craving a smash burger and this place is newish and has great reviews. Order at the counter and grab a table. Outside is nice but the Salty Num is very loud. Grabbed the pickle fries. They were tasty but a little over breaded. Then I had a single smash. It had really great grill flavor, fresh fixings and a brioche bun. It was good but it could have been more smashed and the bun could been a bit more toasted. Fries were really good! Debs chicken salad sandwich had great flavors and I am not usually a fan but this one was good. Great sounding sandwiches here. Looking forward to trying other options.

Awesome "burgers" at Proper Meats..the Sticky Pig slow pulled pork, sticky asian sauce, and southern slaw!The BMAC burger...smashed pattie, mac the cheese, queso and bacon sdd in some 3bq Beans and fries and you're set!Great crew and the food was excellent!Some great blues playing on the sound system in the background was a nice touch too!

Last weekend, we decided to check out Proper Meats in St Pete on Central. This is a new sandwich shop on Central. I had previously heard good things about their food trucks, so I was excited to explore their new brick and mortar store. They are located where the old vegan diner was, ironic. They offer a unique selection of funky sandwiches and burgers. We looked over the menu and decided to go with a burger, duck confit sandwich, turkey wrap, and Texas Reuben Stein. We grabbed a seat while we waited for our food.Our food came out quickly and it all looked good. We started with the Texas reubenstein. This was a brisket reuben. The meat had good smoked flavor and the combo worked very well. The BBC burger had a beef patty, brisket, bacon, and queso. It was amazing! Nice smash burger. The turkey avocado wrap was said to be quite tasty. The duck confit sandwich was good, but the burger was our favorite. The mac and cheese was also quite impressive. Overall, we really enjoyed our first visit to Proper Meats. They offered some unique combos and we are already planning on exploring other menu items on our second visit. Solid addition to Central.

It was closed or they're renovating or they moved. Can't say much else . The profile needs updated with a better address on all platforms.

A great spot with quick service! My friends and I stopped by for takeout and loved it! The menu was fun. We ordered the Brisket Grilled Cheese and the BBC burger and got our food within 5 minutes. It was so good. The fries are tasty. There is even a cute outdoor spot in the back for seating. Highly recommend! It's such a welcoming place and they are happy to give you recommendations from the menu! It is also connected to the bakery! Looking forward to coming back!

Best BBQ in St. Pete, friendly service and overall fun , cool spot that took over old key west. Brisket is delicious, perfectly smoked.

A plus food and service. We started with the deep fried pickle spears and they were fantastic with the mayo based sauce the served with it. Also I ordered the BBC smash burger which was smoky and delicious. The pulled pork in it was very tender and burger was cooked perfectly. My wife got the clucker bowl and while she thought it was going to be fried chicken with Mac and cheese, it ended up being pulled chicken. Turned out she loved it just the same though.

We tried the brunch menu and were very happy we did. I had the Brisket Hash and hubby had the Pickleback Smashburger. Every single ingredient was seasoned independently and perfectly. Will definitely circle back to try lunch sandwiches. Friendly service and phenomenal food!

Food was excellent, well prepared, nice varied menu. The surroundings especially the backyard eating space could use a little sprucing up though. A little unpolished, but a nice choice for lunch.
