Table side guac DISCLAIMER: they put cheese in their guac
a person preparing food
The Gods of Guac did not like us. Ordered Abuela's guac and got lettuce and a smidgen of avocado. Tried the Guac this Way. Also terrible.

Poblanos has great low-carb offerings. I opted for the low-carb chimichangas, which were packed with flavor and a satisfying crunch. The filling was delicious, featuring seasoned meat and toped with queso all wrapped in a light, low-carb tortilla. My husband ordered the California burrito, and he couldn't stop raving about it. Generously stuffed with a mix of meats, beans, and cheese, it was hearty and bursting with flavor. The service was attentive, and the ambiance was warm and inviting. Overall, it was a delightful experience, and I appreciated the thoughtful low-carb options. We'll definitely be back!

This was our first time visiting this restaurant. The food was delish and fresh. The waiter was fantastic and even bought out samples of a couple dishes for us to try. I would highly recommend this restaurant , if you're in the mood for good Mexican food. Next time, I want to try the table side guacamole. This will be our go to restaurant for some awesome Mexican food. Thanks!!

My friend and her family are regulars at this Mexican restaurant. I finally got to go with her for lunch. Wow!! I had 3 chicken enchiladas with mole sauce. This is the best mole sauce I've had since moving to Tampa bay!!!!! The enchiladas were freshly made and huge, the chicken was moist. My sides were black beans and rice. It is a large restaurant with a bar, booths, tables and patio seating (covered). The chairs are so comfy.Wait staff is attentive and friendly. The restroom is clean. There is ample parking out front. The are combos and all the dishes I saw were huge. Robin

Holy, (where's the...) guacamole!!??We attempted to visit this restaurant earlier in the week but there was a 20+ minute plus wait - and we don't wait, but being that we had never been here before, we considered this a sign that the food MUST be amazing. We returned a few days later during the middle of the day which was a lot less crowded. We opted to sit at the bar.It took awhile for us to be acknowledged even though they weren't busy (to be fair, for me, when I am craving a marg, a minute can feel like years...).We ordered 2 frozen margs and Abuela's Guacamole to start. The margs were your average frozen marg, nothing super special but not terrible - we ended up ordering 2. But the guac? After just a few chips, I realized....I hadn't had any actual guacamole. In my mind, I was accusing my wife of being a selfish glutton and maybe she had eaten all of the guacamole (avocado). As I am moving the mound of lettuce around in the bowl in search of the avocado, I am asking my wife what happened to all of it? She thought I ate all of it and only had one little corner of a chip's worth of avocado...Realizing that we literally had a bowl of shredded lettuce, I started laughing hysterically. I called the bartender over and showed her the bowl of lettuce. She tried to say that all we get is "2 scoops" of avocado. UM....the menu says one full avocado and for $8.69, we expected a lot more than just a chip's corner's worth...which wasn't even 2 scoops. She provide no apology or anything even after showing her the bowl of lettuce. She offered to take it away and I said under no circumstances as I had planned on eating my bowl of $8.69 lettuce. We decided to order the Guac this Way for $12.99 which was table side made guac. Remember...we were craving guac, so.....we were going to get it. Same bartender...pulls up with the cart and all the fixins'. At least this time, we got to see that it was 2 avocados. We asked for all the items (jalapeno, salt, pepper, garlic, tomato, etc.) We ended up with mashed up avocado that was overly seasoned with garlic with some chunks of tomato. I guess once we saw that she had mashed up 2 avocados, we stopped paying attention and didn't see that she didn't include anything else. We ordered food - which were good sizes but not really worth providing a review on, since after all - I am still recuperating from the bad avocado experience. To add salt to injury (but not the guac) - we were charged for the "Abuela's Guac". Seriously. It was a bowl of shredded lettuce.

Food is usually OK, but had the worst burritos tonight. Both my daughter had $17 steak burritos that were nothing but rice in a tortilla covered in green sauce. The waiter said sorry. We won't be going back

After church lunch with family. I was in the mood for Mexican and everyone agreed. Just around the corner from church and ample parking. We were seated right away. The first pleasant surprise was the chairs. These were heavy wooden chairs with padded seats and several had arms. It felt like sitting on a throne! Bring on the dragons!!My wife went for the Football, umm Burrito Grande with shredded beef. It was huge! My daughter ordered the Baja Salad with chicken in a taco shell bowl. Granddaughter got a Quesadilla and fries. My other daughter was just going to share, so I chose a combination of two Tostados, a Tamale and beans. Oh we also got Queso Blanco dip. I asked for, and received, hot Salsa. It was good but now I guess they charge $2 for it now.Fresh hot chips and Salsa with the Queso was great and refilled twice since the meals were a bit in coming. While waiting I walkedelicious around and took pics. One pic by the restrooms was the TACO Wall of Fame, with portrait pics and numbers like 20, 23, 30. I asked how many visits it took them and was told that's how many they ate in ONE sitting! 30! Wow.Food came, hot and delicious. But I ordered two Tostados and only one came, so Gabby went to get another. My wife praised the Burrito, which she shared about a third. Granddaughter like the Quesadilla but ate slowly, probably due to emptying 2 bowls of chips and dip! My daughter loved her Bowl and I made a mental note to try it next time. My Tamala was ok, I just prefer equal parts filling and mesa but this was more 2/3 mesa. My Tostado was very good. So loaded with things I had to eat it with a knife and fork. The second Tostado was crisp and shared. My other daughter was happy, she got to try it all.Great food, nice portions for the price and good service. The not to pleasant surprise was instead of being charged $15.19 for a 3 Combo, I was charged $13.89 for the 2 Combo plus $4.50 for an ala carte Tostado. I brought it to Gabby's attention and she got it corrected. If you like Tex Mex, this is for you.

Very average food, very much Americanized. Service was good... waiter was attentive.Had a happy hour Margarita... very inexpensive but also very little tequila, mostly just very sweet margarita mix (did not taste like it was hand mixed, more like the stuff you can get at Costco). But hey, it was cheap! $3.50, I think?Ordered Yolanda's enchiladas. Forgot to take a picture... but looked decent. Chicken was chicken, it was ok... sauce was not memorable, not much flavor... no heat at all. I started to ask for some hot sauce just to flavor it up a bit.Spanish rice was a little mushy, and tasted like rice with picante sauce added. It was ok... about what I expect from Americanized Mexican food restaurants. But I probably won't go back... there is much better, much closer. Average... as in OK... so three stars, and that is only due to the service.

Went for a late dinner at 8:00. Average food. Burrito was good. Tostado was ok. Ground beef was overcooked. Service was quick and friendly. Last time I was there it was better.

Like this place a lot- usually go several times a month. Food is consistent - fair pricing. Chips are amazing - but also is not my favorite. Wish they had options for salsa.
