Plaza Mexico Restaurant Bar and Grill

This has quickly become one of my go-to restaurants! The atmosphere is wonderful, and after visiting several times, I can confidently say I'll be back. The staff is warm and friendly, adding to the authentic experience. One of my favorite aspects is the guacamole cart--I'm a big fan of fresh guacamole, and this personal touch is a great addition.The service is always excellent, and I've never had any issues. While I typically come with a small group, the food is always served hot and delicious. My favorite dish is the El Nuevo Plaza Mexico, and I highly recommend asking for a side of their house hot sauce it's incredibly flavorful and perfect for anyone who enjoys authentic Mexican flavors. My husband has tried a variety of dishes, but his go-to is the chimichanga, which he says is one of the best he's ever had. Even our little one loved his quesadilla and fries, with enough leftovers for later such a great value!My mom ordered the carne asada fajitas and, as a picky eater, was impressed by how flavorful the carne asada was. The elotes were just okay for me, as I preferred the chips, salsa, and guacamole.The drink menu is full of tempting choices. My husband tried the Jolly Rancher margarita and loved it, while I had the cucumber mojito, which was so refreshing that I still think about it! For dessert, my husband enjoyed the tres leches cake, which is his favorite, while I couldn't resist trying a dessert that combined chocolate and flan it was delicious, though the tres leches was the standout for me.Overall, we had a fantastic experience and will definitely be coming back!

We had the BEST experience at this restaurant! Food was amazing, service was wonderful. Our waitress Yibiana was so friendly and attentive. Would recommend this place to everyone!

Good food, fun ambiance and excellent customer service. Chicken enchilada is good, so is guacamole. The only place nearby to us that still has black beans.

We were craving Mexican food, so we decided to visit Plaza Mexico Restaurant for dinner.It was Friday night, so we had to wait 10-15 minutes before being seated. The decor and ambiance of the restaurant were beautiful, and it seemed like the servers were enjoying themselves.One unique feature of the restaurant is how they celebrate birthdays, with servers singing "Happy Birthday" and everyone in the restaurant clapping along.From the menu, we started with Margaritas and fresh tableside guacamole along with chips and salsa. The guacamole is freshly prepared right in front of you, adding to the experience.The Margaritas, combined with the fresh guacamole, chips, and salsa, made for the perfect start to our dinner.For dinner, we ordered Tacos, Burrito Chipotle, and Pollo Ranchero. The service was efficient, and our order arrived promptly.The meal was delicious. Everything was freshly prepared, tasty, and fulfilled our cravings for Mexican food. We loved our dinner at Plaza Mexico Restaurant.

This is the best Mexican food around. Service is always quick and ambiance is inviting. Everything we tried was outstanding. The only thing I felt was missing something was the corn. They offer table side fresh guacamole which is so good. Trust it may look like a whole in the wall from outside but the food is amazing. The alcoholic beverages have a kick too.

Ok - I had did not have high hopes...IDGAF if it's Pasco Cty in ZHills. I cut my teeth on Mexican - authentic and tasty & require it when I opt for Mexican food. Service great at the bar, drinks are not pinchy, House Margie was HUGE and fully loaded. Julian is a hip and friendly barman. Patrons are friends and family celebrating life. Awesome vibes and disco pants and haircut lights set a mood.Food: I ordered fajitas - didn't blow me away tbh. Carne Asada beef it wasn't and I knew it wouldn't be. However, the seasoned beef strips felt like something a white midwestern mom would serve to 'mix it up' for dinner time. BUT - had a tasty taco in a previous visit so I know the menu has legs. I'll be going again. Make your way or make sure you check it out!

This is our favorite Mexican place in the area! Cute decor, friendly service and great tasting food. We ordered the Tableside guacamole and were very happy with it. Margaritas are good and also enjoyed their basic salsa with chips as well as their hot salsa. Everyone enjoyed their food. Only thing that could have provided 5 stars would be to have our waitress check on us more often. It was not a busy night and we had to hunt her down a few times for more chips and to order more drinks. This is also apparently a place to go for birthdays as they blare music super loud and walk through restaurant with lights and singing to the birthday customers. Will definitely be back.

I've been to Spanish restaurants in Spain, Mexican Pride authentic restaurants, and Mexican restaurants through the USA, and when I go a restaurant saying it's an authentic Mexican restaurant, I know what to expect. The ambiance was more modern than expected for authentic. The main food (not the Spanish rice) had a fair flavor but was poorly displayed. It looks like a hot mess. The Spanish rice was flavorless. I reported this to my server, and he said he would inform the cooks. The staff was definitely bilingual however they have forgotten what their heritage was. Taco Bell, you have nothing to worry about here.

What a fun atmosphere! The service was fantastic, and they were so friendly!! The food was amazing. This is my new favorite Mexican restaurant!!! The guacamole they bring out a cart and make it right in front of you and it's probably the best guacamole I've ever had!!!

Not going to lie, everyone is spot on with their rating of the guacamole. Definitely a must get when coming here. I had the Carne Asada lunch meal and the steak was cooked perfectly. The service is fast and friendly. This is probably one of my favorite Mexican restaurants and will be coming back for dinner soon!
