I love family own places to eat. The food so far has been very good. I have brought coworkers and family to eat here all at lunch time and the atmosphere has been refreshing. I've had the half Cuban with plantains, and I've had the Philly. Both were amazing thanks to the chefs. The kitchen and its guys are always clean, trust me you guys get noticed and it makes a difference to a guest to know the food we consume is safe to eat. Server staff you are very sweet and helpful the girls are always busy making sure the dinning area stays neat and tables cleaned. LOVE the outside seating we have had some beautiful days and to get out of the office and sit in some fresh air is wonderful. Please keep up the good work

*Updated 9/9/16: I am so disappointed and my heart feels sad to find out today that Vinny is not there anymore. The service was bad and the food was worse. The girl in the front did not know what was going on or who is in charge. She seemed clueless. There were no customers in the restaurant and now I see why. It is just not the same without Vinny. He had the best customer service, personality and cooking skills. Will not return again until they get better management or owners. Yummmmm! I am so happy I found this cafe in Plant City. I have been using their catering for office lunches. Everyone has been pleased. Good customer service here. Variety of menu choices from wings to Greek salads to Black beans, yellow rice and pork. They even have a chicken Parmesan sub. Their Cuban sandwiches are delicious and their salad is very nicely presented. I look forward to trying something different from their menu each time I go. If they sold cafe con leche and Cuban toast they would get a 5 from this girl!

I stopped in for a quick lunch. Saw great reviews and wanted the same experience. I Ordered a side salad and pasta with meatballs. The staff was friendly and most helpful. Salad was fresh and dressing tasted home made; it was very good. I saw enough seating for ten separate families/ couples. No visible high chairs.I heard from the staff they deliver. I gave 3/5 stars for the following reasons. Pasta and meatballs very bland.Waited excessive time for food.Restaurant was hot, I was pouring sweat.Flies landing on my food and drink. All of the things I experienced can be fixed and am willing to try it again. I really wish I could have given it a better review

Finally Plant City has an excellent choice for some Cuban food. We tried the Plant City Cafe this evening for dinner. The two of us split a Greek salad...very good salad and Greek dressing and large enough for two to share. We both had entrees, I had the Palomilla Steak with yellow rice, black beans(fresh chopped onions), and an extra side of plantains. My wife had the ropa vieja, with yellow rice and plantains. Very very good! Portions were very good as well. Good fresh brewed ice tea. Service was also excellent and very attentive! The cook came out and inquired as to how our meal was. He was also very polite and friendly. It also sounds as if the Plant City Cafe has a wonderful lunch offering a cafeteria style lunch menu. In addition, their sandwich menu is something I look forward to trying.Prices are very reasonable and we will be returning! Thanks for an excellent very casual dining experience!

Went to this place about a year ago and fell in love. Vinny was great! We went several times off and on over the past year but the quality and service seemed to decline tremendously. Just read that Vinny is no longer there. Heartbreaking :-( My husband tried to order a Cuban there but no one answered the phone. He drove by and saw a sign on the door. Not sure what it said but I'm sure it can't be good. Is the PC Cafe done??? :-(

Should've known something was wrong when we walked in. It was a Saturday eve about 5:30 and we were the only people in the place. The waitress was attentive but seemed in a big hurry for someone who had no other customers. She continually referred to me as 'hon' and my husband as 'baby'. I know she means well but it's a bad habit she seriously needs to break. The food came out pretty quickly which had me a tad worried that it wasn't fresh. The Caesar salad was iceberg, croutons a slice of tomato and a Caesar-like dressing on the side. Fake parm on top. Blah. Boring. Something an inexperienced person might make at home. Not even close to a Caesar. The entrees: Mojo pork with yellow rice and black beans. No flavor. Seriously, this should be garlicky and packed with herbs. Nada! The beans were OK for flavor but everything needed salt desperately... and even still, bleck. My husbands chicken parm was fried within an inch of its life. Burned around the edges! The marinara was super dark. Weird. Either really old or from a can. My husband loves to eat just about anything and he had nothing to say during dinner ( he's usually super happy and complimentary). I feel bad because I could tell they really wanted us to come back. I hope they can reinvent themselves because if this is what people remember they aren't coming back.

Not impressed. Cubans are TERRIBLE... No cheese on my cuban... Definitely wasn't pressed. Very plain and simple. Never asked for extra pickles but they put them on there anyways... WILL NEVER ORDER THIS TERRIBLE FOOD AGAIN!!!! Ordered on the "Yelp EAT24" because where I work, there aren't many options for delivery.

I got there in the afternoon about 2:30pm. There was hardly anyone in the restaurant 2 people eating. We waited for quite a bit before being waited on. Now don't get me wrong the people there are super friendly and nice. We finally get our menus qe look it over. Its two menus in the same big menu, both exactly the same except the prices lunch and dinner. I not really sure which to look at. I ordered a water tasted like chlorine. I know its not filtered. I got the Greek gyro salad. It was nice looking crisp. The gyro meat about six pieces were the thin rolled up lunch meat like meat the Tzatziki sauce was just sour cream no cucumbers in it. I really love Greek food, i was greatly disappointed. Also tried the cuban sandwich. I tasted very much like Blimpy's Italian sub. Perhaps their other dishes are good i just don't know. Most likely i will not return. If you go and try their food please write a review. These folks are super friendly. I just don't want to be disappointed a second time. They say they do catering.

So glad this place opened and we found it. Been there a few times now and ordered take out. The best black beans I have ever had. Wonderful service to. Nothing beats a small restaurant were the owners and staff truly care about playing their customers.
