Pineapple Jacks Dunedin

We were in town for a softball tournament and they accommodated our large party. The food was great and the service was exceptional. Would definitely recommend to anyone!

Came for dinner one night. Made it in time for happy hour. It's 2 for 1 on bar drinks but only a buck off the wine. Kinda sucks but I guess every dollar helps. We started with the conch fritters and deep fried clams. Pretty good but the fritters could have been cooked a bit more. The inside was a little questionable. I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich. Wow, that was really grilled. Like burnt marks all over it. It was just ok. My husband and a friend both ordered the 1/2 rack of ribs. They loved them but said there was no way they could eat all of that. Meat was falling off the bone. They had a side of fries and that yummy pineapple coleslaw. The place was freezing! Asked the waitress if she could turn the air up a bit. She said she would ask. It never changed. Not sure why they want the place that cold but bring a sweater.I'm not sure if we'll ever go back but glad I finally got to check it out.

Service and the food were fantastic. However, when I left a 20% tip in CASH because I didn't have enough cash on me to pay both the check and tip... (I paid the check on my card, tip was in cash in hopes the server would be able to receive it same day) please do not EVER EVER EVER add my cash tip to the check in addition to the cash I left and noted on the receipt!!! Like seriously? I work super hard to be able to provide for my children and take them out when I can. Even with the 4% discount this makes zero sense if I was able to pay all of it in cash. I will never be back and will be sure to notify my "circle" of the shady nonsense happening at this establishment.

Disclaimer- this is a review about the happy hour and service. 2 for 1 on most things is def a steal. Very small space tucked away outside of DT dunedin. Very grateful for the staff who took our large "picky" group 15 minutes to close to serve us birthday drinks. Outside of the disclaimer, the food that came by during HH looked great and will be back as we've been referred by several people about the food! Go there! They deserve of the love! Friendly staff that'll leave you smiling!

I was so excited to be visiting the area again to be able to return to Pineapple Jacks. To my thrill, Lauren, our wonderful original waitress was working lunchtime. The food was as good if not better than our last visit. I, of course had my fried clam strips... hubby had the coconut chicken basket; fresh and yummy and our son in law thoroughly enjoyed his grilled salmon. Until next time!

Grabbed dinner on a quiet Sunday night. Our fabulous server, Lauren, came right over to get our drink orders. We decided on the Pineapple Margaritas (sans the rim). It was a tasty punch of pineapple (something to get used to if you come here!) and was in a tall glass-very tasty. For dinner I got PJ's Burger. It was a sloppy mess of deliciousness. It's a juicy burger with pineapple, zingy sauce, lettuce, and tomato. I subbed out the kettle chips for a huge bowl of black beans and rice for $2, that had chunks of red onion. It would have been a tasty meal by itself! My wife got the grilled salmon. Nice piece of fish, and well cooked, but a pretty basic salmon; fresh broccoli and a mound of rice. Superb service, very reasonable prices, and very good food (pineapple in *almost* everything ;-))Inside has bar seating, high tops, tables, and booths. We didn't check out the patio, but there is one.

Stopped to have lunch because of the yelp reviews and we were not disappointed! The stuffed pineapple with marinated steak,grilled shrimp and coconut rice was delicious, even the broccoli was good! :) My friend had the blackened grouper sandwich special and really liked it! We tried the steamed pot sticks as an appetizer and they were tasty as well, they had a little spicy kick to them but not overly spicy! It was really slow for a Saturday afternoon,our waitress was friendly and our food didn't take too long to come to our table. The place was really clean and quiet! We brought the pineapple upside dessert home and wish we had bought a second one- it was Amazing!!! Will definitely return!

My husband and I came here on a whim and were very happy. We were seated immediately our orders taken quickly. We ordered salads and the caramel fried chicken salad was fantastic! I ordered the pins colada salad dressing which is the way to go! The interior of the place was clean, had an open air bar, big screen TVs and great music. Give this hidden gem a try!

My favorite for sure. Great food, great service. A friendly pleasant place. Some of the menu choices are not the usual fare found everywhere else. I've tried many..the crusted triple tail-so good. The spinach artichoke lemon pasta is my favorite,I rarely order pasta anywhere, am I glad I did. So very good. We have never been disappointed with any of our choices. ALSO..don't miss the Fish Dip...

Food was good service and atmosphere were better than average. I give it 4 stars.Bueno.CR
