Pibb's Rib Shack

My son's and I were looking for a place to get some good barbecue after visiting the barbershop and we came across Pibb's Rib Shack. I knew the food was going to be good after smelling the meat cooking over the wood on our way to the order window.The food did not disappoint, it was deliciously seasoned, smoked to perfection and reasonably priced. We will definitely be eating there again real soon. If you happen to stop by tell them you want the President's special, that'll probably make the pit masters day!

Wow! Go early in the day if you want something specific! They sell out fast because their food is delicious! We ordered the family brisket meal. Comes with two sides. We added green beans and coleslaw. The brisket was delicious! Moist and tender. They have barbecue sauces right by the register. We grabbed one of each, spicy, regular, and sweet. We also ordered a second family meal of sausage with fries and baked beans. We arrived on a Saturday near closing time, and these were the options left. I am happy we had an opportunity to try their other options because it was all good. More incentive to come back for more! Would recommend!

Had the pleasure of trying Pibb's for the first time this weekend. Called to place an order about an hour ahead. They were out of the Collard Greens, but I will be back to give those a try. I got the 2 meat dinner, which comes with two sides. I chose the Mac and cheese and green beans. Both were solid choices and accompanied the meats well. If you are only going to try one thing from Pibb's, you absolutely MUST get the Brisket. I've never in my life had brisket (or anything for that matter) melt in my mouth like the brisket did. AMAZING! I also tried both their regular and mustard barbecue sauces. The Mustard BBQ sauce was delicious. I look forward to trying the spicy bbq on the next visit.

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food on such a rainy day when I went. I will be going back to gather a better review and pics of the food.

I'm not the biggest fan of bbq food, but Pibb's Rib Shack was impressive. Placed my order over the phone, and the food was ready for pickup 15-20 minutes later. I ordered a rib meal, with beans and potato salad as my sides. I really enjoyed the baked beans and the potato salad was good, although I enjoy a little more texture (crunch) in my potato salad.The ribs portion was huge, although a little fatty for my taste, the meat itself was tender and flavorful, and I could tell a lot of love and patience went into its preparation. If you're a lover of all things bbq, you really should check them out! Great, friendly service, and they don't skimp on their portion sizes.

Pibb's Rib Shack was darn good bbq. This food truck was posted up outside my apartment complex one evening during our scheduled food truck night.Pibb's had a decent amount of options to choose from, including sandwiches and dinner meals. They offered chicken, beef, ribs, pulled pork, meatloaf, sausage, brisket. Pretty much anything you could want.I went with a two meat meal. I always like be able to try a variety and at only $13 for the two meat meal with 2 sides, it was a great deal. I ordered the pulled pork and the brisket. For my sides, mac and cheese and collard greens.The meal was hefty and large portioned. The two meats were topped with my choice of sauce, sweet bbq. The pulled pork was top quality, not fatty, juicy and packed with flavor. With the sauce on it, it was awesome. The brisket was also fantastic. The long, thin strips of meat had that slight char on the edges, juicy and flavorful.The mac and cheese was creamy, baked and super good. The collard greens had great flavor as well. Everything was standout and I'd definitely eat here again. Top quality bbq.

I've passed by this place a couple of times and I finally got the chance to stop by and I just want to say the customer service was amazing. Very friendly people and I just know everything is made fresh and the meat is marinated, it really has a really nice flavor and is cooked perfect. The side dishes could have been better but my partner is in love with the potato salad she's been talking about it for a week. I just didn't like the Mac and cheese or the baked beans. But this is a place you should try if you ever want some really good BBQ. You'll be served fast so don't worry about waiting forever to get your food.

Picked up dinner on a Friday night. Order rib tips, whiting fish & chicken. We are new to Tampa and the hubby is particularly funny about pick up & BBQ. The service was nice & helpful. The sides were mac & cheese, greens & baked beans. Dinner was tasty.... Didn't think to take pictures, maybe next time. Will try them again maybe the rack of ribs & catfish.

I purchased 2lbs pulled pork, went home divided into four 8 ounces serving only to find out I was shorted 6 ounces. At $16 a pound, I lost $6.

Delish! The ribs didn't fall off the bone, but still smoky good. A bit tough. Generous portions of sides .. love this place! Will def go back!Great family.. if you haven't tried this BBQ, you are missing out!
