Phoenicia Mediterranean Market

i absolutely love this tiny little market in saint Petersburg that i wanted to keep secret and not tell anyone. but no i cant do that. Monday i sneak out of work nearby to this market for pickled turnips and i found lebanon downtown and oh what a surprise. i found meat, cheese and spinach pies that are to die for.well the owner is from dearborn heights so you dont get more authentic. what a great service he does. Well its,arabic night at my house thanks to this store. The first picture is from the pies i bought and theyre amazing.Friday is bread delivery day so we go back and buy marinade from syria for the chicken kebabs on the barbie.second picture is the amazing food from the market. Trust me stop in say hi and grab 2 pies you will be hooked.enjoy.

I stumbled upon the Phoenicia Market this afternoon. I'm delighted to say that I'll be coming back. The owner is absolutely fabulous. I tried a fresh made spinach pie and it was glorious. I was looking for haloumi cheese which you cannot find anywhere in the Tampa area. Not only did they have it in stock it was at a very rational price. I also bought some fresh made hummus. It also is completely delicious. The prices are great, the food is delicious and the service was outstanding. I can't wait to come back for some fresh falafel.

Great little market with a nice man working there. I got some freshly made falafel and a delicious meat pie. Picked up a few boxes of unique candy. Gonna come back here with my husband someday soon. Yum!

Found this place via Yelp. what a find! Love the pita bread and baba. The owner is super nice will help you with what you want. We five quiet a way to get his food...great prices...
