The Pho Truck has been visiting our apartment complex lately so I have now had the chance to grab dinner from them on three separate occasions. I always enjoy talking to the owner. He is very friendly and seems very passionate about Vietnamese cuisine. My favorite items on the menu are the fried dumplings and Bún Tht Nng (Vietnamese Grilled Pork & Vermicelli Rice Noodles). The dumplings are hands-down some of the best dumplings I have had in Tampa. I always regret not ordering a second order of the dumplings. The grilled pork in the Bún Tht Nng has tons of flavor and this is one of the most filling dishes on the menu since it includes a fried egg roll. This dish is a steal at less than $9!The Pho isn't my favorite because it doesn't include all of the garnishes that you usually receive in a sit-down restaurant. My husband and I have tried the beef and the chicken pho and we both agree that the beef pho is the more flavorful of the two.I like that the Pho Truck offers something other than burgers and fries so I will continue to order food from this food truck when they are in the vicinity.

Mobile food truck most is some quick and easy assembling. But I have not seen a pho truck before. This is my first. During the Generation Food truck event for the Taste of Asia the Pho Truck was there. I have a chance to try their pho. Their pho is bit different than other Vietnamese restaurant pho. It is a bit lighter and more into cilantro taste. The price charge is typical Vietnamese restaurant pricing. It is good to have good bowl when they close to your work or venue. I have tried their sandwich with grilled pork, vermicelli with grilled pork and egg roll, and fresh roll. They are average. You walk to the back of the truck to see what the actions in the kitchen are. They are bunch of hard working people, two assembling food and one take order and deliver food. I would order the pho again if I see them. The line of the event for this truck is loooong. Good business when you see the line long. After talking to my wife. I feel the pricing is in the high side.

The new Pho Truck - Tampa Bay sells delicious Vietnamese cuisine at the right price. You'll find pho, banh mi, and other dishes on their menu. They just recently opened so be a little patient with them as they get used to being food truckers. Their hospitality is great and you can tell the owners really love cooking their food.I loved the Pho ($8) served with beef and meatballs as well as the banh mi ($5). Both could compete with what you'll find in many of Tampa's best Vietnamese restaurants. With the popularity of Vietnamese food in Tampa, it is a little surprising that this food truck just opened - it is certainly welcome in this city.Even the chicken wings were delicious. It is all good :) I highly recommend going and giving them a try sometime - you can check their Facebook for updates on their location or give them a call.

I walked outside my office yesterday and the first thing I smelled was the aroma of pho. I can sniff out pho anywhere! I ventured outside and saw that the Pho Truck was there that day serving "Healthy Vietnamese Food". At first I was hesitant about getting pho from a food truck but my packed lunch wasn't appealing to me to I headed over with my debit card in hand. The menu is not too long and had about 5 mains and 2 apps, plus 4 drink options. My first impression was that the people were really friendly and passionate about their food. I ordered the pho (beef and meatball noodle soup) and the Vietnamese bread with grilled pork aka banh mi. I asked for extra butter/mayo with my banh mi but they said that they do not put mayo on their banh mi. I was a little disappointed by the man in the truck said that their version doesn't need mayo, it's that good. I took their word for it. My total was $13 = $8 for pho which is pretty standard and $5 for banh mi which is overpriced in my opinion since it's usually around $3-4 elsewhere. The food came out quick and hot. I opened the pho container first. The container was actually larger than I initially thought and was filling. The veggies (basil, cilantro, mint, bean sprouts, etc.) were already in the broth. I could tell that that truck caters to a more Americanized diet since there was only beef and meatballs. I do miss the random pieces of tendon and such with pho dac biet. However, the broth was very fresh and flavorful, might actually taste better than some of the pho places around the USF area. It has a more light flavor (not saying that there wasn't a lot of flavor to the broth). I mean that it wasn't like a heavy broth. The noodles were done right and were a good amount. Overall, the pho was good and will sate your appetite for pho on the go. The lady also gave me two containers of hoisin and sriracha that I used to dip my beef slices. On to the banh mi - first thing I notice was how small the sandwich was. Although the bread looked fresh and was the perfect kind of crispy, it was definitely a lot shorter than usual banh mi's. It might have been 6 inches (not sure exact measurement). It was loaded with the usual accompaniments - pickled radishes and daikon, cucumber, and cilantro. The meat was grilled pork in a sauce. Usually the grilled pork in banh mi aren't too wet but this version had extra sauce which I liked (although I still wanted mayo!). For $5, I probably won't order this again purely because of the size. I think that I would actually try out this food truck again if it's in the area. I definitely want to try their vermicelli and fried chicken wings! Like Nick S. said, it is good for a fix.

Solid quick Vietnamese food. Had it at the Cigar City Brewery, went really well with some cold brews sitting outside.

It was good. The pho broth had a nice flavor. But no Thai Basil or sprouts to mix in. And the sandwiches are a lil pricier than my usual places. Fresh roll too. But it's good for a fix.

Craving some Thai, and on a recommendation from a friend, I showed up at Generation Food Court to sample the only permanent resident food truck there--Tongue Thai'd.... I was deeply disappointed in the extremely limited and unhealthy menus and Tongue Thaid's recently paroled help that was more interested in smoking right in front of the truck than they were in servicing customers. Thankfully the PHO TRUCK was set up just outside the circle of cigarette smoke. And wow, the food and service and were top notch...! The fresh rolls were fantastic. The Broken Rice Grilled Pork and egg were good. But their Beef Pho was arguably the best pho I have ever eaten (and I have eaten a lot of pho all over the world)....

I was a little iffy on trying Pho from a food truck but OMG am I glad I did! I eat Pho all the time ( several times a week) at Ha Long Bay or Pho Quyen or Mekong. This Pho was just as delicious and piping hot as if I were sitting in the restaurant enjoying it. ENJOY!!

The food is delicious! I ordered the chicken fried rice, a pork plate for my friend and a Thai tea. The truck stopped at Bowery Bayside Apartments. The portions were good, the food was really flavorful and the prices are reasonable.

I was very happy that Pho Truck stopped by my office park last week. The aroma emanating from the truck was very enticing. I ordered the bun ga nuong - vermicelli with chicken, which came with a fried spring roll. Healthy serving size, plenty of tasty chicken, plenty of herbs and veggies. A lot of mint which was fine with me. Fair prices. Smiley service. I really hope they come back soon!
