PDQ Test Kitchen

This was my first time visiting this test kitchen with my co workers and my last. The cashier rushed every customer to recite their orders in her attempt to stay efficient. She yelled "Next Customer! Next!" to get the line down like she was in a race. I witnessed my normally calm co worker become flustered when she rushed him along asking "spicy or regular spicy or regular spicy or regular?!" even making the "hurry up" gesture with her hands. To add insult to injury, the fries were dry and hard. The tenders didn't seem fresh just hot. The only thing I enjoyed was the Christmas music and the free refills at the touch screen soda machine.

If you work or live in the area this is a must try. It is conveniently located in an office building. Parking is no issue. I had the standard 3 piece spicy chicken strip meal and actually enjoyed the spicy flavor which paired well with my favorite honey mustard dipping sauce. You can eat in the kitchen area or outside in the lobby of the office building. The lobby is actually a nice area so consider eating out there. It wasn't really busy so there was no wait to place my order. The lady behind the register was friendly and nice.

Life is busy and if I can get in a quick bite without sacrificing quality and good customer service then I'm sold. This place is it! This place is my fast food dreams come true!I've been here at least 4 times in the past couple of weeks and I devour every dish I get. Their bowls and salads are packed with protein and so much veggie goodness. The flavor profiles of each unique dish is never lacking! Once, I literally had to force myself to stop eating while chomping on the Freekish salad because it was so delicious. My stomach said, "stop eating girl, you're full!", but my tastebuds were saying "don't stop til' you get enough!!" This place man I tell ya!! It does something to me. I don't have one fav. dish here...I have three! I recommend the Korean BBQ Bowl, the Freekish Salad, and the Tuscany Bowl. The fact that they rotate their "specials" keeps things interesting and very tasty! They also have superb customer service. I am one satisfied lady and I will continue to come back for more!

Ok..update..... good french fries are gone..... back to greasy regular stuff as is the amazing hummus.....so basically, enjoy your fried chicken everything! This place offers very little as far as healthy or small... their salads have giant cubes of processed chicken in it... and then you're left with a thin "pizza" and a burger option. Nothing to grab and go that doesn't grow your gut or behind.

I really need to give credit where credit is due. PDQ does cate to make things right. And it is remarkable how well they keep up with the lunch crowd. Today was a special they have had for a few weeks, chicken Parmesan pizza. And is one you have to add to your "must try" list.And, since my last review I can say the burgers are much more presentable.

Ordered the Tampa hot bowl and charcoal lemonade! It was so good and so unique. I love the combination of flavors used. I'm definitely ordering again!!

Similar to a PDQ with their classic chicken tenders on the menu, but also has "new" items, hence the Test part of the name of the restaurant. I tried the queso bowl. It needs more cheese, but other than that, it's a good size and filling for one. Fritos, white rice, black beans, a chopped up tender, grilled corn, queso, tomatoes and some green onions on top.

First time ordering a pizza (Chicken Bacon Ranch) from PDQ. I'm not a cheese fan so I should have asked for light cheese (I just put extra ranch on it to drown out the cheese favor). Overall, the pizza was loaded with cheese, lists of chicken and bacon! Not as much ranch but that's okay since they have extra in the condiments areas. Not sure if I would order it again (too much cheese for me) Note: When going during lunch hour beware the line will be long (12:00-12:30), be prepared to wait. However, they do move fast.

Disclaimer: My company provides me with a daily stipend for lunch, and the test kitchen is one of the places that I can use it.I'd never eaten at PDQ before starting with my current company. There wasn't any reason as to why I'd never eaten there, I guess I just didn't know that much about them. After starting with my company I quickly became a regular of the test kitchen, and now I look for PDQ standalone locations out in the wild while I'm roaming around.The test kitchen doesn't carry the full PDQ menu, but they also have some things that the other PDQ locations don't have. The buffalo chicken pizza is one of the best things I have ever tasted on God's green earth and I can't get enough of it. As I'm writing this review, I'm salivating thinking about it. Additionally, their salads and rice bowls are really generous portion wise and are satisfying lunch options. Do note though that during the lunch rush the line can get incredibly long. To the credit of the staff, it does move quickly, you just need to be a little patient. As other reviewers have stated, this location is in an office park, in a nondescript office building. Just park out front and walk into the lobby. Head to the left and you'll see it.Consider the test kichen as a beta testing food. You get to try unique things that aren't anywhere else, and by doing that you're helping a local company to do what they do best, make delicious food.
