As much as I hoped to give this golf course a better review, the service experienced in the golf pro shop warrants a lower rating. As a guest, I was invited to play with my colleagues. The upfront experience was good. However, the attendants did not seem to appreciate guests visiting their course. We were a diverse group of professionals and fairly skilled golfers. We respect the course and the game. Cannot be sure why some golfers were warmly greeted while others seemed to annoy the very same employees. Was race and/or gender an issue? This experience put a huge damper on the whole day and still causes me concern.

This is a review for the catering side of things. I attended a graduation banquet a couple of days ago. Servers were friendly and personable and so were the bartenders. I knew the main course was going to be steak so I asked during the cocktail hour if they could work a vegetarian option for me. I expected a boring pasta with vegetables dish. Instead of the easy way out they made an Instagram ready meal that tasted every bit as good. Presentation was spot on as well. This was on a short notice of not even 20 minutes. Very pleasant surprise to which I'm still grateful for.

I was lucky to attend two school related events here two days in a row and was so pleased that the kind manager accommodated my requests for vegan meals both days. The freshly made meals were very delicious and beautiful to look at. Additionally, the wait staff was very efficient and pleasant. Thank you, Palma Ceia, for satisfying my plant based needs.

I have only been here for a business dinner event but it is decorated very nice and seems like it would be a great place for a wedding or other similar size function. The sound quality is very good in the main dining area and there is a small raised stage if your event requires it.My event had caesar salad, chicken marsala and a dessert. All were above average but nothing to really brag about. The bathrooms are a little small if you have a large event but that shouldn't affect the success

I come down twice per year to visit family. I went to tennis camp here when I was younger and play when I come down now. The clubhouse, courts, and facilities are all high quality and clean. Staff is always present and attentive for any needs. Can't ask for more but I'm not asking much either.

Last Played: March 1, 2012Practice:Putting green next to the clubhouse provided a true roll. It was a great place to get some feel for the greens - the course was rolling true to the practice green. However, it would have been nice to include some undulations for the practice green to help gain a feel for the speed.Chipping area was fabulous. The chipping area allows for all types of uphill and straight chip shots from different lies. It was ideal for practicing here before the round (very tight lies out on the course). There were no downhill chipping lies in this area, but I don't think it was necessary - didn't encounter any of these lies out on the course.Range was decent for warming up. There was only one flag ~100yds to aim at, which felt a bit missing (did not whack a few pre-round with the driver) - but it was enough to get warmed up.Play:Course layout was a walker's dream. Most of the tee boxes were very close to the greens. This helped a great deal with the pace of play. For a Thursday afternoon, we only had to wait on one hole (par 3). Being a Par 70, the course was also a bit shorter than I'm used to. What made the course interesting was the need for more target golf. It'll be very helpful to know where to miss on your approaches - many of the fairways and greens will funnel into the bunkers. Tip: It's also helpful to know where the OB is on each hole. The shrubbery and trees can sometimes mask the water. You'll be rewarded by some safe shots off the tee.The course was also in great shape. When I played, the greens were a tad longer than I'm used to, but I'm sure the greenskeeper can add speed if desired.
