Palm River Cafe

We ordered catering and they delivered! The food was amazing. Bread fresh. Salad was crisp and fresh. Empanadas were amazing and tasty. All the food was tasty, plentiful and delicious. We will order again!

The food was amazing I will recommend people to go get food when it's opened .Cuban sandwiches are also delicious but you and someone else one

I stopped at the Palm River Cafe on my way home from Tampa to pick up a breakfast sandwich. Everyone working there was super friendly and helpful. The service was super quick and efficient, I got my order within minutes of placing it. I was just going to get the sandwich, but when I arrived I saw they had sweet plantains so got a side order of that as well. Both items were delish!

I always get my breakfast Cuban and my grits here on Thursday morning I love this place they have great deals the food is excellent and I know the owner she is very customer conscious cares about her customers very much

I wanted to try a new pizza while traveling into the Brsn dr on/Tampa area and found this place. I had this delivered so I can't say much about the interior or the staff. However, a nice l a's day did take my order. I got the deluxe pizza. I would rate it a 7. It could have used a little more cheese and the topping were a bit scarce on a few. Plenty of olives though! I like the taste of the crust. It had a nice sweet taste and balance. Could've been cooked a little longer though. I would order again!!!

Make sure to stop in for a steak sandwich, during breakfast or lunch. They also have the best guava and cheese turnover in town in my opinion, always slightly warm and mouth watering with a flaky crust. The service is fast and the prices are great.

I have to start this review by saying I love this little small business and the family that owns it but every time I go I have had a problem and this last time is left with nothing to eat. I called back to advise the girl that the mistake was made again and I couldn't come back because I was so far and I've gone out of my way to make sure I stopped by to support this café but her response to me was, "thanks for letting us know okay bye" me. I ordered one beef empanada which I have ordered before. I do not like their chicken empanadas and I have found bones in them before etc. So I comes out I go to my car take one bite and notice it's chicken. I walked back in and ask them to please make sure I get a beef one. The sweet abuela of the group came out with a fresh prepared empanada and Said it was for sure beef. So I waited to drive 35 minutes away, back to my office so I could eat it but when I got there and they into it it was chicken again. I had to give away both of the meat pies to a friend and was left with nothing to eat and sadly after calling and hearing that response from the owner I will not come back. I wanted them to know that she was so convinced it was there must be a problem with how they are labeled in the kitchen or some thing because it made no sense that it was not fixed the first time and I cared enough to make sure no one else has to go through this where they are losing out on money and customers

Hidden little cuban cafe that serves up a good hot lunch that won't set you back a lot. They have a buffet of items set out and you can get a meat and 2 sides with a drink for under 8 bucks. They also have sandwiches and of course a good Cuban- a half Cuban and a soda is 5 bucks, and this is no small sandwich. I usually opt for one of their meats, like a chicken quarter in some kind of seasoned juices with onions...and of course, a side of black beans and rice.While there are quite a few small Cuban and latin joints in the area, this place isn't cash only- so your plastic is welcome.The place looks really tiny from the outside, but they actually have a decent size dining area for those looking to stay and eat. I think a lot of their business is takeout, though.They also serve breakfast, which I have never tried.It is definitely hidden. If you are heading south down 78th street, it would be the little cut through BEFORE the 7-11 gas station. It is located next to a small pharmacy. If you are driving east on Palm River, it would be behind the plaza with the Mexican restaurant before the 7-11 gas station.

Don't order any sandwich from this place ! Its always wrong and everytime I call and tell them they expect me to drive all the way back for there mistake when I can easily take a picture and send it ! Everytime never fails they can never make a sandwich right and I get the same thing every time so i don't get how it always wrong every time I call to order . don't waste your time here ! they don't care! negative 0 ZEROO rate and at this point with the amount of times I've had the same issue it's always with the same lady that makes the sandwich and she never cares , she so quick to say " I don't know what's wrong with it " when clearly you can't do your job right ! You guys need a new sandwich lady because the one you have now is terrible and always making mistakes on the most simplest thing .

Just left there. 2 issues. Standing there to order and another customer comes in, Spanish, and the person behind the counter takes care of the customer and ignores me. The owner notice this and says something to her. Second issue ordered a pressed Cuban all the way. I guess the press machine is broken because my sandwich is cold. Waste of $7. Never had an issue before but it will be a minute before I go back, if I do
