Never come to a Cuban sandwich shop and ask for wheat bread lol! Thanks to Palm Avenue Sandwich Shop, Cuban bread will be my preference for sandwiches until further notice. I ordered the large turkey sub with no mayo which cost a little under $9.50. The food is really delicious, the service is even better. Real authentic Cuban vibes! It's on the corner of palm & Nebraska so if you are in the area this establishment is a must! Next time I'm hoping to try an empanada. Parking lot is small but can fit about 8-10 cars. Check em out!

I am all about this spot. No frills, no frou frou, just delicioso Cuban style delicacies.Large Cuban bread was crispy buttery goodness. Best $1.75 I ever spent. The empanada was tasty also served with hot sauce and a bargain at $2.50. Arby's jamocha shakes might have competed when they were a $1, but bo more..Everything about this place is understated. That's the way I liked it. Gen Me. I can still taste the Cuban bread. It's the simple things in life. The machinery of ladies in the back busting out great food. Count me in.

This sandwich is FIRE! It's all in the bread. I ended up in Tampa longer than I intended one morning and was encouraged to try this local spot. It's definitely a hole in the wall, so you know the food is bussin. If you're hungry but not super hungry, a whole sandwich could be split with two people.You should try it!

Breakfast sandwich was delicious. The cafe con leche was fantastic. Hard to find but once you do it will be a go to place

Love this place. Used to eat here all the time when I lived in Tampa. Still stop by once in a while when I'm in town. Not in the best neighborhood. Inexpensive. Sandwiches and hot bar are a great quick lunch option. They have Tampa Cuban staples like deviled crab and guava and cheese pastries too.

Dropped from 5 to 4 stars because they stopped making devil crabs. They had the best crabs in Tampa. The steak sandwich is my go to and always good although it has gotten much smaller over the last 2 years.

My go to for quick breakfast Cuban sandwiches. Fresh...affordable...and just all around great. Would always order something when on that side of town for breakfast.

The food is delicious and they have fast service. The hospitality is very welcoming/La comida es deliciosa y tienen un servicio rápido. La hospitalidad es muy acogedora.

One of my favorite little places for empanadas, cheese toast and coffee. The steak sandwich is good as well. There's always someone ordering something from here. The only downside is lately homeless are in and around the establishment begging daily.
