We did a quick little overnight stay in Tampa recently and stayed at the Palihouse in Hyde Park. This was going to be mom & dad's first night away from our new baby, so we knew we wanted to pick a place that felt luxurious and special -- even if it was just for one night. The price was actually great considering the location and quality of the hotel at $236/night. We had a wonderful stay a Palihouse which is a boutique hotel in the heart of Hyde Park Village with only about 36 rooms. We opted for the king suite which was very spacious with a dining area and kitchenette. Since I am a pumping mom, having fridge storage for my milk was a must, and I love that all their suites have cute little retro SMEG refrigerators. The bathroom was very clean with cozy robes and the bed was so comfortable. They also have a cocktail lounge in the main lobby where we grabbed a little nightcap. It was so nice to walk outside and be within walking distance of so many amazing restaurants and shops. We would definitely stay here again the next time we're in the Tampa area!

This review is for the Lobby bar/restaurant:I should've trusted my instinct to not eat at a hotel lobby restaurant. Came in for brunch, it was quiet, we were the first and only table. The coffee was stored in a container that came out lukewarm. I had the Palicobb which was their chicken Cobb salad that was mistakenly made as a turkey sandwich so they had to remake it. When it came out, it was so salty, veggies were not fresh (some brown), chicken cubes tasted like they were soaked in saltwater that was very questionable for health reasons. I had to return the dish because it may give me food poison. My friend had burger that looked ok. Drinks were ok but it's expected for a lobby bar.For service, we had to ask for some water, and no one came to refill, asked several times and finally got more at the very end when we already signed the check. The hotel itself is cool with nice decor and clean bathroom. Just avoid the coffee and food here...

Traveling often for work and for fun, I stay at a lot of hotels and Airbnbs. There's much to like about Palihouse Hyde Park Village. It's designed beautifully with plants out front, a spiral staircase to walk up to the reception area, and design-forward rooms. Service is top notch. (For example, they let me check in four hours early.) I stayed in Room 30 and it was the right size for one person. The king-sized bed was comfortable. There's a narrow couch, a narrow desk, and a closet with a hair dryer and a steamer to "iron" your clothes. The bathroom is medium sized with a rain shower with good water pressure. The neighborhood is clearly done up with a Barry's gym across the street, shops, and restaurants built for Gen Zers. The only thing I'd note is that my room was $351 after taxes for one night, which felt steep for what you get. Other than that, it was a good stay.

Had a great, last minute happy hour here with some friends! We were able to try out some of their different happy hour cocktails and my friends loved their dirty martinis. It's an intimate lobby bar in the boutique hotel in Hyde park.

As a travel advisor, I visited this hotel! It was beautiful and quaint. Definitely reminded me of a bed and breakfast. The hotel bar was quiet and welcoming and the interior design was elegant and cute. Definitely recommend staying here. Located in a great area for walking, shopping and dining!

I was a guest staying at Palihouse. This hotel review is about their services as a whole (not just food and beverage): Check-in/Check-out/Front desk: The check-in was fine but the extra fees are not disclosed at check-in. Check-in is at 4PM and Check-out is at 11AM. If you want late check-out past a half hour, they will charge you 50.00 per additional half hour in the room. Also, the valet is extra and you will need to valet your car if you have luggage and cannot find a spot in the 7 spot lot behind the hotel. I was fortunate to find a spot on the day I arrived. But, later on had to valet the car in the midst of the weekend traffic. Front desk assisted with recommendations and also, did let me know I could park in the garage across the street and in front of residents homes behind the hotel (this wasn't an option when traveling with a larger sized bag). Plus, who parks in front of a residence?!Rooms: The king room was very cozy and the bed was not too soft and not too hard. I slept well. Guests staying in the hotel were mindful of others and didn't slam doors. The rooms didn't have many "extras." For example, the shelf was stocked with food to buy and drinks in the mini bar. However, there was a small lotion bottle and nothing else in the "extras" for complimentary toiletries. They had a small bar of soap. Note: I noticed room cleanliness overall. The floors looked a tad dirty (all over the hotel). I could see particles here and there throughout the place on the floor. Last but not least, the shower in my room had very low pressure. It was a rain shower and part of the shower head was non functional. It didn't have water running from it. I think it was the best it was going to get and it was a pressure issue. Hopefully, they can fix it. Parking: The parking is a hot mess. If you are willing to pay 30.00 per night, you'll be ok. The additional charge to your bill or extra time it will take you to find a parking spot should be noted. Hyde Park Village is a fun place -- it's gotten busier over the years. For this reason, parking and traffic have become an issue. Overall, I enjoyed my stay Palihouse and the environment of the hotel. It's a new business, it has some kinks to iron out. I look forward to seeing updates and improvements in the future.

A hotel bar that offers cocktails, wine/beer, & light bites. I will say the ambiance is cozy and calm but there is definitely room for improvement. The structure of the operation is 1 bartender and she apparently has several other duties in relation to the housekeeping of the hotel. Upon entry there is no one in a designated area bar wise. We waited until someone came from the back & we as well as the patrons across from us, didn't know how the seating worked. The drink I was served was called a Smash & the cheese plate NOT CHACUTERIE contained Marcona almonds & Brie...they were tasty but something was definitely missing. Prosciutto? Decorum?? A wow factor maybe!! Now, I do realize that Palihouse is a hotel however there should be some sort of formation. And maybe this was just an off day- but they need to get back on!!Perhaps this will warrant a return visit. I'm unsure.

They know how to make a good, strong drink. The staff is polite but not friendly. They aren't engaging but they will be polite. Glad I went because I tried something new. It is cool but it wasn't remarkable or outstanding.

Beautiful hotel lobby and lounge. Still a nice quiet Hyde park secret! Pali house has the most stunning and welcoming decor and adds a cozy lounge option to Hyde park that isn't as slam packed as some of the other bars. Both bartenders are SUPERB and can not only make recommendations from the cocktail menu, but can also go off script as needed. Both of our drinks were perfectly prepared. We didn't have enough time before our dinner reservation for a second round, but are already looking forward to coming back. This is the sort of vibe and quality we needed in Hyde park. If I'm flying a client in for a meeting, this is the place to book them overnight.

Cutest freaking hotel ever. I had a hard time finding it because it is tucked in a spot you would never guess a hotel would be. The vibe makes you want to move right in. Comfy, clean and chic!
