This was as much a meal as it was an experience. We stopped by with our neighbors and respective babies. The staff seemed to be primarily Spanish speaking (which gave me a great opportunity to flex my Spanish), lending authenticity to the experience. Our server was great, and he was forthcoming about the lack of vegetarian options. He kindly told us that they could adjust some of the menu items to be vegetarian, and we were off to the races. I had the chicken with mushroom sauce, which was a giant chicken breast served with a creamy sauce and a side of rice and beans. This was more than enough to share with my toddler and still have a modest leftover portion. I thought the dish was good, though I would stop short of saying great. My wife had a vegetarian mofongo which she was very happy with. I tested my neighbor's skirt steak with chimichurri, which was seasoned and cooked just right with a chimichurri sauce on top. When we asked for hot sauce we were given a green, intensely spicy sauce that I was very happy with. During our meal, a nearby table was serenaded by about 10 staff members, singing a birthday song I'd never heard and playing various instruments. Then a photographer came and took our pictures, and another staff member tried to sell us the framed photos. Prices are a little high but the portions were large enough to mostly justify them. The overall lively vibe and kept us entertained for the night. With full bellies, we left happy.

I traveled to tampa in august & wanted to try puerto rican food since I havent been to one ever (someone please open a PR restaurant in metro detroit lol). The decor of this restaurant felt really authentic & I loved that the waitresses were wearing puerto rican style outfits. My food however was EHH at best. The passion fruit drink was by far the best part of my meal tbh. The chicken and shrimp dish was bland since the cheese they used was on the mild side and very expensive but its a big sized portion!! I could have shared it with someone else honestly. I also got a kids mac & cheese to go and it was so watery and bland!! I had to open the container and let it sit out for hours to thicken up. I would definitely NOT ever get the mac & cheese again if I came back to Pal Campo.Overall I give this restaurant a 3.5/5 but I cant do half stars so 4 stars it is! The service was really great & the drink was good but the food was lackluster. I might come back here to try again since I loved tampa so much.

Stayed in town for a concert and our hotel was right behind this spot, very grateful for this otherwise I never would have known about it/stopped in. The bacalaitos were definitely one of the most flavorful fried foods I've ever had the pleasure of eating. The sancocho was delicious & my dad tore up his order of Pulpo with rice mix, saying it was very flavorful! The bartender that served us was great & I loved the music & traditional art they provided. Would absolutely recommend anyone thinking of trying Pal Campo to stop in & enjoy!

Food was good as usual in their Orlando stores. Place is a bit remote. Wish the cheese was fried longer to be more hot but flavor was good. Pork was good and soup was tasty. Empanada was a weird shape but good nonetheless

This place is AMAZING! The inside is so cute and tropical. I got the cheese balls and guava sauce as an appetizer and it was so delicious! Honestly, everything was delicious. The piña colada was a 10/10 and you get to keep the cute souvenir glass it comes in. I also really enjoyed the steak and onions with mofongo, but I'll definitely be going back to try other items on the menu. The service was great and efficient, our server had awesome recommendations for us and was super sweet. Oh, bonus item not pictured - we had the coconut flan and it's a MUST TRY! The flan melted in your mouth and was heavenly.

Went on a Wednesday evening for dinner. There was no wait and we were seated right away. There is decor in every wall that you look representing Puerto Rican culture. The food is very presentable and tasted yum yum yummy. I will definitely return to try more. Our waiter did disappear and we had to wait for refills or drink, but it didn't take away from the experience.

BFF is Puerto Rican and since PR restaurants are plentiful in Tampa we decided to give this place a try per another BFF's recommendation. Restaurant is beautiful and big with plenty of seating. Service was excellent and although I have never been to Puerto Rico, the staff all wear native clothing to give you that atmosphere as well as the decor of the restaurant. Servers also speak to you in their first language (spanish) but they do ask if everyone speaks it at first. We asked if portions were big so we could share amongst us and our server indicated it is portioned for one person (wrong)! We had to take doggy bags home as the portions were HUGE! Food was tasty and was looking forward to having leftovers for dinner; however, we didn't want to chance it as we were out and about and had the food sitting in our rental for approximately 6 hours so unfortunately we decided not to chance it and tossed it.

Pal Campo is located close to the Tampa airport so if you're traveling and hungry, this is a great spot to check out.I was here for lunch with a group of 5 and the place was pretty empty. I was surprised however Pal Campo is fairly large, it can probably seat up to 70 guests if not more. The interior and ambiance is meh, it's pretty dim especially given I was there for lunch time. There is Puerto Rican decor throughout which is a nice touch. Staff members are dressed in cultural attire which was fun too.Service was excellent, our server was polite, the perfect amount of attentive and made us feel welcomed and at home. My Spanish is a little rusty so thankfully she switched over to English when she noticed I was taking awhile to fully translate what I wanted to say before speaking lol.3 out of the 5 of us ordered mofongo and it was delicious!! The flavors, texture and portions were great. I ordered the octopus mofongo and really enjoyed it. The octopus was on the rubbery side and could have been better but it was still good. I got a cafe con leche to go and that hit the spot! It was my first caffeinated drink of the day so it was much needed and appreciated. I'd definitely come back here when I'm in town again. Overall everything was great and I enjoyed it.
