Ottaway's Parkside Ice Cream Parlor

Great little ice cream parlor in the heart of new port Richey. Prob 25 different flavors, and they're more than happy to let you taste til you find something you like (not difficult, they're all tasty). Super friendly staff and great shop. Not a ton of seating inside, but xtra tables outside when the weather is nice.

A lot of flavors to pick from. We had the black cherry and espresso chip. Both were very good. Creamy and loaded with flavor. Highly recommend. Staff were friendly as well.

Ottaway's Parkside Ice Cream Parlor is an old school type place for ice cream with brightly painted walls, a cheerful staff and good ice cream.Ottaway's Parkside Ice Cream Parlor has a nice selection of ice cream flavors, so you should be able to find something to intrigue and/or tempt you, or at the very least, make you remember it being a favorite flavor from childhood and you decide that is the flavor to order and relive the memory of a long ago ice cream summer.Overall, I would definitely recommend Ottaway's Parkside Ice Cream and I give it five stars.

GREAT! I came to the shop late one weekend with my family and i was helped by the girl with the short hair, she was very knowledgeable of the menu and great with my younger daughter, she was quick and had a cool band tee shirt. the ice cream is also very delicious i recommend the brownie caramel. if you want to create memories with the young ones, bring them here.

When my husband and i walked in we waited 10 minutes at the counter and ignored by the gal with the long braided pony tail who served a group of teenagers that was behind us while another gal was struggling with putting ice cream buckets in the freezer. None of the three staff wore gloves when scooping the ice cream. They were constantly throwing the metal ice cream scoopers in the bucket which made a loud bang each time. I just wanted to get out of there. We asked why we were ignored and the pony tail girl lied and said she didn't see us when we were standing at the counter???!! We left without getting ice cream.

Cute little old fashioned ice cream parlor! Charming place with a nice selection of homemade ice cream, and a multitude of sweet treats to enjoy. A few flavors of fudge, brownies, cake pops, candies, cookie dough shooters & even doggie treats including cookies & doggie. ice creams. There were a few tables inside & outside as well. Nice spot to take the family for an after dinner treat!

Well 8 of us came in at 8:30 and the girl behind the counter was being very rude, I understand it's close to closing but why would your hours even suggest coming in if we were going to be mistreated. My father in-law ended up asking her why she's being so rude and she told us "it's close to closing time"All 8 of us then and there walked out and went elsewhere for our ice cream. I hope the manager or owner sees this because this is not good for business at all.

This ice cream place has the hard old fashioned ice cream that will bring you back to your childhood. They actually had real bubble gum flavor with the actual small pieces of bubble gum. I felt like a kid again. We got the single scoop but the scoops were a big portion. In addition they also have frozen treats for the puppy's as well. An additional plus is that the parlor is set just outside sims park so it is great to make a romantic evening, get an ice cream and walk the park. We will be back.

Stopped by to have a break on Main Street New Port Richey and happened upon Ottoways Parkside Ice Cream Parlor. A neat place with indoor and outdoor seating. They have an exceptional choice of ice cream and even egg cream. There are cookies and hot dogs and boiled punts too. I had a very small scoop of low/no added sugar butter pecan ice cream, that was out of this world. My husband had a strawberry hot fudge sundae that had whipped cream and a cherry on top. The staff are courteous and helpful. When you visit down town you must check them out! We will be back.

Awesome service. The store was really accommodating and followed any covid laws in place. We felt safe and happy that we were able to enjoy a little dessert. Masks in place, properly social distanced. All the kids ate their ice cream right up. The adults were just as happy. Ice cream was creamy and delicious. Perfect for that warm Florida sun! On a nice hot day this is the perfect place to cool down. They had a great assortment of candy as well. They had some stuff I haven't seen in years! Go take a look and get some yummy treats. On our next trip down we will be back for sure! I hope they keep the business up during these trying times. Support local! We will see you soon!
