Omi’s Bar & Grill

So I'm quite bit jealous of the locals for having such an authentic neighborhood Puerto Rican spot. If I lived here I'd frequent it at least weekly. Once again our trusty Yelp app came to the rescue because of all the previous reviews and for that I thank you. Omi's Grill is on point folks!! The apps and the food were all tastefully authentic. No seriously everything was great. The bacalaitos, pastelillos, alcapuria wow! The mofongo - bangin! The chicharrón de pollo - Aye Dios Mío! And the white rice and beans - simply comforting. We visited on a Saturday afternoon and it wasn't busy. Got seated and ordered quickly. The food came out and we suddenly had a feast before us - literally. Great portions. The owner paid a visit and chatted with us. This place just hits the spot with its food! If you're in the area and want to a true PR dining experience look no further. I'll be back Omi. Till then keep doing your thing.

We came by to try a new restaurant for us. We were seated right away and Omi greeted us and brought our drinks and explained the menu and showed us some of his pictures. We decided on the Octopus Salad (8oz, $9.49) and Plantain Sandwich with chicken ($12.50) and the Mofongo with Flank Steak, rice and red beans (19.95). The octopus salad came in a nice plastic bowl with lid underneath if you did not finish it all. It was very good and we saved a bit to take home. The plantain sandwich with chicken was also very good, the chicken was nicely seasoned and tender. They also made my French fries without salt. The mufongo was also very good. The mixture of green and ripe plantains was tasty. The steak was very tender for being cut thin. Again the Mufongo was served in a dish with lid underneath, very convenient. We could not eat it all so packaged them u p to take home for dinner. Omi told us about the pig roast they do on Saturdays, which was the day before our visit. We asked if he had a pound we could purchase and he was very accommodating (1lb Lechon Solo $12.50) We did try a piece in the car and it was very good. The restaurant is very clean and the service was amazing. Omi was very friendly and explained the menu so well. We will be back to try other things like the Crazy Plate and smash burger.

I came across this restaurant by chance, and it was a great surprise. Tania, our server, provided excellent service. The atmosphere was warm and family-friendly, and the food was outstanding. I had the churrasco with mofongo, served with a side salad, and also ordered some tostones de pana, which were delicious. For my drink, I chose a passion fruit mojito, but it was the only thing I didn't love, as it was a bit strong.

Let me tell you, this is hands down one of the tastiest chickens falling off the mone delicious! Served quickly and with a smile in the middle of a classic VW collector gathering and some catchy live latin music. Plenty of seating both inside and out.

Omi is a food truck at Water Avenue. Now they have their own place. They are graduate from food truck. I have visited them when they are food truck. I got the rotisserie chicken. This item is added when they have this store. The rotisserie chicken is delicious due to their marinated sauce. Very tasty. I also got lobster empanada and the beef alcapurrias. Both the appetizers are very special. If you visit this place, I also recommend try their pulpo in olive oil.

This place offers delicious Puerto Rican cuisine. We had tried surf and turf with flank steak and octopus salad. The octopus salad was really good. We had ordered this dish since they were food truck. The steak was not bad. I also like their garlic shrimp with Monfongo- big shrimps with rich, yummy, garlic sauce. And the mofongo is always good- tasty, big portion, and fresh. The rotisserie chicken is also my favorite -big bird, well-seasoned and juicy. I am a big fan of their salty fish biscuit -good size, good price, delicious and one of a kind. I didn't see any other place offers this. The dining area was OK. The service was OK. This place is a solid good eatery.

Don't let the name fool you--Omi's Bar & Grill offers the most authentic Puerto Rican cuisine around. Omi's mofongo is a staple dish, and it's simply spectacular. So this is a go to for me. The people here are so friendly and approach you with a family feeling. The food is excellent . My favorite is the Mofongo with shrimp and the Caribbean Cherry drink! But all of the food is delicious. They have tv's on to entertain you and it's a nice and laid back environment. You will be full!!! Please give them a try.

Very friendly service and went out of their way to accommodate my usual food allergy issues. I ordered the smash burger which they modified and put on Texas toast. Wow! So good. Buttery outside, perfectly cooked and seasoned burger, fresh fries and burger toppings are deliciously fresh. Highly recommended!

My friend and I ate dinner at Omi's for the first time. The food is very good. I had the Mofongo bowl with flank steak. The meat was tender and tasty. My friend had the breaded chicken dish which was also good. Plenty of variety (chicken, meat and seafood). We plan on returning to try the smash burger. The passion fruit juice drink was quite refreshing. The owner, Omi, was very pleasant and entertaining. I highly recommend coming here for the tasty food and reasonable prices.
