Usually, when you hear about the Spanish restaurant, it means a restaurant owned by people that speak SpanishNot in this case It's a Spanish restaurant, selling food like you would eat if you were in Spain

We came here for some Sunday brunch because we heard that new place is opened. We were in the area. The good part: new Spanish restaurant in town, definitely a good thing. Food was really tasty and portions were sizable. We had patats bravas, octopus, shrimp, croquettes, tuna ceviche, tomato/avocado salad. All food was great, no complaints. They still did not have their alcohol license which is fine for us, but they said "any day now". Service was friendly and attentive. Unfortunately the location is between two big roads, so you basically on the middle of the highway. They need to invest some money for tall trees or bushes, so it's more pleasant experience. They have a tiny area for the bar, which should be 2-3 times as large. Not sure if they plan to change that when they get their alcohol license. I liked this place but to make it more desirable, will need to fix the direct view to the highway situation.

Ambience zero points, food, and service five points, it's amazing that such a good chef has no understanding of ambience, the place was so bright that my eyes was hurting looking at the bar and seeing the bright lights like a sun in your eyes, the service was good , but our server had a hard time understanding us, the food was amazing , I felt like I'm eating in an upscale diner, we asked the server if they could dim the lights, but they did not understand us, if you are on a date, I would not recommend this place, but if you like bright places and good food, this is the restaurant for you.

The food was good but the service left much to be desired. Upon our arrival there was one person ordering take out and we were seated immediately. It took another 20 minutes for the waitress to check in us and we had to ask for water. We ordered the garlic shrimp from the appetizer menu, my husband had the shrimp risotto from the entree menu and I ordered the pork belly and guacamole from the entree menu. There was definitely some misinterpretation of the menu as it related to portion sizes and content. Be advised the pork belly and guacamole are delicious but not entree portions. The shrimp risotto entree had a total of three shrimp but cost $25! Our garlic shrimp appetizer cost $18 and had 10 shrimp ok. We both agreed the risotto would not have been worth it without the addition of the garlic shrimp. I believe with some tweaking of the menu and improvement to customer service Olivos has potential to be a five star rerestaurant. The location is convenient for us so we will be back in a few months.

Excited and curious about a new restaurant that presented with a lot of intrigue. It looked as if an upscale establishment was dropped onto the footprint of the ex Boston Market. This tapas restaurant is very sleek and trendy with beautiful signage, dark flat exterior paint and windows so dark you can't see in. So what is it doing at the corner of Waters and Hanley in Town n Country when its neighbors are Walmart, McDonalds and Churches Fried Chicken? We visited for Sunday lunch as we had for one of its sister establishments Bahia Churrascaria, which was very good, but came with a jolt of sticker-shock as does Olivios. The interior was lovely, cozy, also well branded with an abundance of wait staff who were great. The food, was delicious - bruschetta, smoked salmon salad and a chicken mushroom entree. Although, with the menu prices and its name, Olivos, I expected more than canned black olives on my salad. Now these things would have made the experience more pleasant. Comfortable seating rather than the small, hard, cold metal chairs we had to endure. Ugg. I wouldn't mind spending more time but not in those seats. Shrubberies! Both to camouflage the feeling of sitting in an 8 lane highway and to make the exterior much more inviting. It doesn't look open. It is also very difficult to access from Waters or Hanley. And the already mentioned $$$. It would be nice to have a bit of a break for lunch especially in the area - $83.00 for 2, one tea (charged by the glass no refill) no alcohol. All that said, wishing Olivos the success of their other 2 businesses!

Everything about this place was incredible!! The ambiance was nice, quiet and romantic. The service was immaculate and the food just impeccable. I cannot recommend this place enough, we just stumbled upon it after a dr. Appt in Tampa, the truffle risotto is an absolute must have!
