It's been a long time coming that we find a place with the best Chirashi bowl in Pinellas County! We dined late and the servers were still very accommodating! We started off with the grilled Octopus- very delicious! Then moved on to some rolls, Scallop Roll, Sexy Rolland Chirashi bowls. We had to wrap it up since they were almost closing and we feel bad. We will be back to try others on the menu.

I have always loved this sushi place. The sushi is delicious. They have so many different specialty rolls and classic rolls as well. The staff is very nice and friendly. The sushi never takes too long to make. Sometimes when I place an order, it is ready in as little as 10 to 15 minutes. They expanded the inside of the restaurant, so there is more seating. It is very nice.

The flavor of the sushi is good but there is way too much rice and their prices are very expensive. I have been going here since Charlie the original owner opened over 25 years ago and the quality is never consistant , sometimes really good and sometimes sucks depending who is makig the rice and rolling the sushi. That is not acceptable so I will most likely never be back.

BEWARE - They charge you more than the prices reflect on the menu. We went for dinner and had high hopes for this place. They are open late with decent prices and selections so hoping to love it. We ordered sake, Thai spring rolls and chicken yakitori for an app. The spring rolls were good and the yakitori was just ok. Then ordered sushi rolls and a sushi bowl. The sushi was pretty good, portion sizes were small but flavorful however they skimp on ingredients. The scallop roll was supposed to have avocado but seriously there was a fingernail sized sliver of avocado in three of the six pieces, the others had none. The sushi bowl came out wrong, we sent it back as the server said he brought the wrong one. The second bowl had items in it we didn't order like raw onions which weren't even an option on the menu. Third bowl was correct but just not that great. Their portion ratios are all off. The server brings the check and I notice the prices on everything were higher than on the menu. I asked the server if we were charged more than the menu price and he said "yes, sorry". Apparently they hiked their prices but didn't change the menu or bother to tell people. WTH!! That's shady business and we will never return. I'll stick with BG Robata for sushi if we are in that area.

This Sushi place was unusual for us. We ordered the chicken satay to start with, and I would never order that it again. The chicken was so overcooked and dry, it was almost inedible. It looked good though. Then when looking at the menu, I honestly couldn't find a Sushi roll and neither could Ben that we wanted so we both went with getting a make your own Sushi Burrito. Normally finding a roll is not an issue, especially for Ben. I did like the different options that you can pick and choose from when creating your own roll from sauces, veggies, proteins, wrap type, etc and we both order completely different types. I was very pleased with mine and since it is a burrito, it was too big for me to finish and I was going to take the rest home. BUT, still getting use to having to ensure your mask is on prior to getting up from your seat, I got distracted and left it on the table. :( So, we may not be back for traditional Sushi, but I am pretty sure we will be back for a Sushi Burrito.
