New York New York Pizza

New York New York Pizza is a decent enough place to head towards if you are craving pizza and are in the Riverview, Florida area.The ambiance here is pretty much what you expect from a pizzeria. Kind of no-frills, but (at least for me), that's fine. For a pizzeria, the emphasis should be on the pizza and not some hoity-toity atmosphere. The pizza here is definitely pretty good. I am originally from New Jersey and pretty much took it for granted that great pizza was pretty much on every corner. When I moved down here to Florida back in 2001 (kind of shocking to realize that I have been down here well over twenty years, that's more than two decades), I was both shocked and more than a little dismayed to find that great pizza or even was not available on every corner. In fact, good pizza was something that you had to search for and when you found it, it was indeed a reason to celebrate, and what better way to celebrate than with a slice of pizza in hand.All in all, I would definitely recommend here.

As an NYC native, this does not taste like NYC pizza. However, they do make a tasty pie and I'd still recommend this local business. Awesome staff and a mean pepperoni slice.

I love the strombolis but for this visit I was more in the mood for a pasta so I tried the Baked Eggplant Florentine. I found the eggplant to be very greasy and loaded with cheese. I was hoping it would taste more fresh and crispy with the bread crumbs but it all kind of slid apart. The sauce was just what they use as marinara sauce dip when you order a stromboli. It's far too chunky for a pasta. The salad tasted good, but the garlic bread was more like a buttered toast. I couldn't taste any garlic.

Salty - coming from me, who loves salt.We're in the mood of pizza and heard of this place - so made a pit stop. Ordered pepperoni and Florentine: both are salty. Are they New York? Hmmmm I don't know bec I don't consume enough pizzas to judge. But I do know that New York pizzas' crust is thiner than, say Chicago... Honestly, NY pizza isn't as thin as the pizzas in Italy -:).DO I like NY pizza? I love pizza and love Pizza Hut's pizza -:) In any case, tomato + cheese + dough ... CAN any one screw up a pizza? -:)I'm SO stuffed ... that's the third infusion of Pu-erh tea, if you wonder

Stopped in for lasagne and it came with salad, and they even ask what dressing you want. They tie the bag up so you grab and go. Get home, no salad! I mean it was one thing! And they weren't even busy! That's what you get. Higher wages and lower service!

I have ordered the eggplant parmesan sub from here a couple times. I would say it has been the best I've had in this area so far. I've tried a few other local spots in the area and it's either too slimy or burnt to a crisp lol. They seem to be semi consistent with it.

It's the only pizza I eat. The crust is thin, how I like it, and there isn't an overload of sauce. I've always been a pizza hater but I would definitely eat here again. I used to live in New York, and naturally I've had pizza there before. I'm my opinion this pizza is better than the old corner shop I used to get pizza from, however everyone likes different things so I'm not going to say it's the best pizza ever, but My personal preference is this pizza right here. Service was good, it was really fast and the workers were really kind and talkative. I wish they had a bigger shop with sit down area and everything like that, but their current location isn't dirty or small or anything like that.

I placed an order online for a large meat lovers and garlic knots at 4:14 pick up was supposed to be at 4:59. I was there at 5 to pick up my pizza, they asked my name, went back to check on my food. Then one of the other employee's up front, not the same person that had first asked which was still missing in action. Now fifteen minutes later asked me my name again. Finally I got my pizza and garlic knots at 5:25. Now I only live 1.5 miles from the store got home and the pizza was cold and the garlic knots were very bland. Definitely not the same place we've eaten at several times before.

I ordered a cheese pizza for pick up. The crust was dry and tasted like cardboard. The sauce was bland and the cheese was cold and dry. I gave it two stars because it was ready on time and the staff that handed the pizza was friendly. The place seemed as if it needed repair

If you closed your eyes and pretended you were at the bowling alley and you just scored a 130 on your first game and have a pitcher of bud light under your belt and they brought out pizza and wings from this place you would be satisfied.
