Omg we just had the best meal in a long time. We were visiting Tampa for the day to pick up some furniture @vibrantvintagefinds and it just so happened that I googled restaurants in the area. Last thing I expected was to find an authentic Georgian restaurant with classic Russian and Ukranian dishes. Off coarse i had to force my husband to go, even though all my husband and kids ever want to eat is #chickfila.Anyways, this place had a very simple but cute atmosphere. Every chair had a traditional cover and the decor was tasteful and cozy. We ordered the traditional Georgian dishes, Hinkali-meat stuff pockets/dumplings with middle eastern spices. I think it was stuffed with combination lamb and beef. They were really satisfying and tasty, as well as different from the Chinese dumplings that are more common. The khachapoori was absolutely amazing. I was actually really surprised that my picky kids showed interest in it and tried it, and liked it!!! The dough was soft and fresh, cheese was salty and soft l, and it was very comforting to eat on a cold January day. Cheese was so soft, it almost had a texture of mashed potatoes. My main meal was the classic borscht and husband got the stuffed cabbage rolls. Both dishes were super delicious. The borscht came with bread and sour cream. It was meaty and flavorful and only $10. Cabbage rolls were a good size and they had some kind of cooked pepper and onion tapenade on top that added to an already excellent flavor. This place is a gem..i only wish it wasn't 2 hours away #tampafood #tampafoodie #Tamparestaurant

Food, service, and ambiance were all excellent. Our server Ida was so friendly and helpful in recommending how to eat the Georgian dumplings. A type of soup dumpling, she recommended we flip them and eat them by hand to enjoy the broth inside. They were rich, tender, and the condiments of tomato and herbed sour cream added more complexity and texture to the dish. The Vareniki were delicious too. The caramelized onion and fresh dill added a nice touch.I ordered the Ukrainian Stroganoff and my partner had the Uzbek Plov. The stroganoff contained a hearty portion of egg noodles tossed in parsley butter with tender beef and meaty mushrooms in a silky cream sauce. The Plov included spiced rice and chunks of lamb with an assortment of veggies. The spice combination was so intriguing - I have never tasted anything quite like it (turmeric, paprika, and ???) It was delicious! For dessert we shared the Ukrainian Medovik. Thin layers of honey cake were complimented by lightly sweetened whipped cream. It was exceptionally good! I don't think I could visit without ordering this again. I appreciated that it was just the right amount of sweet.I'll be back!

Found this place while trying to figure out lunch, so glad we did! Everyone loved their food! Very unique, Eastern European, with a decent amount of vegetarian options. Our kiddo loved their food onion/dill dumplings, I think he ate half the plate! Also the dessert was one of my fav as well. Definitely recommend, staff is very friendly and service is fast! Easy parking right I. Front of restaurant. Beautiful decor.

Aside from the 3 young ladies at the bar talking in the most abnoxious manner, dinner was great! The ambiance and music nice, the server attentive but super busy and could use some help, but the food was amazing. The georgian eggplant roulettes were amazingly good, the chicken kyiv great too, the Ukranian beet salad lacked vinaigrette but was good. Overall, well done and we will return to try new things. Try the green and blue wines!!!!!

I have been meaning to try this place many times but it's not super visible from Manhattan Avenue.I finally added a reservation to my calendar. What a fantastic restaurant with a variety of homemade food. We asked for some recommendations from the very kind waitress. We started with a savory pastry filled with spiced meat. Absolutely pillowy pastry dough fresh from the oven. I should've brought some home! The next appetizer was a dumpling filled with meat and soup broth. You pick it up and turn it upside down and take a sip of broth with every bite. Delicious. Our party of five selected many items. The cabbage rolls were fantastic and so was the Chicken Kiev. I had the stroganoff. It had a delicious flavor but was not as hot as it should've been.If you're an adventurous eater, this place has many things to choose from for everyone! Please support this place- I'm only sorry I hadn't been sooner!
