Service was great! Efficient and very kind. Even gave us an extra beef on the house! Beef was my favorite.

Gotta love an empanada! First time at this particular store. As usual these little tasty pastry stuffed pies are AWESOME!! My go to is the spinach, artichoke and cheese. Soooo good. Then I usually get a beef and cheese. The Apple ones are great for a dessert.We always overbuy!! But thrown them in your toaster oven and they come out perfectly. They even puff up a bit! If you have never tried an empanada, then you need to run to this place, choose your favorite flavor and enjoy! Oh, and don't forget to get extras to warm up at home for another tasty meal!

Treat yourself to a small in size but big in flavor empanada. It's a pastry pie fried to perfection but never greasy filled with a wide selection of fillings. My favorite is the spinach, artichoke and cheese. Italian sausage and cheese is a close second. Three locations, South St off of Lois near the airport, downtown on Kennedy and on Armenia. All locations are clean and well staffed with always friendly people. We buy extra and reheat them in our toaster oven, they reheat great. Try them.

Amazing little place that you'd miss if you didn't know it was there. Wonderful empanadas, fresh cooked and just the perfect spice level. Colleague had a Cuban sandwich and said it was excellent. Great place to grab lunch in the middle of the workday.

Excellent choice for a Tampa food staple. Empanadas as fresh as they get, sandwiches, soups and salads. Had no idea how many flavors of empanadas there were and after two trips I've almost tried them all. Beef and cheese is my go to for sure. Awesome little spot to eat.

I've been doing a job near by, after three months of wanting to go, finally did! Wasn't disappointed @ all. Like the selection. Food was hot and freshly made. I'll definitely be back. Thanks again to the friendly staff.

Mr. Empanada is great! When I walked in, I was greeted by the kind staff in the kitchen and at the register. The food was great also. The staff and food each deserve their own 5 Star Rating. The cuban sandwich was so tasty and the flavors mixed nicely. The crispiness of my empanadas along with their warm taste made my lunch here a great one. Everyone needs to try Mr. Empanada!

I just wanted to complement the delicious empanadas Alex and his team prepare at the Van Dike location restaurant to the community. We moved to this area from Orlando and have found a niche with Mr. Empanadas. We recently had guest over and we ordered a tray of mini empanadas and my guest were delighted with them and I couldn't have been more satisfied with their food and service. We also love their salads and the black bean soup, which is a must for my husband. Alex and his team are very professional and attentive to clients needs. The beef and cheese empanada was great!! The salad was also very tasty (one of my fav salads like this in all of Tampa). The staff was very friendly and helpful. Affordable prices. Will definitely be back.
