Our new favorite place when road tripping. Stopped for an early breakfast and it was so delicious. Everything's made with fresh, quality ingredients. I had the Frittata of the day which was light and airy with the best Rosemary potatoes. My husband had the Sloppy BLT which he said was the best ever. We met the owners and got the origin story of the name. The courtyard it's in is so cute with lots of flowers. We can't wait to go back and work our way through the menu.

Terrible service. Tourist trap. Nasty attitude at register. Oldish food. Don't go. Nice other coffee shop nearby is good.I appreciate your response but your manner was decidedly inhospitable. I thought maybe you had family problems or an illness that affected your mood. Hope you get a good rest over Thanksgiving and come back with a smile on your face.

I love this gem in Lake Placid. The staff is always friendly and even when busy, the service is fast and you can still find a spot. I enjoy the outdoor patio to watch the butterflies and people. The food is always consistent and I enjoy the availability of healthy options. The avocado toast and frittata with potatoes are my favorites. The avocado toast is always crisp and not soggy, the dill adds a nice freshness to the dish. The coffee drinks are solid, my cold brew on my most recent visit was perfect! Definitely recommend!

My husband was adamant about me coming to this little town with him & I'm so glad I came. It's not very big but extremely adorable. I saw the sign for Morty & Edna's craft kitchen & had to try it. You order at the counter & the guy was extremely nice. I had the BLT with avocado & it was so good. My husband had the sandwich special bruschetta chicken...delicious. I also had the Apple Pie Cider by Cigar City & it was like drinking an apple pie yummm. We will definitely be back.

What a great little sandwich and coffee shop in a quant little shopping area in Lake Placid. Not a lot of options but they don't need a lot of variety since everything is great.

FANTASTIC!! My colleagues/friends and I met on Tuesday in the middle between St. Pete and Boynton Beach. There were a few places in what appears to be the cute 1-2 blocks of "downtown" Lake Placid and we are so glad we chose this one!The place itself is quaint inside and connected to a gift shop, which we never got to. They have a bunch of tables outside, where we sat on a beautiful day.The food -- again, FANTASTIC!! They each had salads that were very fresh and tasty -- from what they said. Me -- I had the chicken salad sandwich on pumpernickel bread and added their bacon, which is to-die-for!! The combination of it all was mouth-watering and something I wish was just 2 minutes away rather than 2 hours! That said, I've got another meeting next month that will be a middle-of-the-state gathering and Morty & Edna's will be the call!!Oh, and the cucumber lemonade -- a winner, too!

Since they have no hood nothing is actually cooked to order ... there is no grill or fry ladders just heating ovens and toasters... so your order is pieced together... it's a little pricey and most of the time good but the menu gets more limited around 1:30 cuz there breaking down to be closed by 2... and they mean 2 ... they want your butt outta there...Owners seem dedicated I just can't understand this obsession to close by 2 and limited menu by not having a hood and an actual grill...

Salad very good. The burrata could have had some more basil or a good balsamic glaze but overall for this town and drive was the perfect spot for a healthy meal. Also the small shops around and flowers was so cute

Unfortunately relatively few tables in this quaint place, but the food was creative and delicious. Several people making sandwiches, one person taking orders at the counter. Takes a bit of time but not long. Had the Barrata cheese and tomatoes on crostini slices. Excellent and inventive. From Wi and never heard of Barrata cheese, it's like fresh mozzarella in taste and texture with a creamier middle. As I ate it, I thought This is a truly Wi dish. My friends raved about their bacon and sandwiches that included bacon. They do a lot of carry outs on a weekend.
