Morgan’s Cove

We wanted to try something new and different in Tampa. We intended to beat the evening crowd and got there about 2:30...a great time for drinks and an appetizer. I want to go back to try more drink combinations. The firecracker shrimp was the best and the wings were also delicious.The ambiance was super fun, loved the whole Pirate and Speakeasy theme...well done.

I was so excited to check out Morgan's Cove as my family absolutely loves pirates and authentic tiki bars. We went on a Sunday evening, and they said they would text us when we could enter. We then decided to check out Yeomen's while we waited, and luckily were able to enter the speakeasy fifteen minutes later.Everything about Morgan's Cove was amazing! The pirate theming vibes, pirate themed music, incredible bartenders, and out of this world drinks. The four of us sat at the bar and had a front row seat of our amazing bartender, Ernesto creating his masterpieces. The four of us had fun trying each other's drinks. It was hard to pick a favorite, and it seemed like every drink I tried was even better than the last. Each drink was presented in a very unique way.My two favorite drinks were the Mac Nut Pearl Diver and the Gaspars Grog, but all the drinks were fabulous! We had such a great time, and I can't wait to visit again.

Okay, they don't call it a tiki bar, but Morgan's Cove is a tiki bar. Not a beach bar, which is what most "tiki bars" in the Tampa Bay area really are, but a tiki bar in the vein of Trader Vic's and Smuggler's Cove--and, of course, Don the Beachcomber, whose new incarnation is a relative. These are sophisticated cocktails, mostly rum-based, coupled with Disney-level theming. The drinks I've had have all been phenomenal, across three separate occasions.Yes, it can be difficult to get into; it's small and they do crowd control on busy nights. If you just want a beer or a highball, this probably isn't worth it. If you want a genuine experience, it's worth the fuss.

Wanted to have drinks near the arena before a concert && spotted the red light.... We were told there was a little wait but by the time we walked next door they were already texting us. The ship wreck decor was very nice. The service from the doorman to the waitress was awesome... I tried a few drinks with the cucumber one being my all time favorite. Had wings && firecracker shrimp which were huge && packed with flavor, the best I've tasted...

I tried twice to come to Morgan's Cove but the line was always super long so I decided to go right after work during the week and was so happy I did because there was no wait! I tried the "El Diablo" because I wanted tequila and it was delicious and just the perfect strength. I do wish there was a few more food options but the drink menu is pretty large. The decor is amazing and you genuinely feel like you are transported to a pirate ship.

The COOLEST place in Tampa! This is literally a hidden speakeasy. We walked by the secret door that looks like a bookshelf several times before we realized this was the place!My husband and I came here for drinks after dinner. Whoever decorated/designed this place did a phenomenal job. The shipwrecked pirate theme is perfect and gives this place great vibes.Drinks were fantastic! Our bartender was very friendly and knowledgable. I already want to come back here next time I'm in Tampa!

We had an amazing experience at this speakeasy. Starting off with the bouncers being very kind and informational. I want to give a big shoutout to our bartenders Brad and Ryan. They went above and beyond to make our experience exceptional. We had a lemon drop martini, a cosmopolitan, and two IPAs. The decorations and theming is very cool and it truly feels like you're transported into a different place in time. Such a fun experience!!

Awesome spot! We were in line before they even opened and there were already a few groups in front of us. They did a good job pacing the entry of the groups so as to not overload the restaurant and staff. They did have some standing room but we noticed those groups were more or less in and out after only a drink or soOverall, I loved the decorations and it really did feel like you were within a ship. Drinks were also great, and one thing I really appreciated was them ranking their drinks based on alcohol strength, so it was easy to be mindful about what we were drinking. For food, they do keep the menu pretty condensed and it's just a few appetizers which we had already prepared for but it is good to keep in mind. We went with the devils on horseback and it gave me a new appreciation for dates. Overall, definitely a spot worth checking out

Pirates, Rum and good vibes!!What a fun spot this is, and the decoration and ambiance are *chefs kiss*As we walked up to the front entrance on Morgan st there was already a line to get in before opening time, this doesn't surprise me as it's so new.Thankfully, we had reservations and were able to be seated promptly! The entrance was incredibly fun and made you feel like you were in the belly of a ship! They really did an excellent job decorating this spot.Every drink we went with was crafted very well and tasted fantastic. Spoiler alert, the zombie may taste harmless but it will make its appearance before you know it in strength! (Must be why there was a 2 limit!)My real only grip with the spot was they allowed people to be standing around which not only made it crowded but you no longer felt any intimacy with your group. A couple of drunken sailors can really bring a nice conversation to a halt! The prices were far more reasonable than expected geographically, i personally felt the drinks were worth more with their execution and strength. Well done.Overall Morgan's cove, we really enjoyed checking you out, and I will be very excited to come back when I'm in the area for the evening!

I was looking for unique places to try in Tampa. I came across this unique bar. I love speakeasy that have a good theme and this gave me just that. I love the decor. It made me really feel like I was on a pirate ship. They had good pirate theme music to set the atmosphere also. The customer service was excellent. I was checked on frequently to make sure I was doing okay. I had the Saturn drink which was really good and I was told was one of the popular drinks. I would definitely come back and bring friends along.
