The moment you step into Moreno bakery your senses is assaulted with the smells and tastes of Cuban/Latin cooking. Sometimes I wish they could capture this scent in a candle; I'd buy a dozen. The braised pork is delish. The chicken in yellow rice is outstanding. The meat empanadas are soooo good! They have Cuban sandwiches on two different style breads and you can build your own sandwich. Then there is the bakery side. Miles of shelves with soooo many baked goods. The fudge brownie cookies are fantastic!!

The best cupcakes in town! They're always moist, flavorful, and perfectly sweet. The bakery has a great selection of treats, but the cupcakes are definitely my favorite.Everything is fresh, and the quality is always consistent. Whether you're grabbing a quick treat or ordering for a special occasion, you can't go wrong here!

Saturday 9/14/2024I first tried this spot nearly 2 years ago (before I really became a yelp foodie) and that previous review is hilarious cause my opinions have changed ALOT.I got a bread pudding slice $3, guava bread pudding slice $3, carrot cupcake $4, cookies n cream cupcake $4, cinnamon roll $3, media noche sandwich $9.50, and a chicken empanada $3.50. - The regular bread pudding was my favorite of the two and on the bottom it has a unquie crème brûlée type of bottom with a caramelized finish and slightly hardened texture.- The guava bread pudding was decent with a good amount of guava but I prefer the regular.- The cinnamon roll had a HUGE FALLOFF: there was a significant lack of icing (when compared to 2022) and it was below average in taste.- The carrot cupcake is a big cupcake that's topped with cream, cinnamon sugar, and nuts. It's solid but not quite as good as 2022.- The cookies n cream cupcake is a big cupcake but it's also not as good as my 2022 visit, just solid.- The media noche sandwich is still good but not as good I originally remembered.- The chicken empanada was okay but there was a lack of filling on both ends of it which just ended up being air pockets. Also the chicken filling itself was pretty dry & not moist at all.Overall, the items tasted better on my first visit (2022) vs my recent visit (2024). While I notice I greatly overrated this spot before, I can still admit that it's a cool spot for bakery & items food items that I would be open to returning to.

Literally my favorite bakery in Brandon. The tres leche top tier the best I've event had. They didn't have the pineapple upside down cake which is too two for me. The original cannolis were not available which is number 3 for me. But I was able to get my number one the tres leche so it was a successful trip. There is seating inside and they also have a hot bar with Cuban food. The service is great but they do move fast it can get busy.

Came in for lunch with my mother and she got the steak sandwich and I got the Cuban sandwich and I have to say her sandwich was far superior to mine. Not to say that my sandwich was bad just liked her sandwich much better. I will say they have the best desserts! We received our sandwiches in a timely manner. Always enjoy visiting Moreno's Bakery.

Moreno's is Brandon's best/worst kept secret. (Pretty much no one from outside of town has heard of it, but the locals come here in droves)They make amazing cupcakes, bread and other baked goods while making the best Cuban sandwich in Florida. My personal favorite is the pork sandwich, which is one of the best things I've ever eaten. I love this place, and cannot recommend it enough!

I haven't been to Moreno's forever and forgotten how wonderful it is. They have everything from lite bites to thee most incredible desserts. I went Friday evening, sadly on a partially full stomach. My eyes wanted to try everything, but my stomach settled on chicken noodle soup and a chicken empanada. O M G, it was the right choice and more than filling. The soup was thick and hearty, with a chunk of corn on the cob and chicken in it. The thick cut veggies were tender, not mushy and the broth was perfectly seasoned. I could not eat it all and had the leftovers for lunch on Saturday and it was just as perfect the second time around. As for the empanada, perfect! Thick pieces of chicken and fresh spices wrapped in a heavenly dough. I couldn't eat all of it and brought it home for a midnight snack. Still tender and wonderful hours later. The reason I could not eat all of my meals was that my dining partner and forever decided on the Swai fish with spinach soufflé and yucca. The tenderness of the lightly fried Swai and spinach soufflé was something my fork could not keep resisting. The creaminess of the soufflé left me wanting more. The yucca was tender and warm. Unfortunately, none of his meals made it home. This hidden gem is a few mere miles from home and I drive by it almost daily. Sadly, I did not try any desserts. I've had their sweets before and they are beyond delicious. I think I will stop by one morning this week and treat my office staff to their wonderful sweet morsels and do a post just on them. A wonderful find in Brandon and worth going back!

Such a hidden gem! Great place to grab lunch, breakfast, dinner, treats! Amazing bakery/dessert selection! Tried many treats in past all delicious! Recently was able to try their vegetarian plate/ pick entree and two sides. My favorite is the yucca, perfect lemon/garlic flavor and very well cooked! Place can get busy/packed but service is always fast. You order at different counters, they plate it up and save it until you are done shopping around/ordering and then pay at the register, you do have to wait in another line after ordering to pay, but things still move pretty smoothly. It's a large deli/bakery, plenty of seating , clean. Would definitely recommend!

This place is a MUST STOP when you're near Brandon. This place has so much to choose from. One side is lunch specials, the other is the bakery, and the middle is coffee and where you pay.Service is usually fast, but because of its local popularity, there may be a little line. The place is wide open with seating in view of everything. So, to say there's ambiance would be misleading. It can get noisy in there. Parking at times can be a challenge as the lot shares space with several businesses. But even with the minor inconveniences, it's still worth the stop. Some of my favorites are the ropa vieja, picadillo, rice and beans, cafe con leche, quesito, and their pan de bono.
