Moon Frog Arepas

Delicious Venezuelan food! Had the avocado chicken bowl. Nice portions and good flavor. Only wish pricing was on his menu. This is a food truck that stays at this location. No gluten on the food truck!

I stumbled upon this food truck randomly and boy am I so so happy I did! I do not live in the area and it's such a shame because these arepas are something I crave daily and want everyone I love to try. Not only was the arepa out of this world but I wanted to drink the green sauce that came with it. I also got a side of fried plantains because duhhh and they were perfectly crisp and sweet. The 50/50 arepa was half chicken half beef and it was loaded! I wanted to save half for later but it was too good to put down. Not only was the food delish but the service was even better. The young lady working the register in the truck was so sweet, she probably thought I was crazy when I said it was my first time having an arepa, I myself can't even believe I waited so long to eat something so delicious. I can't wait to be in the area again so try another variety of arepa!

I have visited Moon Frog Arepas for lunch on a couple occasions and have had good experiences each time. I have tried the Beef Arepa, Chicken Arepa, Seasoned Fries, and Fried Sweet Plantains. The Beef Arepa was stuffed with a thick layer of tender juicy shredded beef and melted cheddar cheese. The Chicken Arepa was filled with a generous portion of tender juicy chicken and melted cheddar cheese. The Plantains were warm, gooey, and sweet and the Fries were crisp, savory and covered in a flavorful seasoning. Overall, Moon Frog Arepas is a nice stop for lunch.

Moon frog may be a small food truck but they pack a huge flavor. The husband and wife team are seriously whipping out some awesomeness. My favorite was their avocado chicken arepa it was absolutely phenomenal. Must order the plantains.

If you've never had an arepa this is the place to try it first! First off the service is always amazing. I always get the chicken bowl and it comes with chicken, rice beans and more! Also the green sauce they have is to die for! If you're in downtown Tampa make sure to stop here!

Sleeper hit! I don't even usually care for arepas but my food was phenomenal. I ordered the Chicken Mechado ($13.39) via Uber eats. Was ready very quickly, amazingly packed, everything cooked to perfection. Lady who handled my order was really friendly. I'd suggest the food truck improve their signage game though, so it's easier to find on foot.

I was on my way back to the hotel after getting some lunch to go when I bumped into this inconspicuous food truck. The name was unusual so I thought I d give them a try. I grew up in Tahiti where food trucks were the norm. So, I asked about the avocado chicken arepa.Mr. Shane, the owner, gave me a nice suggestion about the menu so I ordered one to go. Within no time, I got my order and ran back to the hotel.I opened the box and that baby was gone in no time. Seriously, I wish I ordered 2 more!The crunchy part of the shell mixed with the nice avocado/chicken filling was a perfect combo. The filling was moist and generous.Hopefully, work will send me back to Tampa soon so that I can indulge at this place.Moon Frog Arepa is a must try. It gives us a nice opportunity to try something new and delicious.On top of that, it s great to support the little guys.

Avacado chicken bowl is fresh, tasty, flavorful, especially the cilantro sauce is out of this world. Order fries with no seasoning (seasoning on the side). Very friendly service. Location from map doesn't reflects actual truck spot, it's across the street corner of parking lot.

Rain or shine they are still there, worker was super friendly. I ordered their beef arepa, it was super tasty, nice snack size to hold you over for dinner, if your hungry you want to get 2.

I ordered for the first time since the new ownership took over and was very disappointed! I approached the window to pickup my order and was not acknowledged as the guy clearly saw me. He continued to pack an order and never said "Hi, I'll be right with you" just totally ignored my existence. I was in the hospitality industry for 20 years and greeting or at least acknowledging the customer at the counter is customer service 101. I don't think that's asking for much as a paying customer. So I left without picking up my order. Will not be returning. The old owners were the nicest people ever! Can't say the same for this guy
