I was in the mood for a burrito so I turned to Yelp and Yelp delivered! This is a total hole in the wall family owned and ran restaurant with amazing food. We got the guacamole and chips and Yelpers were right. It was served with homemade chips and it really hit the spot. My party ordered tacos and burritos and everything was delicious! Yum yum yum!!!

Food and service was great! Very friendly staff and the ambience is nice and quiet. The murals on the wall were stunning! But the cleanliness was my biggest concern. Tables and chairs were very worn out, topping bar was very messy, and air conditioning didn't work very well.

One of the most authentic Mexican Restaurants I've had in the Tampa Area. Food is pretty good. I saw another review about the food being slow. It must have been an off day because I have been there a couple of times during the last three years and whether I order to-go or dine-in the food comes out quickly. Service is good. I will have to note the cleanliness leaves much to be desired. The restaurant could definitely benefit from a deep cleaning.

I'm not well versed in authenticity with Mexican food, but I will say this places is awesome!We have driven by this little corner place several times and wondered about it so we finally took the plunge.This is a small location with its own parking lot.There is both indoor and outdoor seating.The menu is in Spanish/English and the people who work there are super sweet.I ordered a burrito supreme and asked if it had lettuce, sour cream - the usual 'supreme' stuff. Well it doesn't, and it seemed like total blasphemy to the waitress, hahaha. It did however, have rice, beans, cheese, and pica de gallo (sp?) It was awesome.My husband got a dinner plate with rice, refried beans, and pork carnitas. He said they were the best beans he's had in a long time!They have a few kid style drinks on the menu, the Spanish sodas, the piña drink, and a hibiscus tea lemonade that is yummy. However the drinks very quickly increase your bill. We went from $33 in food to a $55 bill with drinks and tax so keep that in mind. We will definitely come back here again!

I happened to stop in to try them out! I loved the food and staff was very friendly and helped me with any questions I had. I loved the Al pastor sopes and the tacos. They have a little bar where you get your own sauces and cilantro and onion and many more things to add in your plate as a topping. I will return when I'm up in the area as I live in St Petersburg. They had music on and the vibe was great. I love the cup they put the horchata in.

Super slow service. Food was good, went to both bathrooms before leaving but there was no soap in neither the men's or women's yet the chef had just come out from using them 2 minutes earlier....Yum food but due to the unclean conditions I would not recommend or return.

This place is so delicious. The owners are super nice and unfortunately I didn't take pics of the tacos we had but managed to get a picture of the Hibiscus lemonade and it's incredible. Will definitely return and drive 30 min to eat here again

When you've lived in another country, and have fallen in love with the local foods, trying to find the flavor at home can be really disappointing.Monterrey Taqueria (Tacqueria Monterrey) is muy authentico! My husband had the carne asada burrito complete with beans and rice; I had a couple of pollo tacos and one carne asada. It was all good, but the carne asada is just killer good. The Auqa Fresca Melon was incredibly good. We will be back again and again.
