When we walk in the door, we greeted with very friendly staff. They told us to pick a seat. There were two other parties of six in the restaurant. They old Man was an Irish pub. I got the classic corn beef sandwich with fries and my husband got a cod fish sandwich with fries. We got onion ring apple Tazer, which was a 10. My sandwich was a eight in the fries were hot and crispy. My husband said his sandwich was OK and it needed more fish. Our waitress forgot about us several times and we watched her at the bar on her phone. Would we come here again? Probably not. Their service sucked. As we got up to go to the bar to get our check, the manager told us to have a nice evening and we explained to him that we have not paid yet. I'm not sure what our waitress was doing. At that point there was only two parties of two in the restaurant.

This is a go to spot for me. It's close to my place of employment for after work drinks but they also have a great food menu! I always love being greeted by Aoife (Eee-fuh) the bartender who is always pleasant and welcoming and always remembers your drink order. If you're ever on the island definitely check it out.

Like waves on the shores of Ireland I crashed into this place after a long day of working. Seeking cold beer and good food to appear. The beer selection was crisp and served with a smile from a friendly waitress who invited us to stay for a while. Unfortunately the food fell short of my expectations. I perused the menu, which is pointless because every time I go to any Irish pub I always end up ordering the Sheppard's Pie anyway and this instance was no exception. Price was reasonable at $15 as was the portion, but overall the dish lacked flavor. The mashed potatoes had a quality similar to the instant variety I used to whip up in my college dorm room, and they buried the significantly more tasty meat mixture below like painful memories of years past. Nevertheless, I will likely give it another whirl as my entire crew all ordered the same thing so I have little appreciation for other menu items which may put on a better show to go with the well executed grungy Irish pub vibe that we all hope to see in a restaurant such as this.

I think the main issue with this place is the lack of staff. From the sounds of it, the kitchen had one or two people back there and they had no waiters when we went for weekend brunch. Yes, they had NO waiters. One of the bartenders had to help us and while she was lovely, we probably spent overall an hour more of what we wanted to just from waiting. The restaurant was probably 60-70% occupied at that time. The food is bad. I had a vegetarian omelet and grits. The omelet was watery but otherwise fine. The grits were more like soup. They were seasoned well, surprisingly. Coffee was fine. Price is fairly cheap for Davis island but still expensive. We got off alright since they comped my bf's toast after he waited an additional 20 minutes to get it because they forgot his order. They need more staff to help, issues like that are less likely to happen.I'm giving it 2 stars because my boyfriend liked his French Toast.

I've been coming here since they opened. Nice local Irish pub/restaurant on Davis Islands. We typically go for breakfast. Their blueberry pancakes are great. The eggs Benedict can be hit or miss. On our visit there on Sunday the eggs Benedict were an F. Almost no Bearnaise sauce on them. Is there a shortage of Bearnaise sauce on the planet? The EB English muffin they served were more like an English sponge being of lousy quality, not toasted, thick and sponge like. I asked the rookie waitress to tell the owner but alas nothing from the lass. Please use Thomas's English Muffins not some crap sponge like whatever. I could have stayed home, poached a couple of eggs and put them on a sponge I have under the sink and saved the $13. Straighten up or we won't be back.

As a recent frequenter just recently, I've eaten and drank here and listened to the Irish jams on the 3rd Sunday of each month. The service is pretty good, usually only 1 bartender(ress) and maybe an additional person helping serve during busy/peak times. There is a very casual atmosphere and although I really miss the Pink Flamingo who used to sit in this space, I can appreciate the Irish vibe and like what I've seen so far. The one thing from a decor standpoint I wish they would have fixed is, you can see on the floor where a knee wall used to sit. I think there could have been a better job "finishing" the joint. The fish sandwich was very good and sat on a big fluffy bun. My husband had the fish n chips (always the first thing to try in a new Irish spot). Another time I had the shepard's pie with a side salad. It was pretty good!Unfortunately, I think the only decent cider on the menu is Magner's.All in all, I like it all pretty well and plan to be back more and more times.

Came here by myself for brunch. Freaking amazing food. Service was extremely friendly but slow. However the wait was worth it. The meal was delicious, freshly made and very Irish American authentic (at least from my Puerto Rican New York perspective). There were several pups out on the patio and servers were attentive to all of them. Friendly atmosphere, amazing food, neighborhood atmosphere, and nice vibe. Can't wait to come back with family and friends. I just may make this my Sunday sports. With the World Cup coming up, I will be watching as many games Molly Malone's on Davis Island.
