Mofongo Steakhouse Seafood Bar & Grill

Super interesting place. Lighted flooring like a disco. Food was good. Service not so much. My wife loves Mofongo as we get in Puerto Rico every trip. Good but not the same. Some of the food is prepared in advanced so any food allergies can be a concern.

1. I love the contrast of the outside and inside vibes. The outside seems more relaxing but as soon as you step inside you are transported to what seems like Latin nightlife. I felt like dancing and I could also see myself having lunch with a few of my colleagues here. I was not expecting a full blown Latin personality when entering. I absolutely love the vibes on the inside of this restaurant. I felt like I was in another country. 2. I really enjoyed the service. The bartender Jose was amazing, he was friendly, engaging, and enthusiastic about the restaurant. He made many suggestions and I settled on his signature Blue Hawaiian drink which I highly recommend easy to drink and deliciously sweet. Carla was my server, she was super nice. Loved the service I got. 3. The fresh bread Carla served was warm and toasty on the outside soft on the inside with butter and a lite garlicky taste. Delicious. As I said early I washed it down with the Blue Hawaiian at which I tried to pace myself while drinking it but it was hard not to suck it down. I ordered the steak medium well with of course the mofongo. The steak was delicious very flavorful and the mofongo not only had flavor but also had chucks of meat (i think it was chicken but not really sure). The mofongo was a little on the dry side but paired well with the steak. I still would have preferred it be a bit more moist but the flavor made up for it. 10 out of 10 highly recommend. Definitely will order from here again.

I've seen comments in which the diner has stated they wish they could give a zero; well, I can understand their frustration, but, even with horrid meals -I offer a one. I recognize good food of many cultures due to travels, but this isn't it, apparently. I dropped the food off after a quick order & heard nothing but awful comments. I've never had bad mofongo (thank goodness) but went to neighbors to find cold, clumpy, and against my better sense I tasted, and that's where this review will end. Neighbors photographed & took to restaurant-will see if still on her roll. Eat well! Enjoy!

Un lugar bonito y acogedor , pero el servicio es muy lento , la calidad de la comida muy buena , el mofongo delicioso , los tragos ricos pero como dije demorados , el new york steak resulto con buena presentacion pero fuera de termino , crudo por dentro .. el resto de los platos perfectos .. Recomiendo mejorar servicio , mas meseros , un bartender para que los clientes sean atendidos en tiempo

Great food and great atmosphere. Server was nice and attentive . The staff are mainly Spanish speaking but the menu is in both Spanish and English so we made it ;)

We are not experts in Mofongo but anything combined with steak has to be good, right? We called ahead and ordered over the phone since we were nearby. The steaks were very affordable and the service was very professional. The hostess made very sure our order was complete and included multiple kinds of fun, tasty sauces.All the food was good but our medium rare steaks were more like medium well. Still, no serious isssues and good service. Life is good with steak!

I was in the mood for some Puerto Rican food. Something good that made me feel home. I pass this place often and decided to stop in today.The atmosphere is nice. Inviting. Outside seating available. Bar area. We were seated quickly. We placed our order and it seemed as if two waitresses were attending us. No big deal except that could be why my order came in wrong. We didn't complain though. We ordered Mofongo with chicharron de pollo with bone.White rice with beans and boneless chicharron de pollo. The didn't have chicharron de carne so my daughter settled for carne frita.I also ordered a side of tostones with Mayo ketchup. When our plates arrived..Mofongo plate had boneless chicken. (Not the correct chicharron) it was not fried hard. So didn't give the chicharron vibe at all. However it was flavorful.Rice and beans had the bone in chicharron and it didn't appear fresh. Jasmine rice was good but a surprise for that meal.The Mofongo was a bit oily otherwise tasty. They forgot my side of tostones and by the time they brought them out, we were ready to go. Overall food was a 5/10.

My family and I , party of 16, had reservations for an early dinner today. It was early enough so we didn't think twice about our large party. Everyone put their orders in and the food started to come out slowly. After about 4 food deliveries the orders started to trickle out slowly. Long story short, 4 of our guests never received their orders after two hours of waiting. Mind you, one order was just chicken breast with onions, really?!?! No show. Not only that but 7 servers came over to ask what was going on. The place is the size of a living room, again I say really?!? The food that did come out was decent but service and communication was so poor. They did make sure that every drop of water was paid for though, lol. Even gratuity is included in the bill, so what if you never got your food , lol. Zero stars and ten thumbs down.

Wish I could give it a negative 5!!!I have never met a bunch of racist pigs in my life!!The monfongo was so bad . So lumpy and literally full of shrimp tails, crayfish legs, and other waste. I did not order shellfish of any kind.The ceiling rained dust onto my food. The music so loud it shook my table. Best of all the assume I could not speak Spanish, and stood there and talked about me at my table.Nasty foodNasty people SAVE YOUR MONEY

Trash, not worth the price. Paid $90 for two meals & side were missing. This stake is not rare. Disgusting i wouldn't feed this to my dog.
