Not sure what's up with Gerard leaving a bad review for a closed brick and mortar location. They're still open for catering and Saturday morning market when it's open.Love the bbq here! The best ribs I've ever had. I even got a slab for the 4th of July and all my friends loved them as well. The brick and mortar was never in a bad location not was anyone rude that worked there and it certainly wasn't a dive. The owner worked very hard to remodel the restaurant and made it very nice and a perfect atmosphere for food, music, trivia etc.Unfortunately covid forced the brick and mortar to close but I still stall their bbq. Don't overlook the smoked salmon either! It sells quickly cause it's sooooo good. I love that you have your choice of pita bread and not the basic garlic toast you get everywhere. Trust me, be a stalker too! It's the one time it's socially acceptable!

Why 4 stars? Because the sides were better than the meat, overall. --- --- ---I've had MNM on my radar for a while now, but I just don't get to St. Pete as much as I used to. But now, having a one-year old, it's actually kind of nice to have something to do like drive to St. Pete for a meal because it's something to shake up the normal routine. And if I've learned anything about one-year old's, they do not like the same old, same old.MNM has the vibes of an old school bar that hasn't been renovated in decades. It's dark and smells of cheap beer. It was kind of charming in a way, because it's been so long since we've been to a place like that.My wife and I both ordered a two-meat + two-sides plate so that we could share a bunch of things. I'll rate each of those:Brisket: 3.5 stars. Ribs: 1.5 stars. Tendons all throughout every bite made them almost impossible to eat.Pulled Pork: 3.5 stars.Pulled Chicken: 5-stars. Easily the best meat we ordered, and normally I'm not really a fan of ordering chicken at a BBQ restaurant.Baked Beans: 4.5-stars. Definitely not just your standard baked beans. Potato Salad: 4-stars. Ditto to above.Twice Baked Potato: 5-stars. Possibly the most delicious overall item. My wife certainly thought so.Bacon Mac-n-Cheese: 5-stars. Also, a must-have.And we really liked the option of choosing garlic pita for our bread. That was definitely a unique touch.Overall, we enjoyed our experience. I'm glad to see the culinary scene of St. Pete expand a bit north of downtown.

The Burg has a plentiful amount of BBQ restaurants, but there are very few that I would classify as a 5-star. This is one of the few that is worthy of the highest rating. Admittedly, this place doesn't have much curb appeal and I'm totally ok with that. From the moment you walk inside your senses come alive with the aroma of smoked barbeque.Came here with four of my colleagues on a Friday for lunch. This was actually a Yelp find and none of us had even heard of this place before. I chose the 2 meat, 2 side entree with brisket, sausage, baked beans, and the smoked bacon mac-n-cheese. I did actually read some of the reviews about the mac-n-cheese ahead of time so I knew it was a must try.The two trays came out a very short time after ordering. I was immediately impressed at the portion size and the amount of food that I was about to devour. Everything had such amazing smokey flavor. The mac-n-cheese was top notch and possibly the best I've ever had! The smoked bacon flavor was spot on. The sausage and brisket were delicious. Beans too!The price was somewhat concerning when I had first looked at the menu, but after tasting this incredible barbeque it was worth every cent! So delicious in fact, I returned here one week later with 4 different colleagues. All 8 of my colleagues are fans of this place and you will be too!

Really, really great BBQ. Fun space inside too. They also sponsored St Pete Roller Derby and I think that's cool.I got the pulled chicken sandwich, which comes in a mild BBQ sauce. But you've got a menu of BBQ sauces (tho they could use labels) to choose from to add on there - mild, hot, hot mustard, and XXX.Part of the reason I'm giving such a glowing review is the hot is actually hot, and the XXX is legit. I am so tired of going to restaurants that go, "Watch out, it's spicy" and by that they mean "It's asleep but it heard a scary story about a jalapeño once." Well this is not asleep and this sauce IS that flavor those other sauces are afraid of. A blast of the regular ol' hot straight onto your finger will make you cough if you eat it straight, and the XXX is definitely a rager, like people from countries that actually eat spicy food grade spicy, like you are on fire and will remain on fire. Also, heads up, because the XXX is so serious they usually just have 1 bottle of it hiding somewhere in the restaurant so you'll need to do some adventuring.I also got the twice baked potatoes. To me this is a potato, which you bake, scoop out, mix the scoopings with cheese and butter and bacon and maybe other shenanigans, put it back in and bake it again. They do the scooping and the shenanigans, but it's not served in the original potato. I don't know why that bugs me. I think because I'm a sucker for an interesting container ("Oh the drink is served in a coconut!")They have a great craft beer selection, which seems to change frequently. The bread pudding was good but VERY sweet. It and its whipped cream are covered in a caramel sauce, that would be fun if the bread pudding itself was light on sugar, but it all ends up being over the top.If I had to knock it at all it's that the parking lot is sort of odd - it's right off the street, like, someone could easily hit you pulling in or out right off, there's a weird ledge for sedans to traverse, and obviously that does not make the outside a welcoming area to eat. So if it's a nice day out you're probably not gonna get an outside dining experience here.

We enjoyed a fine meal here on Saturday night, when they have live music too! The singer, guitarist and harmonica player were playing silky bluesy numbers that still enabled us to easily converse. As for the food, first... All the sauces are made in house! They have sweet bbq, Carolina mustard and hot bbq. But, hidden behind the bar and available if you ask is the atomic XXX sauce. You must try it if you dare! All of the sauces were delicious! Our sides included collard greens, cole slaw and homemade mac and cheese with bacon. It was really an excellent mac and cheese clearly made with béchamel sauce and cheese being so creamy and tasty. With smoky crunchy bacon on top, life was definitely better than good! The bbq seemed to be more of the Texas style without much spice rub and served with pickles. While it was perfectly prepared and smoky, I prefer bbq with more spice. But, to each their own as there are no rules with bbq! We enjoyed ribs, pulled pork and brisket. Finally, the service was wonderful as we were checked on multiple times and we had no complaints, getting our leftovers to go for later. We look forward to returning!

MNM BBQ is a big restaurant with three parking spaces. All other parking spaces are noted as tow-away zone, so be careful. So, unless you plan on Ubering here, good luck. I really liked the dive bar atmosphere here, but the prices are really high for the small amount of meat you receive. The meat was alright, nothing phenomenal and mostly had a reheated texture. The side dishes are also overpriced and not that great. The potato has been reheated so many times that the butter is separating into oily bits. The BBQ beans were broken down and not that much was added to dress up the original canned flavor. If you are ordering a sandwich; the bread, rolls, and pita are very dry. There are not many barbeque restaurants to choose from in the area, that must be why they have so many customers. Maybe I just tried them on an off day. The staff was really nice, and there are some dive bar customers that come here to sit for hours.

If you are looking for a caterer, MNM BBQ is the guy for you. Not only is he an amazing personable guy, but the food was amazing as well. I had contacted him with very short notice in regards to food for a memorial event for my little brother that passed in a motorcycle accident. I was working on a tight budget as well. Mike quoted me a very reasonable price and came through with the food needed for the time I had to go on. Then he checked the day after to make sure things went well and to offer condolences again to my family and I. I will definitely be using Mike at MNM BBQ again in the future for other family events. Thank you Mike for everything you did

I read the reviews and drove 20 minutes to hopefully find good BBQ. Well the search continues.BBQ is supposed to have a smoke flavor and of the 3 meats we had the chicken had only a hint versus my ribs didn't seem to have any and I did not see a visible smoke ring on the brisket. Maybe it dissipated as we came in late and tasted like it had maybe been kept warm in an oven. Being from Texas but now a resident here we hoped to find a BBQ restaurant to compare to the bar set by Texas BBQ. (2 year search so far) My wife's comment " the sides were better than the BBQ". We ordered the 3 meat sampler and the quantity was decent for the price as it is enough to share. The bacon mac was excellent but not worth a $3.00 upcharge. Brisket upcharge of $4.00 if smoked flavor would have been fine. Potato salad was great a baked beans were decent. Pita and a dried out sandwich bun came with it when garlic toast should instead. Staff was great and they were a 4 star rating but I came for the BBQ and sadly this didn't do it for me hence the 2 for the cue.

This is probably one of the best BBQ joints in the St. Pete/Tampa area. I was expecting to walk into a grungy hole in the wall but it was so nice and shiny clean inside with shiny wood tables, wood paneling and a long bar area with flat screen TVs on the walls. They have a decent selection of local beers as well as the standard Buds. The BBQ itself was delightfully delicious! Tried the three meats combo with Pulled Pork, Spare Ribs and Brisket. The pulled pork was great with no overly fatty pieces in it, the spare ribs were cooked to perfection and the brisket was the best I have had in a very long time. It was so good that my very picky wife who didn't really want BBQ for dinner actually said this was a great choice for dinner tonight! This was the fastest I've seen my family eat BBQ with no leftovers, we usually always have leftovers! They have two sauces, one spicy and one sweet. The spicy was more tangy than spicy, kinda like a North Carolina style but not exactly. It was good but could have been higher on the scoville scale. The sweet was not that sweet at all which was great because I hate overly sweet BBQ sauce like almost every other place has.The sides were quite good as well. The coleslaw was awesome, again not too sweet but tastes like coleslaw should taste. The Baked beans again were not overly sweet, the beans I thought were perfect. The fastest side to go was the bacon mac and cheese, I was only able to get one bite in before it vanished so I really can't comment on how good it was. The only thing I wish they had here is baby back ribs, they are my favorite bbq item and not a lot of places have this. I must say that their spare ribs are so good that I don't mind not having baby backs. I also would not mind if they had burnt ends. Perhaps in the future. This will be my go to BBQ joint. You need to try this place. I've bee to 4Rivers for lunch a few times and as recent as just a few days ago (S Tampa) and this place is superior. This place is definitely the best tasting BBQ in St. Pete - I've tried them all. I will definitely be a repeat customer.

Ordered brisket and pork for a dinner event a couple weeks ago. All the guests raved about how delicious it was! Mike was easy to work with and very accommodating in coordinating pick up. I would definitely order from him again.
