Went to a friends wedding here and was thoroughly impressed with the venue! Since it's located in downtown St Pete, I was initially concerned about parking- but no worries- they had a private lot next door that was reserved for wedding guests. The ceremony was set up beautifully in a room that had the nice architecture of a chapel without the religious undertones. Cocktail hour was held downstairs in the basement area, while the transformed the ceremony area into the reception area. Staff was friendly, drinks were flowing, and a good time was being had by all.Even though the reception was in the same room as the ceremony, the refreshed set up with the tables and lighting totally transformed the room. There was a large area for a buffet, bar and eventually- dance floor. There's a lot of historic character to this venue- wood floors- wide baseboards, nice archways. Was a great choice for a wedding!

I had been dreaming of a wedding in Tampa, so stopping into this St. Pete venue seemed like a waste of time. I walked in and quickly changed my mind. My (now) husband and I completely fell in love with the Lyceum after walking in.The venue has a beautiful 1920's charm to it. From the beautiful chandeliers to the grand piano to the gorgeous balconies, the Lyceum is truly on of a kind. The way this place functions is really interesting, too. The ceremony and reception are held in the same spot. After the ceremony, the party proceeds downstairs to the basement for cocktail hour when the staff flips the upstairs into a reception area. The space looks like two completely different rooms, but completely beautiful in their own way.I must mention the staff. Brian and Cortney were both so easy to work with. They made sure my wedding day went like clockwork and were very attentive to all of my questions. I could not recommend the Lyceum more highly. What a spectacular venue!

What a lovely venue!I was recently in a wedding that was held at the lyceum, and it was beautiful! I am a sucker for historic buildings, so of course I loved the architecture, both inside and out. Inside, it looks church-like but isn't, so if you want the church feel without having your wedding or event in an actual church, this is perfect. My favorite part was the downstairs "cocktail area" - so cool! Perfect place for drinks and appetizers before the reception. The staff at the lyceum were very involved and on the ball, and everything from the rehearsal to the actual ceremony and reception went smooth with no hiccups. If you are looking to be married in the DTSP area, definitely check this venue out!

My best friend decided to look at this place for her upcoming wedding. It is simply beautiful. I was instantly impressed as soon as I walked into the building. You walk up a couple of stairs and there's a beautiful grand piano. It's a perfect entrance for a wedding! When I entered the ceremony room, my breath was taken away instantly at the size of the room, the decor, and the simple beauty of it. There's a chandelier on the ceiling that is so incredibly pretty. The stage area, it a great size for a small or large wedding party and the detail in the ceiling is just one of a kind. It use to be a church so there is a second story with chairs. On to the dance floor area. It's very spacious for everyone in your life who likes to get down on the dance floor. (This is where I will be spending most of my time).Downstairs they have a basement (it's so weird to see one in Florida), and it's for the cocktail hour. It also has a little stage and it's very very spacious. This venue is just so very beautiful. It has a lot of personality to it and I can't wait until I'm back there again for my friend's wedding!

Attended a friends wedding here recently and spent some time here for the rehearsal and the actual wedding and reception. The owner of the property seemed very accommodating and even helped the bride and her planner with suggestions during the interactions I observed. The place is definitely a hidden gem in the Downtown St. Pete area. The entrance and main area are breathtaking and retain the unique, historical charm of this prior church. The downstairs bar area, where the cocktail hour was held, was quite nice and a perfect transition area if you are looking for multiple areas for your event.

Attended my cousins wedding here December 2013 and had a nice time. The restroom stalls were a little small, but clean. It wasn't my style but I would recommend it to someone getting married in the area.

First time here as part of a wedding party and I have to give them their props...this is an amazing venue! I can't say much more than what other reviewers have already covered other than "ditto"! They are on point when they say that this place is perfect for weddings. It is a very charming establishment and the staff is easy to communicate with and very accommodating.

One of my best friends took me here to check out her wedding venue choice. I was absolutely amazing with the venue. The venue is right on mirror lake just blocks from downtown St. Pete. There is plenty of parking and if I heard the owner correct they can park over 200 vehicles at the venue. The entry is grand and has stairs that lead up to an area outside the ceremony space, complete with a grand piano. Pictures do NOT do this place justice. The ceremony space is spectacular and honesty needs minimal decoration do to the beautiful architectural details. The ceremony space is massive and can hold well over 200 guests. Curtains next to the ceremony space lead into the dance floor/buffet and DJ area. There is tons of space to dance around. Once thing I thought was really cool is they transform the ceremony space into the dining area, this not only allow guest to spread out but you can sit at your table and chat with people without being right on top of the dancing. Downstairs there is a massive space for cocktail area. There is a huge wood are and plenty of seating. My friend decided to sign her contract that day and the owner was very friendly and nice. I can't wait for her big day!!! I highly recommend anyone having a big wedding to check this venue out.

Just had my daughter's wedding here and it was perfection! Such a gorgeous and lovingly restored historic venue with so much charm and elegance! Julie did an amazing job of answering our questions, researching our options and seeing to every detail! I just can't say enough about the helpful courteous staff, the professionalism and consideration we were shown and the hands on 'attention to detail' that was evident throughout the event! Worth every penny! These memories will last a lifetime and we are so happy that we entrusted this incredibly precious event to their wonderful, caring and talented staff. Julie you are a marvel! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts! The Manly Family, parents of the Bride, Sarah! 06/01/19

I recently had my 50th birthday party at the Lyceum and my guest and I had a wonderful time. This was the second occassion I've utilize the Lyceum, the other was a wedding a few years back and each time the outcome was the same, an exceptional event. Courtney, Brian and the staff are great. They are easy to work with, helpful, knowledgable and very verry professional. And the Lyceum, ( the facility) well it speaks for itself, beautiful, and very grand. Thanks for making my 50th fabulous!!! If you are looking for a place to host any event not just weddings, I strongly suggest contacting the Lyceum. You'll be pleasantly suprised.
