Favorite Chinese take-out near downtown Tampa. Great portion sizes and quality at a good price

This is the classic, hole in the wall, NY-style Chinese fast food restaurant. We ordered via Door Dash. The food arrived in the predicted timeframe, and it was well packaged for the ride.My husband wanted dumplings and pork fried rice. He said the dumplings were good, and the fried rice was fine. The portion size of the medium fried rice was very good, at least enough for 3 people. The fried rice was very basic, but it did have proper long grain rice and it wasn't soupy with soy sauce, which I've seen at many cheap Chinese restaurants in Tampa.

Food and portions here are fantastic. Great quality and generous huge portions. My go to is a general tsos chicken combination meal with shrimp fried rice and a side of hot and sour soup. Hidden gem is that needs to be protected at all costs

This is my FAVORITE Chinese place. Total hidden gem! I've picked up my order and also frequently Uber eats from here - my food has always been perfect!! Hot, crunchy and saucy is my preference. I haven't even tried other Chinese food after finding this place lol. It is a bit of a hole in the wall and don't be deterred by the outside. Service has always been friendly and quick when I pick up too!

The staff was very nice and friendly. We were quickly greeted. While we were there they were cranking out the orders. Pick up after pick up and online order after online order poured in. I thought were might have found our new spot. The portions were GIANTANIC. We ordered two combo dinners (under $12 each) and a side of steamed veggies. The bag of food was so heavy I could barely carry it. $33 out the door with tax and tip and enough food to generously feed a family of 4 -5. One star for staff and one for portions. Our mistake was going inside the establishment. It had to be the filthiest restaurant I've been into....ever. I'm not sure how the health department allows them to be open. I'm not afraid of a dive or hole in the wall, but this was down right disgusting. Food on the floor, grease and dirt caked on the front of the fryers, food visibly sitting out. Door wide open allowing flies in. Cook wiped his nose with his bare hands and then proceeded to grab food. We got home, opened the containers, took a little on a plate from each container, tasted the food and after about 5 bites agreed we just couldn't eat it. Packed it up and drove out to find some unhoused folks and made their night with piping hot containers of Chinese food. If I had not visited the restaurant, it likely would have been just fine, but yall, it's really, really, really nasty inside. The place desperately needs a good scrubbing, sanitizing and visit from the health inspector.

My husband and I live in Ybor and honestly have NOT found a good chinese place since we moved in. I decided to look on my community page of our condo association to see if anyone had any recommendations. There were like 6-7 people that had recommended this place on a thread, so we decided to give it a whirl. It was late Friday night after running some errands and we were both just too lazy to cook. We had a hinkering for chinese food and scoped out their menu online. YEP! This was it for the night. At this point the menu caught our attention, so we ordered an appetizer of krab ragoon, 1 egg roll, the Bourbon chicken, and shrimp chop Suey for pick up. We sat around for a few minutes and decided to head over.We rolled into the parking lot and this place was packed. I mean, like full parking lot. My husband went in and within minutes he was out with our food. When I tell you it was fresh, i mean it. We got home and ripped open the bag. Both of our meals were huge, so big in fact that we ate it the next day, too. The food was delicious, like definitely what we were looking for in the neighborhood. Also, if you ask for their hot chili sauce - know that it is RIDICULOUSLY hot, but still great.

Literally just placed my order at Around 3 PM I was really confused about the menu so I was asking a lot of questions the lady on the phone today literally hung up on me and said she didn't have time for me and she had other people waiting.. I loved this place and honestly I will never be back again, I'm a LOYAL customer that's been coming here for 15 years. This was hands down worst ever customer interaction. I tried calling back a few times and SHE didn't Even tried to pick it up.. , I had to hang up and try again... Still no answer No way possible this was accidental.

They give you plenty of food. However, the food was very marginal. Not much taste to the Moo Goo Gai Pan or the Sweet n Sour Chicken. We will not go back.

These folks need to come up with a system. There aren't many Chinese carryout places nearby, so these folks don't really try as they have a corner on the market. Placed an online order on a busy night. The projected wait was 45 minutes. I arrived right on time. There were tons of people standing around for carryout. There was a young boy at the counter who was more interested in his phone than in being helpful. Bag after bag of food was placed on the prep table. Out of space, it started going onto the front counter. Oddly, no one took the food. There were a dozen people standing around waiting for someone to give order to the chaos. After 10 minutes and overflowing tables, I went up front and said, why are you not calling out these orders? The kid looked at me like I had 3 heads. He picked up a bag and called a name and the customer stepped up and took it. He said, "Sorry, I didn't know." Kid, this isn't rocket science and maybe one of the grownups in the back bringing up the food could maybe do something too? I finally found my own bag and left. Got home -- no napkins, no chopsticks, no mustard, no fortune cookie. Just food that was, by now, lukewarm. SMH. I won't be back.
