Mikeeo's Cheesesteaks Ybor

This spot is in a convenience store on 7th in Ybor. It has been a few different restaurants over the years and all have been pretty lame, if you ask me. Then here comes this spot. My boyfriend has been wanting to try Mikeeo's because he found the food truck's IG so when we saw a location opened in Ybor, we jumped on it. This place is sooooo good. The food was hot and fresh. My boyfriend got the Chasegfx and I also got the Chasegfx but added hot peppers and mushrooms. The cheesesteaks were well seasoned, cheesy, and super fresh. We also got fries, which were well seasoned and delicious.The staff was really friendly. Everyone was pleasant and seemed to really go out of their way.If I had one complaint, it would be that it is a tad pricey, but it's so delicious that I'm clearly going to be back so it's not keeping me from going there.

Need to update my last past due to customer service. Tried Mikeeo's two more times and have received the incorrect order. DO NOT attempt to alter or change the sandwiches as they are posted on the menu. Twice I ordered a sandwich requesting that they leave the catchup (who does that) OFF of a sandwich.... Both times there it was and was told , sorry. NEVER AGAIN. Try the Pizza next door, no catchup there.

It's in a convenience store. So the ambience looks like a convenience store. The staff are friendly and orders are taken pretty fast. Depending on the time you are there you might get your food and that's it. If you are there for a late night meal/snack you can expect longer wait times than what the staff tell you. It also might look pretty chaotic with no rhyme or reason as to who gets what when. The food is good but the process of getting it kind of distracts from it. Resulting in food coming in different temperatures.

Absolutely Amazing I had the pleasure to finally get my hands on the oxtail cheesesteak and my god my god the best sandwich I have ever had and i have had other sandwiches from mikeeos but boy he did it with this one ! Super fast service and in the middle of beautiful YBOR city gotta check this place out if you haven't already and runnnnnn n get you a oxtail cheesesteak asap !

Very good and worth the wait! I had the Allen Iverson which is salmon and shrimp! Super tasty and the fries were perfectly crisp yet tender! A welcome treat for my first visit to Tampa!

Ambiance : So walking in to the store was like a mom & popVersion of WAWA. I got the Meek Mill steak and cheese when I seen it had mayo and ketchup I was like okay they mix it together nah they odeee in mayo and then drizzle with ketchup like there was so much mayoI couldn't taste anything but mayo the fries were less than desirable. My son got the seafood fries it was not a lot given for $14 then the taste was lacking seasoning. Service was terrible the guy who took my order seemed like he hated his job and was not very helpful at all.

Being a Philly native, I think I know my steaks or at least what I'm use to. When I heard this place was as close as you can get, I needed to check it out. So I drove the 27 minutes to Ybor, only to find out it was located in what I would consider a bodega but hey never judge a book, right. Being new to Tampa it's pretty impossible to get a good steak. If I had to compare to Delassandro's, Max's, or Pagano's, this place did not hit the mark. First of all, the price is way too high for frozen steakum meat. I got a mushroom cheesesteak with s/p/k (for those philly native's), the price was $16.22. That is crazy for frozen steakum meat. Secondly, the cheese made the meat a bit soggy. It was a bit salty but overall okay. The best part of the steak was the roll. A Philly cheesesteak is best made with an Amoroso roll without that your sandwich is not complete. Secondly, they do give you a nice amount of meat, not like Pagano's but a good amount to enjoy the sandwich. I can't see myself going back unless I'm already in the neighborhood and yearning for something close to home. Now if they could just get some wudder ice and soft pretzels that would be killin the game. P.S. The cook, who claimed to be from Philly had a strong Jamaican accent (go figure); didn't change his gloves after touching everything and then my sandwich, WTF!!

Amazing cheesesteaks. I wanted something different but I'm glad they didn't have it. The cheesesteak was absolutely amazing.

I had the oxtail plate and my friend got their Philly sub.This place is inside a convenience store, which made it a little iffy.We walked in and we were greeted. I asked the cashier what was popular she indicated the oxtail sub it's the #1 seller.Now, remind you, it was about 12 o'clock when we went in and the place was completely dead. Once she mentioned the oxtail sub, I looked at the price and I said no way I'm paying $20 for a sub and it doesn't come with fries or a drink.So I figured it would be best that I get the plate. Then I knew I get the oxtail rice and two other sides which would be better pricewise, but boy was I wrong. I got a plate full of rice with 4 piece of ox tail, cabbage that was disgusting and plantains.For $25 dollars it's definitely not worth it!Granted, I did not try the Philly that my friend had but I did ask how it was . it was indicated that it was OK.. over price $16 for sub and they didn't use the correct bread.
