Miguel's Mexican Seafood & Grill

Great ambiance. There's a nice courtyard with outdoor seating when the weather allows. They have a decent sized parking lot with free parking which is always a plus. Most recently went for lunch. Had a chicken quesadilla. It was stuffed with filling which included onions, peppers, and mushrooms. It came with guacamole, sour cream, lettuce and tomato. It was also accompanied by sides of rice and beans which I didn't even get to because I was so full from the quesadilla. This place will hit the spot if you're craving Mexican. Service is friendly but a bit on the slow side. One of the members of our party needed a box and it took about 20 minutes for our server to remember to bring one.

Miguel's Mexican Seafood Grill Restaurant is located off Kennedy in South Tampa next to Acropolis Greek Tavern, Sushi Ninja, and ABC Liquor store. Miguel's has a cramped parking lot and many weekend nights there is more than a 20 minute wait so it's best to call ahead for reservations. The ambiance for Miguel's is nice. It is dim lit with white table cloths and a led lit bar in the background. Miguel's gives complimentary chips and salsa which is great. I really like the flavor of their salsa! 9/10 The appetizer Nachos for $15 came with handmade corn tortillas, fried & topped with refried beans, cheese & choice of Pork, Grilled Chicken or Ground Beef, Served with guacamole, tomato & pickled jalapeño. The serving size is large enough to split as a meal for 2 people if you're not super hungry. 8/10 Tacos Michoacán came with 3 handmade corn tortillas filled with sliced avocado, cilantro, onion & queso fresco with choice of Grilled Chicken or Pork or Shrimp for $18. The refried beans and tacos seemed a bit heavier and not as light as most other places. 7/10The Kids Meal Mexican Platters for $7 includes a rice & refried beans with one of the following items: Flauta, Burrito, Soft Taco, Crispy Taco, Enchilada, or Cheese Quesadilla. We went with the chicken quesadilla which was an up charge from cheese but the serving size was near adult size and my daughter could only eat half of it. I tried the quesadilla and it was very very cheesy and too rich and oily for even an adult to finish. I typically love quesadillas but I cannot recommend these quesadillas. 4/10 The Mexican Fried Ice Cream came with Vanilla ice cream covered in corn flakes and brown sugar. Then flash fried and topped with whipped cream, nuts, raisins, cinnamon sugar, and chocolate sauce. 8/10 Our service was a bit on the slow side. It took awhile to get another round of drinks and chips and salsa and to close out our bill after finishing our meal. Miguel's is more of a traditional heavy Mexican with oily meats and cheeses and refried beans and not the healthier California Mexican that I'm more accustomed to these days. Pricing seemed a bit on the higher side compared to vallartas, chuys, green lemon, and other Mexican restaurants I frequent so I would rate Miguel's lower than those. Pricing for fajitas and drinks is way overpriced average too. However, if you're in the south Tampa area, and craving traditional Mexican, I can definitely trying Miguel's!

If i could give Miguels more stars i would! The food is AMAZING! If you want to ball out and spend some money on the best tacos youll ever have then splurge on the Kobe Waygu steak tacos and youll thank me later!Drinks are very good too! Ive brought everyone from employees, bosses, family and dates here!

This is below average Mexican hiding behind pretty decor in order to substantiate overcharging for their food. Our steak was not cooked correctly, tortillas were not provided and the portion was mediocre. Charging nearly $30 for 3 shrimp and a couple of strips of skirt steak is criminal. Our server was fine. Maybe if you're a drinker you may enjoy this place, but, sadly, it's a no for me.

I came here with my family and really enjoyed the atmosphere. It's a nice place to eat. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. My only complaint was how bland the food was. I had been recommended this restaurant and was excited to check it out. I ordered the carne asada tacos with a frozen sangria. The drink was tasty and I enjoyed the extra toppings. The tacos were subpar however. Very little flavor. I just wasn't impressed with the food. It's a good place to come enjoy some drinks with chips and salsa, but that's about it. Even the salsa was lacking flavor. I just think they could improve on this element of their food.

I'd wanted to try Miguel's Mexican Seafood and Grill for a long time. We went for dinner when the sun was beginning to set and the ambiance was lovely! Miguel's has a very relaxed atmosphere, particularly in the courtyard where we sat. It felt like we were on vacation.We started off with their complimentary chips and salsa as well as the frozen house margarita. I really enjoyed their margarita! Very refreshing with a squeeze of lime. I ordered Miguel's special which came with a beef taco Miguel, chicken flauta, and cheese-stuffed jalapeño served with a side of rice, salsa, and refried beans. The chicken flauta was incredible. So crunchy, crispy, fresh, and flavorful. In the future, I would solely order the chicken flauta dish. The cheese-stuffed jalapeño was also very tasty, although I would call it a jalapeño-stuffed cheese as the ratio was very off. I didn't love the beef taco Miguel; the steak itself was good, but the "taco" was really just a flour tortilla with unseasoned steak, topped with melted cheese. It needed to be more cohesive with a distinct flavor.Overall, would highly recommend the chicken flauta and would definitely come back for happy hour!

Dining at Miguel's for the first time was a delightful experience. The server greeted us warmly and immediately brought out chips and salsa to start. I ordered the chicken quesadilla, which was absolutely delicious. The chicken was served in big, chunky pieces, and it was full of flavor. I also enjoyed a refreshing red sangria, which paired perfectly with the refried beans and rice. Our table shared a 1800 margarita, and everything was fantastic. We had a wonderful night and will definitely be back!

Sit down Mexican isn't one of my favorite cuisines, but hats off to Miguel's, they do it well. My chicken enchiladas were huge, absolutely smothered in cheese, and tasted great with big sides of rice and beans. The salsa with the free chips was nice and spicy, and the quest was great too, thin and savory. I had probably a third of my meal left and that was even without gorging myself on a whole basket of chips for once in my life. Prices were reasonable. I'd come back.

Reserved Private room at 8:30 for a birthday get together. We got in the private room at 10 PM. The group ordered margaritas which came frozen not on ice. Food was cold for all 10 people. And they did not notify us that there was no rice so eight out of 10 people did not get rice.They dumped the refried beans on the plate like it was Jail food .The waitress (Margo) was very accommodating. Not her fault. But the kitchen needs to tighten up. All in all friends gathering for a special occasion is a time for gratefulness unfortunately we couldn't be grateful this horrible food.

The food at Miguel's is always the best Mexican around. I drive over from St Pete to go there all the time. Everything is good. I like the ceviche.
