Mickey’s Subs

Who doesn't love a good sandwich ? Because I have found one of the best spots in Tampa for one. Enter Mickey's subs, which happens to share a space with a convenience store.Italian - so flavorful and another reminder to me for how awesome Italian sandwiches are. Typically one ingredient might stand out too much but the ratios here are perfect. London broil - it's essentially a roast beef sandwich but the horse radish sauce cuts through the richness of the beef and cheese. It's a great sandwich. Service was amazing because Mickey interacts and shows passion for his craft. We enjoyed our visit and can't wait to come back again

Mickey's Subs is the place to be if you are a sandwich lover. The sub shop is located in a quaint store in South Tampa. Mickey the owner was so nice and pleasant. He created the best Italian sub I have ever had in my life.The bread was fresh. The veggies were also fresh! Lastly, the homemade dress on the sub was chef's kiss. This place is the place to be.

This small sandwich shop is located inside the Duckweed Store. It can be a little hard to find if you are parking in the parking lot behind it. They have a pretty small and limited menu, but it is carefully thought out. I got to meet Mickey himself, and I would love to see his business thrive here. He explained his homemade sauces for 3 of the sandwiches. I opted for the Turkey Club instead though. It was great. I only wish it had a couple more slices of turkey on it. The sandwich was a good size portion for lunch. You can also opt to get it as a 12 inch as well. Mickey was very detail oriented, and he made sure that I got everything I wanted on my sandwich, including pickles. It was very fast service. There are tables to sit there and eat, but I took my sandwich to go!

The sandwich shop is tucked in the back of a nice bodega. It is a small ma&pa business that where each sandwich is made with love! I got a 6inch Italian and subbed spinach for lettuce. The bread is soft and chewy - SO GOOD. The meats are fresh and high quality. The homerun was that DELICIOUS homemade parm sauce that brought it all together. At first glance, I thought it wasn't enough beat, when you bite into it, you realize it's the perfect amount. It's simple but satisfying. Prices are also very reasonable! I will definitely be back to try the other sandwiches!

A hidden jewel located inside of Duckweed Urban Grocery & Liquor store in South Tampa off Westshore Blvd. Upon entry I was immediately greeted by Michael and given a little history as to how @mickeyssubs "Mickey's Subs" all started. Michael is very passionate and it shows in him telling of his story and his love for food. Thus, the reason for him starting Mickey's Subs because Tampa isn't known nor has a sandwich shop such as this. He offers 7 sandwiches to choose from in either a 6" or 12" depending on how hungry you are. I decided on the "Italian" sub which he mentioned was one of his best sellers and comes with Virginia Ham, Genoa Salami, Hot Sopressata smoked provolone, fresh romaine lettuce Roma tomatoes and Dill pickles and Mickey's Parmi Sauce. Since I'm not a salami fan, Mickey made my sub a little special with turkey and ham, hold the pickles and topped with his homemade parmesan sauce. Can you say finger licking good. I also got the "London Broil" which has "Roast Beef" w/ Aged Wisconsin Sharp Cheddar, Romaine Lettuce, roma tomatoes and dill pickles & Mickey's Mustang "horse raddish" mayo. I'll definitely be sharing with friends and making plans to return soon to try the "Cuban" sub. And for all my ole heads there is a classic Pac-Man arcade video game that you can play while waiting on your sandwich sub. Take about a blast from the past!! Thanks @yelptampabay

So thankful we have Mickeys subs in our neighborhood! Great sandwiches made with fresh ingredients. Make sure you get the parmy sauce. they'll even make a salad for you with all the sub ingredients.

My favorite place in Tampa to get a "hoagie", yes a cold sandwich assembled a certain way is referred to as a "hoagie". Quality ingredients, quality personnel, look no further Mickey's got you covered!!-G

Absolutely awesome sandwich shop in Tampa area! It is so hard to find a good sandwich or restaurant in the Tampa area as far as I am concerned... but I hit the jackpot with this one! Best darn sandwich shop in the whole area... 10 stars all the way! The guys were also super cool! Thank you for the great service and even greater Italian sandwich...
