This place used to be a Peruvian restaurant known as "Mi Tiendita peruana" the main cook bought the place and turned into a mixed cuisine restaurant. Including Peruvian and Honduran. The recipes remind me off my moms cooking in Peru. Very well made. The desayuno lurin it's probably the most sought out item on the menu. Fried pork, French baguette, pickled onions, sweet potatoe fried, and a tamal(corn meal soft savory wrapped in banana leaf cake) definitely worth it. Baleada it's something else definitely worth trying. The decor and ambiance really set this place apart from other small businesses. Everything was in order and very neat. Attention to detail. Enjoy!!

Finding myself hungry near lunchtime on Donagan, I remembered reading about this cafe that had great reviews. Feeling like some soup and something different I decided to give it a try. I sure am glad I did! This place is so good, nice dinging room, really homemade offerings. You have to give it a try. I had the beef soup which was filled with fresh vegetables including zucchini and large chunks of delicious beef. Was so tasty! I choose something I've never had before and don't really know what was in it. Baleada Sencilla super delicious! The tortilla was so fluffy and yummy, I loved the filling.

If you're looking for a hole in the wall place with a quaint family atmosphere, definitely check out Melina's Cafe! Delicious baleadas, fresh CentralAmerican horchata, and cafecito in a cute tea cup. There's also a small shop so you can bring some treats home.

We found this place by accident because we were craving some baleadas and WOW!! It's one of these little places that surprise you- in a good way! The owner is super sweet and cooks for you, then comes out and checks on your experience... it's one of those authentic experiences that you would get on your travels to South America- don't know how else to explain it.It's our second visit but they can count on us becoming regulars!

I was so excited to come to this restaurant because of the pictures I seen and it's a local business . There was a language barrier because I couldn't read the menu but the young lady in the front did speak English. I asked for grilled fish and she repeated back to me. She told me the wait would be 20 mins which I didn't mind especially if the food was going to be delicious. Other customers came after me and all of them ended up getting their food before me . I got fried fish instead of grilled (picture included) the price of this was $17. Overall I personally wouldn't recommend it to anybody. If you're also trying to support local businesses it's worth a try , maybe your experience will be better!!

We came here on the 4th of July hoping to eat some Central American food and boy were we pleasantly surprised!! The service was incredible. There was a language barrier, but the waitress was incredibly patient as I translated for our group. The food was so authentic, I felt like I was in my mom's kitchen. Standouts were the pupusas, the carne molida con tajadas, and the chaufa. The menu is exclusively in Spanish. I would keep that in mind if you're thinking of heading here.

I do not recommend u to come to the restaurant first of we order our drinks 10-15 minutes pass and it still haven't arrived also we hadn't even ordered our food.. we were planning on ordering soup and said it didn't have any when under menu it says they have it on the weekends it was only 2 and they didn't haven't more soup, not only but than we asked for fish and said they didn't have that either. We were just surprised that it was 2 and there's was no more soup. Not only that the there was only one waiter and it was a full house and we had been waiting for a while, our food entrees arrive and the waiter only brings 3 forks when we were 5 we ask her politely if she can bring us the forks and she takes around 10 min since she was talking to the manger about the way we were complaining. The manager comes out and we tell her about the soup and fish situation and I quote she says " my waiter comes to me crying because of the way we were treating her" and it gets better she says that she doesn't care what we say and proceeds to kick us out and not let us finish out meal in-front of a full house she says "we have to leave" that's not an acceptable way to react in-front of an audience trying to enjoy their meal.. don't recomend for u to visit this place...
