Mediterranean Diner

The place was packed tonight!! A huge party of over 20 walked in! The restaurant also did a ton of carry out while we were there. It was slammed, but the crew seemed to deal with it in stride! Our salads were fantastic, again! We tried the cheese quesadillas too. Real cheddar cheese in these. That salsa though stole the show. It's not a cheap out of the bottle Mexican salsa! This is Mediterranean salsa, made in house - and it's great!

There were 12 of us who visited the Mediterranean Diner today. Our waitress was wonderful! Great personality, attentive, funny and was very organized. The diner was pretty crowded, lots of chatter and happy diners. Our waitress took our drink orders then delivered them quickly. We selected our meals which came out rather fast, except for 3 of us. Others in our group began eating, all saying how good the food was. My meal arrived but the person seated beside me hadn't received her food until we were all almost done with ours. We asked our waitress to send over the manager. We complained about the last guest having to eat after we'd eaten and that it would be fair to comp her meal. The manager did the right thing and comped her meal. And told us all we would all get a free desert upon our next visit. We were very pleased. There were a few issues with some of our meals, which were corrected. The food was very good, plentiful, reasonably priced, plenty of parking, kid friendly and wheelchair accessible. I definitely recommend Mediterranean Diner to anyone wanting to experience good food with a flair. We will go back because we were well taken care of. I would've given 5 stars but some in the group had issues with their meal. When we go back, I may change my review to 5 stars.

This is truly one of the best diners in the area. Very friendly service, great portions, and good prices. It's hard to find an authentic diner here and we'll, for sure, be back.

The service was super friendly. Dina, our server, was genuinely interested in our experience and how was liked the food. I am from NY and have tried various restaurants' hummus and falafel. This was easily the best I've have tried. The hummus was well balanced and smooth. The falafel was crunchy on the outside, moist and flavorful on the inside. Nothing worse than dry falafel, lacking flavor. Salads were crisp and had fresh produce. The Tunisian kofta was moist and flavorful as well. Even the rice was seasoned well, containing fresh herbs.

Breakfast is easy. You know, some eggs, some kind of meat, maybe a little potato, some toast, coffee. It's pretty hard to mess up. In fact, I would say that it takes more effort to make a bad breakfast than it takes to make a good one. Well, let me tell you, this place is willing to put in the effort! My wife and I decided to go on a breakfast date here. When we got here it was very clean. That was nice. Our server was attentive and kind. She was nice. Then our food arrived. It was not nice. I ordered medium rare strip steak and scrambled eggs with hash browns and a side of hollandaise. My wife got shakshuka. We also ordered a side of corned beef hash to share. What I got was a plate of well done beef gristle and somehow, in defiance of all known laws of nature, rubbery hash browns. My wife got two eggs floating in wet salsa. The corned beef hash tasted like someone had opened a can of corned beef hash, put it in a colander, rinsed it, then fried it. Have you ever tasted Hollandaise sauce? Because the cooks at the Mediterranean have not. The hollandaise I received appeared to have been made by someone that had only ever seen a picture of it on TV. It was thin, and, I cannot exaggerate this enough, completely flavorless. This breakfast was so bad, we needed a safe word. After this breakfast my wife and I could not wait to get home so that we could finally get something to eat.Maybe the lunch menu is better. We'll never know, because anyone that can screw up breakfast this badly simply cannot be trusted with food that requires skill to make.

I had dinner there the other night. I ordered the French onion soup, which was fair. I had a Cobb salad for dinner and it was above average. The restaurant was clean with a nice friendly environment. My waitress was exceptionally prompt and friendly.

So glad this place is open in our area. Authentic Mediterranean food by a Tunisian chef. Outstanding salads, delightful dressings and the entrees were delicious. Ambiance is ok, pretty on par with Pasco dining. Service was good,not great. Our server missed my empty water glass,but another one noticed and offered a refill, so no demerits there. We had the carrot cake for dessert. It was not outstanding, but not bad either. We will definitely be back.

This is a hidden gem! It's in the Harmony Plaza on the SE corner of Hwys 19&52 New port Richie.Good food, lots of it with a very friendly and professional staff. BTW, I spent $8.76 on a McDonald's meal of a Muffin w/1 egg,1 bacon hash browns and coffee yesterday. Today I got 2 eggs, 2 bacon, potatoes, juice and coffee for $9.94!I live 60 miles away but, will definitely stop by if I'm in the area!

Was ok nothing to brag about. Food and service was just ok. Prices were good if that's what you're watching..

Mediterranean food is a whole different thing from burgers or pasta. But once you acquire a taste you recognize the difference between good and great.Today was my first time there. The first thing that impresses is it's clean, - here I mean squeaky clean.The ambiance is also Mediterranean in that the tables are not squeezed together, giving it an open leisure experience. There was no loud music, no TVs to distract from the "Cafe" ambiance. The service seemed also Euro in it wasn't constant or lacking. It was polite respectful courteous and helpful.But the food was more than delicious, it was memorable. The main meal was spiced appropriately, the salad was worthy of note with a wonderful dressing. The cook had it perfect. It was an experience that makes it a definite "I'll be back" but the pricing and portions were a breath of fresh air to my wallet. Put it on your list as well!
